Happy New Year,2008


Born is A New Year!
Gone is an old year;
Let’s add new cheer,
Live without fear.

Greet your neighbors;
Greet some strangers;
Greet all your friends;
And make amends.

’Tis never late
To change one’s fate;
Problems abate:
Wait for that date.

Forget past woes;
Forget chaos;
With hope, of course:
Thus, our life goes.

Abide in God;
Await His nod;
Avoid His rod,
And thank the Lord.

When God's with us,
There is no curse;
Walk without fuss;
He sure will bless.

Eighteenth Sunday After Trinity


It is so--ope thine eyes, and see -
What viewest thou all around?
A desert, where iniquity
And knowledge both abound.

In the waste howling wilderness
The Church is wandering still,
Because we would not onward press
When close to Sion's hill.

Back to the world we faithless turned,
And far along the wild,
With labour lost and sorrow earned,
Our steps have been beguiled.

Yet full before us, all the while,
The shadowing pillar stays,
The living waters brightly smile,
The eternal turrets blaze,

Yet Heaven is raining angels' bread
To be our daily food,
And fresh, as when it first was shed,
Springs forth the SAVIOUR'S blood.

From every region, race, and speech,
Believing myriads throng,
Till, far as sin and sorrow reach,
Thy grace is spread along;

Till sweetest nature, brightest art,
Their votive incense bring,
And every voice and every heart
Own Thee their God and King.

All own; but few, alas! will love;
Too like the recreant band
That with Thy patient spirit strove
Upon the Red-sea strand.

O Father of long-suffering grace,
Thou who hast sworn to stay
Pleading with sinners face to face
Through all their devious way:

How shall we speak to Thee, O LORD,
Or how in silence lie?
Look on us, and we are abhorred,
Turn from us, and we die.

Thy guardian fire, Thy guiding cloud,
Still let them gild our wall,
Nor be our foes and Thine allowed
To see us faint and fall.

Too oft, within this camp of Thine,
Rebellions murmurs rise;
Sin cannot bear to see Thee shine
So awful to her eyes.

Fain would our lawless hearts escape,
And with the heathen be,
To worship every monstrous shape
In fancied darkness free.

Vain thought, that shall not be at all!
Refuse we or obey,
Our ears have heard the Almighty's call,
We cannot be as they.

We cannot hope the heathen's doom
To whom GOD'S Son is given,
Whose eyes have seen beyond the tomb,
Who have the key of Heaven.

Weak tremblers on the edge of woe,
Yet shrinking from true bliss,
Our rest must be "no rest below,"
And let our prayer be this:

"LORD, wave again Thy chastening rod,
Till every idol throne
Crumble to dust, and Thou, O GOD,
Reign in our hearts alone.

"Bring all our wandering fancies home,
For Thou hast every spell,
And 'mid the heathen where they roam,
Thou knowest, LORD, too well.

"Thou know'st our service sad and hard,
Thou know'st us fond and frail;
Win us to be loved and spared
When all the world shall fail.

"So when at last our weary days
Are well-nigh wasted here,
And we can trace Thy wondrous ways
In distance calm and clear,

"When in Thy love and Israel's sin
We read our story true,
We may not, all too late, begin
To wish our hopes were new.

"Long loved, long tried, long spared as they,
Unlike in this alone,
That, by Thy grace, our hearts shall stay
For evermore Thine own."

The Light of Christ in the present darkness .

The Light of Christ In The Present Darkness


As the world becomes much darker, we have one hope that's brighter,
And as this world sinks even lower, our hope above is even higher,

Many people alive today look to a world body for the hope it brings,
And there is a darker man of deception who is waiting in the wings.

He's coming with a plan for peace while promising many other things,
But, through his false deceptive peace he will destroy many beings.

So as the days do get darker, we must indeed shine forth our light,
For the very day that we are raptured, will become the darkest night.

The needed Light for this darkness is The Light of Christ my friend,
He's the only Hope for the entire world as it spins towards the end.

After Christ left the earth He sent The Spirit with power and might,
For its The Holy Spirit within us who helps us send forth His Light.

For God gave us not a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of His power,
And that my friend should encourage us in the darkness of this hour.

But many Christians allow the world to put a basket over their light,
When the time it is really needed, is in the darkness of the night.

All through David's darkest trials, he joyfully lifted up The Lord,
Even in his darkest hour with true repentance his light was restored.

With the day almost over, like King David, we can say in the night,
You are my lamp, O LORD; for the LORD turns my darkness into light.

Don't Leave It On The Desk

DON'T LEAVE IT ON THE DESK

There was a certain Professor of Religion named Dr. Christensen, a studious
man who taught at a small college in the western United States . Dr.
Christensen taught the required survey course in Christianity at this
particular Institution. Every student was required to take this course his
freshman year, regardless of his or her major.

Although Dr. Christensen tried hard to communicate the essence of the gospel
in his class, he found that most of his students looked upon the course as
nothing but required drudgery. Despite his best efforts, most students
refused to take Christianity seriously.

This year, Dr. Christensen had a special student named Steve. Steve was only
a freshman, but was studying with the intent of going onto seminary f or the
ministry. Steve was popular, he was well liked, and he was an imposing
physical s pecimen. He was now the starting center on the school football
team, and was the best student in the professor's class.

