The Holy Spirit Of God

He came to me as gentle as a dove 
satisfying me with His warmth and love 
then opened my eyes and helped me to see 
the wonderful love that Jesus had for me. 

He breathed upon me His life giving breath 
taking away from me my fear of death 
then made the Word of God alive in me 
guiding and controlling my destiny. 

He blew around me like a mighty wind 
staying beside me as my constant friend 
then descended on me in tongues of fire 
purifying and filling me with desire. 

He came and filled me with all His fullness 
purifying me with life and wholeness. 
Dear Holy Spirit of my God Most High 
thank you for not passing this sinner by.

The Flower of Grace

Grace is a flower that I love to smell,
Because of its power I am not in hell,
Upon its rich fragrance I love to dwell,
I cannot get too much of grace. 

I hold this dear flower, its beauty so great,
It has a sweet savor that does not abate, 
Its manifold colors are rich to this date, 
I love to learn more about grace. 

The pedals are lovely, sparkling with dew,
All shades of glory, and more than a few, 
So many blessings to my soul accrue, 
Just fixing my heart upon grace. 

Grace in the morning, in the afternoon, 
It is never too late, it is never too soon, 
To take up the flower and enjoy its boon, 
And have my heart blessed by this grace. 

I hold to it dearly, yes my grip is tight, 
I pull it closely with never a fright, 
No thorns to prick me my blessings to blight, 
I never shall grow tired of grace. 

So come to the garden (the Bible) with speed, 
You will find grace flowers and plenty of seed, 
They grow all around you when Scripture you read, 
You too can be filled by His grace.

Reward Of Faith

The thief on the cross said think of me Lord

His faith in Jesus sealed the accord
A life of disgrace but his soul set free
His reward of faith heaven to see

On water with Jesus Peter walked to
The wind and rain made his faith undo
Sank to the bottom but pulled up again
Must keep the faith to the very end

Don't ever give up let your faith stay good
Don't doubt the power of faith that's stood
When waters roll over life goes under
Your faith will save you that's the wonder
