A Perfect Day

A Perfect Day
God stretches out His loving hand
His blessings to bestow ,
And guides us in our daily lives
Because He loves us so .

He fills our hearts with joy and peace
We're always in His care ,
He knows our every need and want
And answers every prayer .

He heals all pain and solves all ills
Which often comes our way ,
His grace shines down upon us all
To create a perfect day .

The Friend who just stands by

The Friend Who Just Stands By
When trouble comes your soul to try ,
You love the friend who just “stand by “
Perhaps there ‘s nothing he or she can do –
The thing is strictly up to you :
For there are troubles all your own ,
And paths the soul must thread alone.
Times when love cannot smooth the road
Nor friendship lift the heavy load ,
But just to know you have a friend
Who will” stand by “ until the end ,
Whose sympathy through all endures ,
Whose warm hand clasp is always yours-
It helps ,someway ,to pull you through ,
Although there’s nothing he or she can do.
And so with fervent heart you cry ,
“God Bless the friend who just stands by “

Greatest Story

Greatest Story
“The maker of the Universe
As man for man was made a curse ;
The claims of laws which He had made
Unto the uttermost He paid .
His holy fingers made the bough
Where grew the thorns that crowned His brow ;
The nails that pierced His hands were mined
In secret places He designed .

“He made the forest whence there sprung
The tree on which His body hung ;
He died upon a cross of wood ,
Yet made the hill on which it stood .
The sky was darkened o’er His head
By Him above the earth was spread ;
The sun which hid from Him its face
By His decree was poised in space .

“The spear which spilt His precious blood
Was tempered in the fires of God ;
The grave in which His form was laid
Was hewed in rocks His hands had made .
The throne on which He now appears
Was His from everlasting years .
But a new glory crowns His brow
And every knee to Him shall bow .”

Loving the Dark

Loving the Dark

And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. —John 3:19

The Pharisees did not doubt Jesus because they merely disagreed with Him. They doubted Jesus because they were hardened against him.

Doubt is a matter of the mind. Even Christians have moments of doubt. We don't always understand what God is doing or why He is doing it. Unbelief, in contrast, is a matter of the will. It is a choice we make.

The Pharisees were full of unbelief. They did not reject Jesus for lack of evidence or because He was not consistent with what He said. The fact is that Jesus was the perfect example. Even Pontius Pilate, who had examined countless people, said, "I find no fault in this Man" (Luke 23:4), and "I am innocent of the blood of this just Person" (Matthew 27:24). Judas Iscariot, who spent three, concentrated years with Jesus and even betrayed Him said, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood" (Matthew 27:4). So Jesus clearly was a model of everything that He said.

The Pharisees rejected Jesus because it interfered with the way they wanted to live. And that is why people reject Him today. Jesus said, "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed" (John 3:19-20).

People don't reject Jesus because they have carefully examined the evidence and have determined that it is not convincing enough. They don't reject Him because they have read through the Scriptures and have found some apparent contradiction. They don't reject Him because of the so-called hypocrisy of some in the church. They reject Him because He interferes with the way they want to live.

The Fauly Valve

The Faulty Valve

We recently called a repair company out to fix the icemaker on
our refrigerator.

He came and studied the problem and discovered that a valve was
faulty. He replaced the valve and after a short while ice was
produced. The valve was a small part on the whole refrigerator,
but this small part blocked months of ice from coming forth.

It is this same way with life.

One tiny thing in your relationship can stop cubes of joy from
being experienced.

Perhaps, it is just the unappreciation of the other person.
Many times we don't know what we have until we lose it.

One near-microscopic item in your diet such as crystals of salt
can make the difference in the blood throughout your whole body
flowing properly.

One mindset change from "I sure can't stand this job" to "I am
blessed to have a job after thousands were laid off this month"
can make eight hours a day change from drudgery to ease.

Two dollars given to a homeless person with the words
"have a special day because you are someone special," without
them asking, could change their life forever with the feeling
that somebody cares.

One small step of trying an idea that you believe could work may
make the difference in you becoming an employer instead of an
employee.

What one thing do you need to change in your life to allow the
waters of life to flow?

Go do this. Unstop the valve.