One day, Dr. Christensen asked Steve to stay after class so he could talk
with him. 'How many push-ups can you do?' Steve said, 'I do about 200 every
night.'

'200? That's pretty good, Steve,' Dr. Christensen said. 'Do you think you
could do 300?'

Steve replied, 'I don't know.... I've never done 300 at a time.'

'Do you think you could?' again asked Dr. Christensen.

'Well, I can try,' said Steve.

'Can you do 300 in sets of 10? I have a class project in mind and I need you
to do about 300 push-ups in sets of ten for this to work. Can you do it?

I need you to tell me you can do it,' said the professor.

Steve said, 'Well... I think I can...yeah, I can do it.'

Dr. Christensen said, 'Good! I need you to do this on Friday. Let me explain
what I have in mind.'

Friday came and Steve g ot to class early and sat in the front of the room.

When class started, the professor pulled out a big box of donuts. No, these
weren't the normal kinds of donuts, they were the BIG, extra fancy kind,
with cream centers and frosting swirls.

Everyone was pretty excited it was Friday, the last class of the year, and
they were going to get an early start on the weekend with a party in Dr.
Christensen's class.

Dr. Christensen went to the first girl in the first row and asked, 'Cynthia,
do you want to have one of these donuts?' Cynthia said, 'Yes.'

Dr. Christensen then turned to Steve and asked, 'Steve, would you do ten
push-ups so that Cynthia can have a donut?

' 'Sure.' Steve jumped down from his desk to do a quick ten. Then Steve
again sat in his d esk. D r. Christensen put a donut on Cynthia's desk. Dr.
Christensen then went to Joe, the next person, and asked, 'Joe, do you want
a donut?'

Joe said, 'Yes.' Dr. Chr is tensen asked, 'Steve would you do ten push-ups
so Joe can have a donut?'

Steve did ten push-ups! , Joe got a donut. And so it went, down the first
aisle, Steve did ten push-ups for every person before they got their donut.

Walking down the second aisle, Dr. Christensen came to Scott. Scott was on
the basketball team, and in as good condition as Steve. He was very popular
and never lacking for female companionship.

When the professor asked, 'Scott do you want a donut?' Scott's reply was,
'Well, can I do my own push-ups?' Dr. Christensen said, 'No, Steve has to do
them.' Then Scott said, 'Well, I don't want one then.'

Dr. Christensen shrugged and then turned to Steve and asked, 'Steve, would
you do ten push-ups so Scott can have a donut he doesn't want? ' W ith
perfect obedience Steve started to do ten push-ups. Scott said, 'HEY! I said
I didn't want one!'

Dr. Christensen said, 'Look! This is my classroom, my class, my de sks, and
these are my donuts. Just leave it on the desk if you don't want it.' And he
put a donut on Scott's desk.

Now by this time, Steve had begun to slow down a little. He just stayed on
the floor between sets because it took too much effort to be getting up and
down. You could start to see a little perspiration coming out around his
brow.

Dr. Christensen started down the third row. Now the students were beginning
to get a little angry. Dr. Christensen asked Jenny, 'Jenny, do you want a
donut?' Sternly, Jenny said, 'No.' Then Dr. Christensen asked Steve, 'Steve,
would you do ten more push-ups so Jenny can have a donut that she doesn't
want?'

Steve did ten....Jenny got a donut.

By now, a growing sense of uneasiness filled the room. The students
werebeginning to say 'No' and there were all these uneaten donuts on the
desks.

Steve also had to really put forth a lot of extra effort to get these
push-ups done for each donut. There began to be a small pool of sweat on the
floor beneath his face, his arms and brow were beginning to get red because
of the physical effort involved.

Dr. Christensen asked Robert, who was the most vocal unbeliever in the
class, to watch Steve do each push up to make sure he did the full ten
push-ups in a set because he couldn't bear to watch all of Steve's work for
all of those uneaten donuts. He sent Robert over to where Steve was so
Robert could count the set and watch Steve closely.

Dr. Christensen started down the fourth row. During his class, however, some
students from other classes had wandered in and sat down on the steps along
the radiators that ran down the sides of the room. When the professor
realized this, he did a quick count an d saw that now there were 34 students
in the room. He started to worry if Steve would be able to make it.

Dr. Christensen went on to the next person and the next and t he n ext. Near
the end of that row, Steve was really having a rough time. He was taking a
lot more time to complete each set. Steve asked Dr Christensen, 'Do I have
to make my nose touch on each one?'

Dr. Christensen thought for a moment, 'Well, they're your push-ups. You are
in charge now. You can do them any way that you want.' And Dr. Christensen
went on.

A few moments later, Jason, a recent transfer student, came to the room and
was about to come in when all the students yelled in one voice, 'NO! Don't
come in! Stay out!'

Jason didn't know what was going on. Steve picked up his head and said, 'No,
let him come.'

Professor Christensen said, 'You realize that if Jason comes in you will
have to do ten push-ups for him?' Steve said, 'Yes, let him com e in.<
BR>Give him a donut.'

