Everybody Everywhere needs Somebody Sometime

Everybody Everywhere Needs Somebody Sometime
Everybody ,everywhere ,no matter what the station ,
Has moments of deep loneliness and quiet desperation ,
For this lost and lonely feeling is inherent in mankind-
It is just the spirit speaking as God tries again to find
An opening in the worldly wall man build s against God’s touch ,
For he feels so self-sufficient that he does not need God much ,
So he vainly goes on struggling to find some explaination
For these disturbing , lonely moods of inner isolation .
But the answer keeps eluding him for in his selfish , finite mind
He does not even recognize that he cannot ever find
The reason for life’s emptiness unless he learns to share
The problems and the burdens that surround him everywhere .
But when his eyes are opened and he looks with love on others
He begins to see not strangers but understanding brothers .
So open up your hardened hearts and let God enter in-
He only wants to help you a new life to begin
And every day’s a good day to lose yourself in others
And anytime a good time to see mankind as brothers ,
And this can only happen when you realize it’s true
That everyone needs someone and that someone is you !!!

Look on the Sunny Side

There always two sides ,
the good and the bad ,
The dark and the light ,
the sad and the glad,
But in looking back over
of good and the bad
We’re aware of the number
of the good things we had .
And in counting our blessings
we find when we’re through
We’ve no reason at all
to complain or be blue ,
So thank God for good things
He already done ,
And be grateful to Him
for the battles you’ve won ,
And know that the same God
who help you before
Is ready and willing
to help you once more .
Then with in your heart
reach out for God’s hand
And accept what He sends
though you can’t understand ,
For our Father in haven
always know what is best,
And if you trust in His wisdom
your life will be blessed ,
For always remenber
that whatever betide you
You are never alone
for God is beside you.
Jan Bagwell

If you keep my commandments ,
you will abide in my love, just as
I have kept my Father’s commandment
and abide in his love . These things I have
spoken to you ,that my joy be in you ,and
that your joy may be full .
John 15 :10,11

Strong Faith

Strong Faith.
A small congregation in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains built
a new sanctuary on a piece of land willed to them by church member.
Ten days before the new church was to open, the local building inspector
informed the pastor that the parking lot was inadequate for the size of
the building Until the church doubled the size of the parking lot, they
would not be able to use the new sanctuary.

Unfortunately, the church with its undersized lot had used every inch of
their land except for the mountain against which it had been built. In
order to build more parking spaces, they would have to move the mountain
out of the back yard. Undaunted, the pastor announced the next Sunday
morning that he would meet that e vening with all members who had
"mountain moving faith."
They would hold a prayer session asking God to remove the mountain from
the back yard and to somehow provide enough money to have it paved and
painted before the scheduled opening dedication service the following
week.

At the appointed time, 24 of the congregation's 300 members assembled
for prayer. They prayed for nearly three hours. At ten o clock the
pastor
said the final "Amen". "We'll open next Sunday as scheduled "
he assured everyone. "God has never let us down before, and I believe
He will be faithful this time too."

The next morning as he was working in his study there came a loud knock
at his door. When he called "come in", a rough looking construction
foreman appeared, removing his hard hat as he entered.
"Excuse me, Reverend. I'm from Acme Construction Company over in the
next county. We're building a huge shopping mall. We need some fill
dirt.
Would you be willing to sell us a chunk of that mountain behind the
church?

We'll pay you for the dirt we remove and pave all the exposed area free
of charge, if we can have it right away. We can't do anything else until
we get the dirt in and allow it to settle properly."
The little church was dedicated the next Sunday as originally planned
and there were far more members with "mountain moving faith" on opening
Sunday than there had been the previous week!

Would you have shown up for that prayer meeting?
Some people say faith comes from miracles.
But others know:
MIRACLES COME FROM FAITH

The Blood

THE BLOOD

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart.

She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution.

But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church.

She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.

It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son.

The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.

This is when the problems began.

You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son.

The church began to argue and fight about the matter.

So they decided to have a meeting.

As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand.

The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past.

As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak.

He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this:

"My fiancée’s past is not what is on trial here.

What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin.

Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?"

The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters.

Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely.

If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.

What can wash away my sins?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!!

"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

Psalm 55:23

This prayer is powerful and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive.

There is no cost but a lot of rewards, let's continue to pray for one another.

Here is the prayer:

"Father, I ask you to bless my friends, relatives and email buddies reading this right now.

Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask you to minister to their spirit at this very moment.

Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self doubt, release a renewed confidence through your grace.

In Jesus' precious name.

Amen

Around The Corner

Around The Corner

Around the corner I had a friend ,
In this great city , that has no end ,
Yet days go by and weeks rush on
And before I know it , a year has gone ,
And I never see my friend’s face ,
For life is a swift and terrible race ,
He knows I like him just as well
As in the days when I rang his bell ,
And he rang mine , we were younger then
And now we are busy , tired men ,
Tired of playing the foolish game .
Tired of trying to make a name .
“Tomorrow ,”I say, “I‘ll call Larry
Just to show him that I think of him .”
But tomorrow comes ,and tomorrow goes ,
And the distance between us grows and grows ,
Around the corner – yet miles away
“Here‘s a telegram ,sir .”Larry died today .
And that’s what we get and deserve in the end .
Around the corner , a vanished friend .
