God of mercy , God of Grace

God of Mercy, God of Grace
God of mercy, God of grace, Show the brightness of Thy face:
Shine upon us, Saviour, shine,
Fill Thy church with light Divine;
And Thy saving health extend, Unto earth's remotest end.
Let Thy people praise Thee,
Lord; Be by all that live adored;
Let the nations shout and sing,
Glory to their Saviour King;
At Thy feet their tributes pay,
And Thy holy will obey.Let the people praise Thee,
Lord; Earth shall then her fruits afford;
God to man His blessing give, Man to God devoted live;
All below, and all above,
One in joy, and light, and love.

Disappointments

A wake-up call

Subject: Disappointments

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As graduation day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible? and stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.

When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse,

Matt 7:11, "And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected? Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...

IF YOUR GIFT IS NOT PACKED THE WAY YOU WANT IT, IT'S BECAUSE IT IS BETTER PACKED THAT WAY! ALWAYS APPRECIATE LITTLE THINGS; THEY USUALLY LEAD YOU TO ATTACHMENTS!

Lessons for Life

Teach love to those who hate, and let that love embrace you as you go out into the world. May the teachings of those you admire become part of you, so that you may call upon them. Remember, those whose lives you have touched and whose have touched yours are always a part of you, even if the encounters were less than you would have wished. It is the content of the encounter that is more important than the form.
Hope that while you are dreaming, I, please, want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers and I am thinking of you and hope you have a great God Blessed .

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
"...dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves..." 2 Corinthians 7:1
You were created to know three worlds the spiritual, psychological, and material worlds. These can be considered the world above us, the world within us, and the world around us. These worlds are related to the three parts of our human nature body soul and spirit. When you are rightly related to the material world with your body, you are healthy. When you are rightly related to the psychological world with your soul, you are happy. And when you are rightly related to the spiritual world in your spirit, you are holy. God's aim is that ultimately you are to experience all three realities: health, happiness, and holiness. Take a snapshot inventory of your life. Where do you need to start making changes to live a healthier lifestyle? What is your emotional barometer telling you about how you see others and yourself? Do you know of any area in your life where you are not living in obedience to the call of holy living?

Are You A Good Person ?

A disbelief in God does not result in a belief in nothing; disbelief in God usually results in a belief in anything. Interesting thought, huh!
Are you a good person ?
Mark 10:18-21 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honor thy father and mother. And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

I can't begin to tell you. Have you heard ones say?, "Well -- I don't need that, I'm a good person." No, we're not. We have a tendency to compare ourselves with our neighbor, thinking how nice or how giving we are compared to him or her. But none of us are good by God's standards. Our good works are like filthy rags, according to Isaiah. This guy thought he was a great guy. "Yeah Jesus, really, I've done all this stuff you say, even from my youth!" One thing he lacked, though. He needed to take up his cross and follow Him.
We can do lot's of good things. But have we truly taken up our taken up our cross today and followed Him today? It's time. Today is the day to take up our cross! Today is the day to give our lives for God's purposes and follow Him! There's so much work to be done!
A bend in the road is not the end of the road, unless you fail to make the turn."

He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it

DEVOTIONS:

"...He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:

A story is told of a young man that overheard his father and a friend of the family talking. The friend said, "What's he going to do when he gets out of high school?" His dad replied, "Well, he wants to go off to college and study to be a preacher." That man just laughed and said, "He won't make it. He'll never stick it out. He'll quit." That's what the world says about Christians, "They won't stick it out. They won't make it." You see, the devil hasn't changed his tactics. He's still mocking and throwing cold water on our walks with the Lord. Get ready. If you don't feel the flames of ridicule now, just wait.

Have you ever told someone that they wouldn't amount to anything? Has anyone ever told you that? Send those lies back to the pit of hell and rest in the promises of His Word that you are deeply loved and bought with the price of the Savior's own blood.

8:26 am

8:26 a.m.

You are in your car driving home Thoughts wander to the game you want
to see or meal you want to eat, when suddenly a sound unlike any you've ever
heard fills the air. The sound is high above you. A trumpet? A choir?
A choir of trumpets? You don't know, but you want to know. So you pull over,
get out of your car, and look up. As you do, you see you aren't the only
curious one. The roadside has become a parking lot.

Car doors are open, and people are staring at the sky. Shoppers are racing
out of the grocery store. The Little League baseball game across the street
has come to a halt. Players and parents are searching the clouds. And what
they see, and what you see, has never before been seen. As if the sky were
a curtain, the drapes of the atmosphere part. A brilliant light spills onto the earth.
There are no shadows. None.

From whence came the light begins to tumble a river of color spiking
crystals of every hue ever seen and a million more never seen. Riding
on the flow is an endless fleet of angels. They pass through the curtains one
myriad at a time, until they occupy every square inch of the sky.

North

South.

East.

West.

Thousands of silvery wings rise and fall in unison, and over the sound
of the trumpets, you can hear the cherubim and seraphim chanting, Holy,
Holy, Holy. The final flank of angels is followed by twenty-four
silver- bearded elders and a multitude of souls who join the angels in worship.
Presently the movement stops and the trumpets are silent, leaving only
the triumphant triplet: Holy, holy, holy. Between each word is a pause.
With each word, a profound reverence. You hear your voice join in the
chorus. You don't know why you say the words, but you know you must.

Suddenly, the heavens are quiet. All is quiet. The angels turn, you turn,
the entire world turns and there He is. Jesus. Through waves of light
you see the silhouetted figure of Christ the King. He is atop a great stallion,
and the stallion is atop a billowing cloud.

He opens his mouth, and you are surrounded by his declaration: I am the Alpha
and the Omega. The angels bow their heads. The elders remove their crowns
And before you is a Figure so consuming that you know, instantly you
know: Nothing else matters. Forget stock markets and school reports.
Sales meetings and football games. Nothing is newsworthy..all that mattered,
matters no more....for Christ has come.

And, please put the exact time you read this in the subject line
before sending. It is mystical--honest This morning when the Lord opened
a window to Heaven, he saw me, and he asked:

My child, what is your greatest wish for today?

I responded:
"Lord please; take care of the person who is reading this message,
their family and their special friends. They deserve it and I love them
very much The love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginnings
but not its end.

This message works on the day you receive it.
To some it may sound dumb,
Let us see if it is true.

ANGELS EXIST, but sometimes, since they don't all have wings we call
them FRIENDS, SUCH AS YOU.
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.

God,s with you : Are you with God ?

God’s With You; Are You With God?
God made man from dust of earth; To dust, we’ll surely return; God made man with soul and so, Man seeks God and divine mirth! No servant becomes Master; No creature, Creator; Yet, man was made in God’s image; God’s love, no one can gauge.Man is just a speck of dust And lives in sin, pride and lust; Yet, God loves man so deeply, And forgives him so neatly.Man lives on earth by grace of God; His days are pre-destined by Lord; All things just happen by God’s nod; But our sins could get His rod! Man strives to seek the unseen God; But God is always within him; Estranged from God is man in sin, And life on earth turns rather grim! Why waste your precious time in sin? Why gather wealth meant for the bin; Why spoil your health with drugs and gin? Is your soul befitting Heaven? Confess your sins to God, man.Repent; increase your life-span; Do more good and tilt the pan in your favor, when you can.God’s with you.
Are you with God?
Fondly dedicated to my sons, David and Scott Bagwell