Dr. Christensen said, 'Okay, Steve, I'll let you get Jason's out of the way
right now. Jason, do you want a donut?' Jason, new to the room, hardl y knew
what was going on. 'Yes,' he said, 'give me a donut.' 'Steve, will you do
ten push-ups so that Jason can have a donut?' Steve did ten push-ups very
slowly and with great effort. Jason, bewildered, was handed a donut and sat
down.

Dr. Christensen finished the fourth row, and then started on those visitors
seated by the heaters. Steve's arms were now shaking with each push-up in a
struggle to lift himself against the force of gravity. By this time sweat
was profusely dropping off of his face, there was no sound except his heavy
breathing; there was not a dry eye in the room.

The very last two students in the room were two young women, both
cheerleaders, and very popular. Dr. Christensen went to Linda, the second to
last, and asked, 'Linda, do you want a donut ?' Linda said, very sadly, 'No,
thank you.' Professor Christensen quietly asked, 'Steve, would you do ten
push-ups so that Linda can have a donut she doesn't want?' G runtin g from
the effort, Steve did ten very slow push-ups for Linda.

Then Dr Christensen turned to the last girl, Susan. 'Susan, do you want a
donut?' Susan, with tears flowing down her face, began to cry. 'Dr.
Christensen, why can't I help him?'

Dr. Christensen, with tears of his own, said, 'No, Steve has to do it alone.
I have given him this task, and he is in charge of seeing that everyone has
an opportunity for a donut whether they want it or not. When I decided to
have a party this last day of class, I looked at my grade book. Steve here
is the only student with a perfect grade. Everyone else has failed a test,
skipped class, or offered m e inferior work.

Steve told me that in football practice, when a player messes up he must do
push-ups. I told Steve that none of you could come to my party unless he
paid the price by doing your push ups. He and I made a deal for your sakes.'

'Steve, would you do ten push-ups so Susan can have a donut?' As Steve very
slowly finished his last push-up, with the understanding that he had
accomplished all that was required of him, having done 350 push-ups, his
arms buckled beneath him and he fell to the floor.

Dr. Christensen turned to the room and said. 'And so it was, that our
Savior, Jesus Christ, on the cross, pled to the Father, 'Into Thy hands I
commend My spirit.' With the understanding that He had done everything that
was required of Him, He yielded up His life. And like some of those in this
room, many of us leave the gift on the desk, uneaten.'

Two students helped Steve up off the floor and to a seat, physically
exhausted, but wearing a thin smile.

'Well done, good and faithful servant,' said the professor, adding 'Not all
sermon s are preached in words.'

Turning to his class, the professor said, 'My wish is that you might
understand and fully comprehend all the riches of grace and mercy that

have been given to you through the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. He spared not His only Begotten Son, but gave Him up for us all, for
the whole Church, now and forever. Whether or not we choose to accept His
gift to us, the price has been paid.' 'Wouldn't you be foolish and
ungrateful to leave it lying on the desk?'

The Christian’s New Year Prayer


Thou Christ of mine, Thy gracious ear low bending
Through these glad New Year days,
To catch the countless prayers to heaven ascending –
For e’en hard hearts do raise
Some secret wish for fame, or gold, or power,
Or freedom from all care –
Dear, patient Christ, who listeneth hour on hour,
Hear now a Christian’s prayer.

Let this young year, silent, walks beside me,
Be as a means of grace
To lead me up, no matter what betide me,
Nearer the Master’s face.
If it need be ere I reach the Fountain
Where living waters play,
My feet should bleed from sharp stones on the mountain,
Then cast them in my way.

If my vain soul needs blows and bitter losses
To shape it for Thy crown,

Christmas Day

Christmas Day


What sudden blaze of song
Spreads o'er th' expanse of Heaven?
In waves of light it thrills along,
Th' angelic signal given -
"Glory to God!" from yonder central fire
Flows out the echoing lay beyond the starry choir;

Like circles widening round
Upon a clear blue river,
Orb after orb, the wondrous sound
Is echoed on for ever:
"Glory to God on high, on earth be peace,
And love towards men of love--salvation and release."

Yet stay, before thou dare
To join that festal throng;
Listen and mark what gentle air
First stirred the tide of song;
'Tis not, "the Saviour born in David's home,
To Whom for power and health obedient worlds should come:" -

'Tis not, "the Christ the Lord:"
With fixed adoring look
The choir of Angels caught the word,
Nor yet their silence broke:
But when they heard the sign where Christ should be,
In sudden light they shone and heavenly harmony.

Wrapped in His swaddling bands,
And in His manger laid,
The Hope and Glory of all lands
Is come to the world's aid:
No peaceful home upon his cradle smiled,
Guests rudely went and came, where slept the royal Child.

But where Thou dwellest, Lord,
No other thought should be,
Once duly welcomed and adored,
How should I part with Thee?
Bethlehem must lose Thee soon, but Thou wilt grace
The single heart to be Thy sure abiding-place.

Thee, on the bosom laid
Of a pure virgin mind,

The pastoral spirits first

Christmas Time

Christmas Time


Its christmas time again, century by
century, years by years we all
celebrating this wonderful season.

Jesus the son of God born of the
Virgin Mary bringing us joy, peace
to be unite to the father above,
from his birth 'till his death on the cross
given us freedom. God swallow his pride
to redeem us from sins, how great love
the father in heaven to do this to all
mankind.

