For a Peaceful World
If we would keep our freedom and survive,
We must hold high the torch of truth .
Integrity must govern all the acts
Of every man , Right can , and must prevail !
Hold fast your faith in God’s great power !
His power will never fail !
No Atom bomb , or human tools ,
Can blot out that which God creates ,
And only as men obey God’s laws ,
Can peace be found .Only so
Can all mankind survive .

Dishes
Dishes
They had a set of dishes
Given them when they wed ,
With luck and happiness and wishes
By loved ones ,who to them said
They wished they’d always be happy
As the moment when,”I will,”
Was said with so much rapture
That their hearts were standing still.
The dishes tell a lovely story
Of the lives they were to live _
How they shone in all their glory
When the very frist forgive
Was whispered, and I love you truly ,
Which made things right again ,
For it was just as surely said ,
As sun comes after rain
Time as long since passed ,
Since they were frist together ,
When he’d sit and gase and ask her
If she loved him as no other –
And she was just content
With the answer in her heart ,
For she knew that it was meant
That they should never part ..
Although their lives had many scars
Like cracks upon the china ,
Their love outshone the mars ,
For it was only minor ,
If the one who’d done the wrong
Down in his heart had sorrow ,
For they never let the sun go down
Without a ,” Bright Tomorrow ,”
She’s an old lady now ,
And he is eight-two ,
The cups and saucers wonder
What the other one will do ,
Until they both are able ,
To sit at God’s own perfect table ,
Be fed by His own hand

God's Jewels
God’s Jewels
We watch the rich and famous
Bedecked in precious jewels ,
Enjoying earthly pleasure ,
Defying moral rules .
And in our mood rules .
And in our mood of discontent
We sink into despair
And long for earthly riches
And feel cheated of our share .
But stop these idle musings ,
God has stored up for you
Treasures that are far beyond
Earth’s jewels and riches ,too,
For never , never discount
What God has promised man
If he will walk in meekness
And accept God’ flawless plain ,
For if we heed His teachings
As we journey through the years ,
We’ll find the richest jewels of all
Are crystallized from tears.

Summer Beauty
Summer Beauty
The loveliness that I behold
So far beyond compare ,
The joy I feel within my soul
Tells me my Savior’s near .
I see Him in red roses
That bloom along the vine .
I feel Him in the gentle wind
That sweeps the Summer pines .
The sky enfolds me like a glove
Of magic azure blue ,
And I’m reminded that His love
Surrounds me this way, too !
A rolling carpet of green grass
Back up this breathless view
And I know for me that Heaven
Will be in colors of this hue .
As the sun slips slowly out of sight
In its westerly direction ,
I want to whisper ,” Please don’t go ,
Don’t end this day’s perfection .”

Climb Till Your Dream Comes True
Climb Till Your Dream Comes True
Often your tasks will be many,
And more than you think you can do ,
Often the road will be rugged
And the hills insurmountable , too ,
But always remember , the hills ahead
Are never as steep as they seen ,
And with faith in your heart start upward
And climb till you reach your dream .
For nothing in life that is worthy
Is ever too hard to achieve
If you have the courage to try it
And you have the faith to believe .
For faith is a force that is greater
Than knowledge or power or skill
And many defeats turn to triumph
If you trust in God’s wisdom and will .
For faith is a mover of mountains ,
There’s nothing that God cannot do ,
So start out today with faith in your heart
And climb till your dream comes true .

Bonnie Alverson daughter ) is not responsive, she has had 2 strokes. Massive stroke in left brain, stroke in left leg and heart problems found. Surgery was done to save left foot and leg. Yesterday Lynn stated she does not want to die, she has 2 grandchildren and 2 on the way, Lynn is 46 years old. Today she is not responsive. Lift her up to God and Bonnie, her Mom, also. thank you !
