Your House of Happiness

Your House of Happiness

Take what God gives , O friend of mine
And build your house of happiness .
Perchance some have been given more ,
But many have been given less.
The treasure lying at your feet ,
Whose value you but faintly guess ,
Another builder looking on ,
Would barter heaven to possess .
Have you found work that you can do?
Is there a heart that loves you best ?
Is there a spot somewhere called home ,
Where spent and worn your soul can rest ?

A friend , a tree , a book ,a song ,
A dog , which loves your hand’s caress ,
A story of health to meet life’s needs ,
Oh , build your house of happiness .
Trust not tomorrow’s dawn to bring
The dreamed-of joy which we wait ,
We have enough of pleasant things
To house our souls in goodly state ,
Tomorrow , time’s relentless stream
May bear what now we have away ,
Take what God gives , O friend ,
And build your house of happiness today .

The Heavens Declare the Glory Of God !!

The Heavens Declare the Glory Of God “
You ask me how I know it’s true
That there is a living God –
A God who rules the universe ,
The sky …the …the sea…the sod;
A God who hold all the creatures
In the hollow of His hand;
A God who put Infinity
In one ting grain of sand ;
A God who made the seasons-
Winter , Summer , Fall and Spring ,
And put His flawless rhythm
Into each created thing ;
A God who hangs the sun out
Slowly with the break of day ,
And gently takes the stars in
And puts the night away ;
A God whose mighty handiwork
Defies the skill of man ,
For no architect can alter
God’s Perfect Master Plan –
What better answers are there
To prove His Holy Being
Than the wonders all around us
That are ours just for the seeing .

Flowers Leave their Fragrance on the Hand that bestows them

Flowers Leave their Fragrance on the Hand that bestows them

This old proverb ,
if practiced each day ,
Would change the whole world
In a wonderful way-
Its truth is so simple ,
It’s so easy to do ,
And it works every time
And successfully ,too
For you can’t do a kindness
Without a reward ,
Not in silver nor gold
But in joy from the Lord-
You can’t light a candle
To show others the way
With out feeling the warmth
Of that bright little ray –
And you can’t pluck a rose ,
All fragrant with dew ,
Without part of its fragrance
Remaining with you .
And whose hands bestow
More fragrant bouquets
Than Mother who daily
speaks kind words of praise ,
A mother whose courage
And comfort and cheer
Lights bright little candles
In hearts through the year-
No wonder the hands
Of an unselfish mother
Are symbols of sweetness
Unlike any other .

Happy the man that finds the grace

Happy the man that finds the grace,
The blessing of God's chosen race,
The wisdom coming from above,
The faith that sweetly works by love.

Happy beyond description he
Who knows, The Saviour died for me,
The gift unspeakable obtains,
And heavenly understanding gains.

Wisdom divine! Who tells the price
Of wisdom's costly merchandise
Wisdom to silver we prefer,
And gold is dross compared to her.

Her hands are filled with length of days,
True riches, and immortal praise,
Riches of Christ, on all bestowed,
And honour that descends from God.

To purest joys she all invites,
Chaste, holy, spiritual delights;
Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
And all her flowery paths are peace.

Happy the man who wisdom gains,
Thrice happy who his guest retains!
He owns, and shall for ever own,
Wisdom, and Christ, and heaven are one.

I will cry to God

I will cry out to God

I WILL CRY OUT TO GOD MOST HIGH, TO GOD WHO PERFORMS ALL THINGS FOR ME. HE SHALL SEND FROM HEAVEN AND SAVE ME.
( PSALM 57:2-3 *NKJV ) Now, the short story..........................
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions. However one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened -everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me?" he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.You know.....It's easy to get discouraged sometimes when things appear to be going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God! For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has a positive answer for it.