The children everywhere around the world
are excited expecting gifts to their love ones,
happy to receive one.

Love is the spirit of christmas that we need
to celebrate everyday. The time to spend
to our love ones, relatives, friends who are
dear to us, Its christmas.

The food in the table in all different kinds,
gifts that we give and receive, christmas tree
and lights everywhere.

The laughters, the smile, the different
expression we can see to their faces,
the beauty of happiness.

' Happiness and joy at this special season
everywhere all over the world '.

To the poor, to the middle class, to the
rich people christmas is fare to celebrate,
the beauty within this season is a great
gift to everyone of us. Embrace this
season with laughters, lets us celebrate
Christmas in our heart.

' Merry Christmas and a Happy New year
around the whole world '.

Blessed Acknowledgement


I acknowledged the Lord,
In all my ways.
Awaiting His permission each step.
His divine mercy and infinite grace,
Kept my every move in check.

I followed his advice,
Though mine seemed better.
Executing His every command.
He brought me through an empty ocean,
Removing sin’s every letter.

I obeyed Him in destitution,
Though disobedience seemed wiser.
God had the better option.
Taking the unpopular road,
I realised was a lot shorter.

Blessing after blessing,
A continual receiving,
As long as I consulted God.
He gave me the ultimate prize,
His constant presence and perfect guide!

The Annunciation Of The Blessed Virgin


Oh! Thou who deign'st to sympathise
With all our frail and fleshly ties,
Maker yet Brother dear,
Forgive the too presumptuous thought,
If, calming wayward grief, I sought
To gaze on Thee too near.

Yet sure 'twas not presumption, Lord,
'Twas Thine own comfortable word
That made the lesson known:
Of all the dearest bonds we prove,
Thou countest sons and mothers' love
Most sacred, most Thine own.

When wandering here a little span,
Thou took'st on Thee to rescue man,
Thou had'st no earthly sire:
That wedded love we prize so dear,
As if our heaven and home were here,
It lit in Thee no fire.

On no sweet sister's faithful breast
Wouldst Thou Thine aching forehead rest,
On no kind brother lean:
But who, O perfect filial heart,
E'er did like Thee a true son's part,
Endearing, firm, serene?

Thou wept'st, meek maiden, mother mild,
Thou wept'st upon thy sinless Child,
Thy very heart was riven:
And yet, what mourning matron here
Would deem thy sorrows bought too dear
By all on this side Heaven?

A Son that never did amiss,
That never shamed His Mother's kiss,
Nor crossed her fondest prayer:
E'en from the tree He deigned to bow,
For her His agonised brow,
Her, His sole earthly care.

Ave Maria! blessed Maid!
Lily of Eden's fragrant shade,
Who can express the love
That nurtured thee so pure and sweet,
Making thy heart a shelter meet
For Jesus' holy dove?

Ave Maria! Mother blest,
To whom, caressing and caressed,
Clings the eternal Child;
Favoured beyond Archangels' dream,
When first on Thee with tenderest gleam
Thy new-born Saviour smiled:-

Ave Maria! thou whose name
All but adoring love may claim,
Yet may we reach thy shrine;
For He, thy Son and Saviour, vows
To crown all lowly lofty brows
With love and joy like thine.

Blessed is the womb that bare Him--blessed
The bosom where His lips were pressed,
But rather blessed are they
Who hear His word and keep it well,
The living homes where Christ shall dwell,
And never pass away.

Blessed or Lucky

Blessed Or Lucky


Are you blessed or are you lucky?
When good things happen to you,
Does it really matter if there’s a difference?
As long as it goes through.

Have you ever seen someone do something stupid?
And say “that idiot” when they had to pay,
Only to remember when you did it,
Freely you had gotten away.

Was there ever a time you had too much to drink?
Under the influence and you couldn’t think?
Deciding to hit the road anyway,
Still can’t remember making it to the next day?

Reading the paper about these games people play,
Killing and injuring those who were in their way,
Shame, regret and sadness, hands covering the face,
Dear God, if I could only take the dead person’s place?

Yes, it could have been you,
Making the local and headline news,
With everyone saying “what a fool”,
What gives them the right to make hateful reviews?

Maybe thinking twice before you say?
What they could or shouldn’t have been doing that day,
How you’re glad you’ve never acted that way,
Instead of getting on your knees to give thanks and pray.

How often do you feel superior and overlook?
You should be the star of that negative book,
Reflecting on the bad things in your life you’ve done,
Wouldn’t doing them the right way have been just as much fun?

Now, you don’t have to look back with a tear in your eye,
Somberly saying if only I…
Do you really believe you’ve made it on your own?
Escaping time after time while being alone?

Don’t wait till you’ve come to the end of your rope,
While your soul is laid to rest,
To ask yourself this final question,
Am I lucky or am I blessed?

I open the door of this house

Blessings are due,
To those who keep faith
Whether dancing in joy...
Or sobbing in heartbreak.
You have not been forsaken.
Shake loose from those 'blues',
And choose that life you want!

Begin to flaunt it as if it's clear...
You know you are blessed,
And you feel those blessings near!

You will not recognize which ones are yours,
If you refuse to answer that knock on your door?

It is not always pain and suffering,
Wanting to gain entry!
Coming to plant seeds of sorrow.
To keep you tensed and venting!

To deliver your reward!

No one should get that bored with life.
Not to find each breath exciting!
Especially when God allowed and gave it!
And wants you to have it your way!
But you have to pray every day for it to happen.

Our Blessed Hope

Our Blessed Hope


Perhaps we don't mention the Rapture, because it appears so surreal,
Or maybe it's because of other things each individual heart may feel,

For the Apostle Paul who sat with The Lord, this event was very real,
It was so much a fact that it filled him with an uncompromising zeal.

The deceived believe the Rapture is past, or it won't happen at all,
This deception is from the very one who was present at Adam's Fall.

Although this is indeed a future event in the Bible that's non-dated,
It will surly happen my friend, just as the Apostle Paul has stated.

For Eternity, The Lord is someone, of whom you should be acquainted,
By refusing His Love, by His command you will be Eternally alienated.

For Jesus Christ is coming again and in this you can be very sure,
And after we meet Him in the air, we will be with Him for evermore.

For The Lord Himself will descend with a command that's very loud,
Those asleep in Christ will rise and we will meet them in the clouds.

For we will not suffer wrath when we receive Salvation from The Lord,
For unbelievers after His Church is gone there's a lot more in store.

As the world is morally falling we are not to be filled with despair,
Instead Paul encourages Believers to prepare to meet Him in the air.

So as Believers wait for Eternal Peace, Our Blessed Hope my friend,
Many will say peace and safety with sudden destruction as their end.

Blessed By The Word

Blessed By The Word


God blesses men with His Word, when The Living Truth is heard,
The hearts of eager men are spurred, at the reading of His Word.
Throughout His Word there is proof, of the Power of God’s Truth,
Even men who disdain The Truth, have seen His hand of reproof.

The Living Word is sharper than, a two-edged sword dear friend,
It changes the inner heart of men, leading many to a Godly end.
The Word of God can surely win, any heart that’s opposed in sin,
And The Word will change within, as you begin to walk with Him.

Friend no matter how you start, The Lord can change any heart,
Once you let Him in your heart, The Word of God will not depart.
The Word of God my dear friend, unlike the world will never end,
And all of eternity we will spend, with The Living Word my friend.

The Word of God changes your life, as you live for Jesus Christ,
Who gave Himself as a sacrifice, so men could have Eternal Life.
Christ is The Word my friend, although many didn’t comprehend,
When He came to dwell with men, coming down to be our friend.

You this day can have New Life, through The Lord Jesus Christ,
Who with His blood paid the price, as God’s redeeming sacrifice.
God will bless you for Eternity, believe in Christ and you will see,
When in The Word you believe, Eternal Life you will then receive.

The Blessed


Blessed are they that mourn
Is what our Lord Jesus said
And He promised we'd be comforted
As we sorrow for our dead

Time may seem like eternity
While we suffer in our grief
But our sorrow will be shortened
If in God we have belief

But first God will allow us
To experience the grief and pain
Of not being with the one we loved
Till He joins us once again

But God our Holy Father
There, to ease his children's pain
Says, we only need to come to HIm
In prayer, then peace we'll feel again

This does not mean, we'll forget
Our loved one who has gone
It means the sadness in our hearts
Won't be there for so long

I

This is the month, and this the happy morn,
Wherein the Son of Heaven’s eternal King,
Of wedded maid and Virgin Mother born,
Our great redemption from above did bring;
For so the holy sages once did sing,
That he our deadly forfeit should release,
And with his Father work us a perpetual peace.

II

That glorious Form, that Light unsufferable,
And that far-beaming blaze of majesty,
Wherewith he wont at Heaven’s high council-table
To sit the midst of Trinal Unity,
He laid aside, and, here with us to be,
Forsook the Courts of everlasting Day,
And chose with us a darksome house of mortal clay.

III

Say, Heavenly Muse, shall not thy sacred vein
Afford a present to the Infant God?
Hast thou no verse, no hymn, or solemn strain,
To welcome him to this his new abode,
Now while the heaven, by the Sun’s team untrod,
Hath took no print of the approaching light,
And all the spangled host keep watch in squadrons bright?

IV

See how from far upon the Eastern road
The star-led Wisards haste with odours sweet!
Oh! run; prevent them with thy humble ode,
And lay it lowly at his blessèd feet;
Have thou the honour first thy Lord to greet,
And join thy voice unto the Angel Quire,
From out his secret altar touched with hallowed fire.

The Hymn
I

It was the winter wild,
While the heaven-born child
All meanly wrapt in the rude manger lies;
Nature, in awe to him,
Had doffed her gaudy trim,
With her great Master so to sympathize:
It was no season then for her
To wanton with the Sun, her lusty Paramour.

Only with speeches fair
She woos the gentle air
To hide her guilty front with innocent snow,
And on her naked shame,
Pollute with sinful blame,
The saintly veil of maiden white to throw;
Confounded, that her Maker’s eyes
Should look so near upon her foul deformities.

But he, her fears to cease,
Sent down the meek-eyed Peace:
She, crowned with olive green, came softly sliding

His ready Harbinger,
With turtle wing the amorous clouds dividing;
And, waving wide her myrtle wand,

No war, or battail’s sound,
Was heard the world around;
The idle spear and shield were high uphung;
The hookèd chariot stood,
Unstained with hostile blood;
The trumpet spake not to the armèd throng;
And Kings sat still with awful eye,
As if they surely knew their sovran Lord was by.

V

But peaceful was the night
Wherein the Prince of Light
His reign of peace upon the earth began.
The winds, with wonder whist,
Smoothly the waters kissed,
Whispering new joys to the mild Ocean,
Who now hath quite forgot to rave,
While birds of calm sit brooding on the charmed wave.

VI

The stars, with deep amaze,
Stand fixed in steadfast gaze,
Bending one way their precious influence,
And will not take their flight,
For all the morning light,
Or Lucifer that often warned them thence;
But in their glimmering orbs did glow,
Until their Lord himself bespake, and bid them go.

VII

And, though the shady gloom
Had given day her room,
The Sun himself withheld his wonted speed,
And hid his head of shame,
As his inferior flame
The new-enlightened world no more should need:
He saw a greater Sun appear
Than his bright Throne or burning axletree could bear.

VIII

The Shepherds on the lawn,
Or ere the point of dawn,
Sat simply chatting in a rustic row;
Full little thought they than
That the mighty Pan
Was kindly come to live with them below:
Perhaps their loves, or else their sheep,
Was all that did their silly thoughts so busy keep.

IX

When such music sweet
Their hearts and ears did greet
As never was by mortal finger strook,
Divinely-warbled voice
Answering the stringèd noise,
As all their souls in blissful rapture took:
The air, such pleasure loth to lose,
With thousand echoes still prolongs each heavenly close.

X

Nature, that heard such sound
Beneath the hollow round
Of Cynthia’s seat the airy Region thrilling,
Now was almost won
To think her part was done,
And that her reign had here its last fulfilling:
She knew such harmony alone
Could hold all Heaven and Earth in happier union.

XI

At last surrounds their sight
A globe of circular light,
That with long beams the shamefaced Night arrayed;
The helmèd Cherubim
And sworded Seraphim
Are seen in glittering ranks with wings displayed,
Harping in loud and solemn quire,
With unexpressive notes, to Heaven’s newborn Heir.

XII

Such music (as ’tis said)
Before was never made,
But when of old the Sons of Morning sung,
While the Creator great
His constellations set,
And the well-balanced World on hinges hung,
And cast the dark foundations deep,
And bid the weltering waves their oozy channel keep.

XIII

Ring out, ye crystal spheres!
Once bless our human ears,
If ye have power to touch our senses so;
And let your silver chime
Move in melodious time;
And let the bass of heaven’s deep organ blow;
And with your ninefold harmony
Make up full consort of the angelic symphony.

XIV

For, if such holy song
Enwrap our fancy long,
Time will run back and fetch the Age of Gold;
And speckled Vanity
Will sicken soon and die,
And leprous Sin will melt from earthly mould;
And Hell itself will pass away,
And leave her dolorous mansions of the peering day.

XV

Yes, Truth and Justice then
Will down return to men,
The enamelled arras of the rainbow wearing;
And Mercy set between,
Throned in celestial sheen,
With radiant feet the tissued clouds down steering;
And Heaven, as at some festival,
Will open wide the gates of her high palace-hall.

XVI

But wisest Fate says No,
This must not yet be so;
The Babe lies yet in smiling infancy
That on the bitter cross
Must redeem our loss,
So both himself and us to glorify:
Yet first, to those chained in sleep,
The wakeful trump of doom must thunder through the deep,

XVII

With such a horrid clang
As on Mount Sinai rang,
While the red fire and smouldering clouds outbrake:
The aged Earth, aghast
With terror of that blast,
Shall from the surface to the centre shake,
When, at the world’s last sessiön,
The dreadful Judge in middle air shall spread his throne.

XVIII

And then at last our bliss
Full and perfect is,
But now begins; for from this happy day
The Old Dragon under ground,
In straiter limits bound,
Not half so far casts his usurpèd sway,
And, wroth to see his Kingdom fail,
Swindges the scaly horror of his folded tail.

XIX

The Oracles are dumb;
No voice or hideous hum
Runs through the archèd roof in words deceiving.
Apollo from his shrine
Can no more divine,
Will hollow shriek the steep of Delphos leaving.
No nightly trance, or breathèd spell,
Inspires the pale-eyed Priest from the prophetic cell.

XX

The lonely mountains o’er,
And the resounding shore,
A voice of weeping heard and loud lament;
Edgèd with poplar pale,
From haunted spring, and dale
The parting Genius is with sighing sent;
With flower-inwoven tresses torn
The Nymphs in twilight shade of tangled thickets mourn.

XXI

In consecrated earth,
And on the holy hearth,
The Lars and Lemures moan with midnight plaint;
In urns, and altars round,
A drear and dying sound
Affrights the Flamens at their service quaint;
And the chill marble seems to sweat,
While each peculiar power forgoes his wonted seat.

Peor and Baälim
Forsake their temples dim,
With that twice-battered god of Palestine;
And moonèd Ashtaroth,
Heaven’s Queen and Mother both,
Now sits not girt with tapers’ holy shine:
The Libyc Hammon shrinks his horn;

And sullen Moloch, fled,
Hath left in shadows dread
His burning idol all of blackest hue;
In vain with cymbals’ ring
They call the grisly king,

The brutish gods of Nile as fast,
Isis, and Orus, and the dog Anubis, haste.

Nor is Osiris seen
In Memphian grove or green,
Trampling the unshowered grass with lowings loud;

He feels from Juda’s land
The dreaded Infant’s hand;

Jesus was the greatest man who ever lived.
He loved to show kindness and he loved to forgive.
He resurrected the dead and made the blind see.
A couple of men wanted to stone a woman who committed adultery.
Jesus said that the person who had never sinned could throw the first stone.
When Jesus looked up, he saw that the men had left him and the woman alone.
Jesus loves us, that's why he died for our sins.
When the second coming arrives, he'll return to Earth again.

Saw another mighty angel come down,

How close is Heaven you might ask?
Explaining it is not an easy task.
I dare say mine is simply speculation
But makes sense to me in retrospection.

As heaven is at hand so also the devil may be,
Let's ardently pray for God's Divine Mercy.

I believe the Kingdom of God is at hand;
The thought of it is as God has planned.
I believe the Kingdom of God is within me
For this realization, Lord, I truly thank Thee.

As heaven is at hand so also the devil may be,
Let's ardently pray for God's Divine Mercy.

A thin invisible veil divides heaven and earth
It begins at conception through the day of birth,
And when death upon us make its' visitation
Will we respond to God's or Satan's invitation?

The blessings of Heaven and the curses of hell
Are very real I am compelled to tell
Let's not our precious souls sell
To brief moments of pleasure
At the sacrifice of Heavenly treasure.

If, then, a thin veil separates us from Glory,
How well will we write our own life's story?

Although I cannot see you, I feel your presence here
The comforting feeling that surrounds me, assures me you are near
You’ve come to take my hand, and release me from this pain
My body is giving up, no longer able to take the strain

For years I fought with dignity, I swore I’d prove them wrong
It was only your love and strength, which kept me going strong
Your no longer by my side, it was me, who begged you not to stay
I knew you could not handle this, this day when I went away

I’ll take with me the memories, and the love that we two shared
I’ll forever remember you smiling face, and your blue eyes which showed you cared
I’ll remember your ever gentle touch, and the sweet smell of your perfume
I’ll take every memory made with you, as I leave this earthbound tomb

I’ll take my place among the stars, and join the countless others
Those of us who are looking down, watching over our sisters and brothers
So please don’t shed a tear, when you find out that I’ve passed
I’m just another angel, in the army that Gods amassed

I know you want to be here, standing right by my side
But I don’t want your last memories of me, to be of the day I died

The Window of Heaven


The window of Heaven is open,
The angels can fly to and fro,
And those that I love can all gather,
And look down at Christmas below.

For Christmas is special in Heaven,
The love is so easy to see,
And down from the window at Christmas,
God sends a present to me.

'I will forever be with you,
Your side, I shall always be near,
And though you may not always see me,
In your heart I will always be there.

I will warm up your soul during Christmas,

I sometimes wonder if we really understand what its all about.
We are so busy talking about Santa Claus,
and rushing to the shopping malls,

That we never stop and think
that its Jesus' Birthday,
We are to Celebrate.
This Christmas, when we open our gaily wrapped Christmas Gifts,
with their Ribbons Bows, and Tinsel,
Let us Remember its Jesus' Birthday.
That's why it's Christmas.
Like the wise men with their Gifts, of Frankincense, and Myrrh.
Let us give the wonderful gift of peace and love.
For Jesus, was born as the Saviour, of the world.
When we sit down to our Christmas Dinner.
Let us bow our heads, and pray.

I've been put on earth in this life to play upon God's mortal infested playground...
To go full steam forward and conquer all obsticles of sin that were placed at my feetal mound.

A place by God and Jesus Christ without pain from this empty unjacketed life and soon to be free to flee and hide.

When miracles, God does 'fore every eye,
And improves every state of gloom, despair;
To pray to God and thank Him, man asks why?
Until the moment, he hungers for air.

But God allows problems to seize a mind;
To warn a man, he'as gone astray from Him;
Reminding him, His commandments to bind
And make his soul better and look more trim.

All things will happen as per divine word,
And without God, no man achieves a thing;
We are his flock; He is our Good Shepherd;
He cares for us, expecting not a thing.
Why then do we forget the Mighty God,
And knowing fully well, we are just clod!

If Jesus Was Born Today


If Jesus was born today
it would be in a downtown motel
marked by a helicopter's flashing bulb.
A traffic warden, working late,
would be the first upon the scene.
Later, at the expense of a TV network,
an eminent sociologist,
the host of a chat show
and a controversial author
would arrive with their good wishes
-the whole occasion to be filmed as part of the
'Is This The Son Of God?' one hour special.
Childhood would be a blur of photographs and speculation
dwindling by his late teens into
'Where Is He Now?' features in Sunday magazines.

If Jesus was thirty today
they wouldn't really care about the public ministry,
they'd be too busy investigating His finances
and trying to prove He had Church or Mafia connections.
The miracles would be explained by
an eminent and controversial magician,
His claims to be God's Son recognised as
excellent examples of Spoken English
and immediately incorporated into
the O-Level syllabus,
His sinless perfection considered by moral philosophers
as, OK, but a bit repressive.

If Jesus was thirty-one today
He'd be the fly in everyone's ointment-
the sort of controversial person who
stands no chance of eminence.
Communists would expel Him, capitalists
would exploit Him or have Him
smeared by people who know a thing or two about God.
Doctors would accuse Him of quackery,
soldiers would accuse Him of cowardice,
theologians would take Him aside and try
to persuade Him of His non-existence.

If Jesus was thirty-two today we'd have to
end it all. Heretic, fundamentalist, literalist,
puritan, pacifist, non-conformist, we'd take Him
away and quietly end the argument.
But the argument would rumble in the ground
at the end of three days and would break out
and walk around as though death was some bug,
saying 'I am the resurrection and the life...
No man cometh to the Father but by me'.
While the magicians researched new explanations
and the semanticists wondered exactly what
He meant by 'I' and 'No man' there would be those
who stand around amused, asking for something
called proof.

'MY JESUS AND ME'


I spent time with Jesus today
I spoke his name and tried
His commands to obey

How sweet to visit him during
The daylight hours, for comfort I find
As I share with him the things upon my mind

Today wasn’t perfect, I suppose
Neither will tomorrow be
But time is so sweetly spent
When we are alone, my Jesus and me

Sorrows often come in one door
Or another in this life
But when we spend time alone
With God, we find needed strength,
And comfort, and experience better ways
To cope with pain and strife

I don’t have to worry about
What tomorrow might bring
For with Jesus beside me
Together we can handle anything

If you don’t have time to spend
With Jesus in prayer each day
I recommend you find some time for him
For he alone is worthy of all praise and
He is wonderful and true, his mercy endureth forever
His arms are outstretched also for you

MY BELIEFS:
I believe-
that we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends change.

that you can do something in an instant

that it's taking me a long time

with loving words. It may be the last

that we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.

that regardless of how hot and
steamy a relationship is at first,
the passion fades and there had
better be something else to take its place.

your grief.

that our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are,

my life is the life of the reaper and the sower;

around me surges a miracle of unceasing

She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
on a snow white Christmas eve.
Going home to see her momma and her daddy
with the baby in the back seat.
Fifty miles to go,
and she was running low on faith and gasoline.
It'd been a long, hard year.

She had a lot on her mind
and she didn't pay attention
She was going way too fast.
and before she knew it,
she was spinning on a thin, black sheet of glass.
She saw both their lives
flash before her eyes,
she didn't even have time to cry
She was so scared.
She threw her hands up in the air.

Jesus take the wheel,

cause I can't do this on my own.

It was still getting colder
when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop.

Although I cannot see you, I feel your presence here
The comforting feeling that surrounds me, assures me you are near
You’ve come to take my hand, and release me from this pain
My body is giving up, no longer able to take the strain

For years I fought with dignity, I swore I’d prove them wrong
It was only your love and strength, which kept me going strong
Your no longer by my side, it was me, who begged you not to stay
I knew you could not handle this, this day when I went away

I’ll take with me the memories, and the love that we two shared
I’ll forever remember you smiling face, and your blue eyes which showed you cared
I’ll remember your ever gentle touch, and the sweet smell of your perfume
I’ll take every memory made with you, as I leave this earthbound tomb

Stewards entrusted with mysterious of God,
What is excepted of stewards? Each one,

Should be found worthy of his trust, not that,
It makes the slightest difference to us,
As for us, it makes the slightest difference
Whether human authority approve,

Lord alone our judge, must be no passing,
Premature judgement, leave that for Lord's coming,
He will light up all hidden in the dark,
Reveal secret intentions of men's hearts,

Then the time for each to have whatever,
Praise, we deserve from God, is it that we,
Have everything we want-that we are rich,
Already in possession of our kingdom?

God's Will And Plan

From out of the thought the universe came as an inclusive one
Life, lights and minds, to be shared by those who live under a sun.

The thought was formed with order and change according to a plan
Earth had various forms of life, along with the minds of a woman, and a man.

Life was to be a shared equal responsibility of both women and men
Children to be protected, provided for; and prepared; for their time of when.

The planet was given all that was necessary for life to survive
Mother Nature to do what was necessary, for humanity to stay alive.

Each child was to be protected until their minds energy was unique and one
Children are different yet the same, as each has a seed, 'waiting fo become'..

The cells of each body their destination accomplished by a key
The sense's to feed the mind and also its long and short-term memory.

Every cell of energy, matter and chemicals into a shape or a form
The umbilical chord is cut and another human is about to be born.

Fertilized egg into an embryo ithen a fetus and then a human form
A trimester of three to total nine, as the brain connects to process and inform..

Another seed to become a being worthy of the gift of earthly life and time
A human being of individual thought and value, as the continuity of our line.

Every child is a child of God on loan to us to protect, nurture and prepare
To raise each with love and be instilled, with the meaning of 'fair'.

Soon we will be gone and it will be their turn to be called grand
Humanity is an equally shared experience; between both woman and also man.
