A Mother's Prayer

A Mother's Prayer

God, please bless my children
Care for them as they grow
Fill them with your Spirit to
Teach them all you know
Lord, count each hair upon their heads
As they lay down at night
Cover them with loving wing
Until the morning light
Help me be a mother who is
Gentle and is kind
Help me give, help me love
Bring peace into my mind
Thank you for this family
I love them with all my heart
Watch over them when they are with me
Take care when we're apart
Lord don't let them stumble
Catch them if they fall
They are precious to me
They are my one and all

Life's Greatest Moment

Life’s  Greatest  moment

A life's greatest moment happens as Jesus
enters in and becomes it's centerpiece,
For then and only then will the pressures
from a life of sin begin to cease.
Deep down inside there is a sense of
freedom coming with each breath taken,
Because now God's the ruler of this life
and Satan is the one whose forsaken.

There's Light coming from this new life
as The Light of Life dwells within,
Replacing darkness that was there before,
shadowed by the ever presence of sin.
Allowing the outward appearance to bring
forth a love that flows up from the soul,
As this life moves forward in an attempt
to carry out God's plans for it's role.

Now then much wisdom will be needed, for
the truth is seen only by the wise,
Because so many times it's been hidden
behind some very clever disguise.
Then the only place where this wisdom is
found is in God's infallible word,
Here sixty six books have been written by
His writers of things seen and heard.

Indeed, this life's greatest moment came
as Jesus breathed new life in it's soul,
Yet from this point on, it will get even
better as it's entered to heaven's roll.
There to be rewarded with crowns earned
on earth as service to God was rendered,
Now the greatest eternal moment comes as
the gates of heaven are entered.

The Heart of Forgiveness

The Heart of Forgiveness

I question those Christians,
who say they love the Lord
and yet to forgive others
their hearts can't get on board.

They tithe and go to church,
sometimes they read their Bible
but to those who have hurt them
they still hold them accountable.

Forgiveness is an eleven-letter word,
that they know how to spell out
but to understand it's full meaning
they are full of hesitation and doubt.

They have chosen not to forget,
nor give to God their pain
to do so would mean to them
all their suffering would be in vain.

For deep in their souls,
they have become the judge
and to forgive others means
their hearts would have to budge.

And so they cling on to the past,
with hearts as cold as stone
instead of giving over their grief
to the One who judges from the throne.

I wonder if they ever think,
what if Jesus had thought this way?
I wonder what these Christians . . .
would then have to say.

Ephesians 4: 32
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted,
 forgiving one another,

even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

The Beauty of a Snowflake

The Beauty of a Snowflake
In the beauty of a snowflake,
Falling softly on the land ,
Is the mystery and the miracle
Of God’s great , creative hand ,
Far what better answer are there
      To prove His Holy Being
Than the wonders all around us
That are ours just for the seeing !

Sin Freedom

Sin Freedom

One sin, one thousand sins or more,
Jesus died for them all,
Each one is forgiven the instant He
hears the sinner's call.
From the youngster whose sin  dept
we consider to be light,
Up to the elderly whose debt of sin
may reach a staggering height.

This world's Creator sent His Son
to free the sin debt of man,
From heaven to a cross to a grave,
back to heaven was His plan.
With shed blood so pure to cover
every sin man will commit,
From the least to the greatest with
one only that it will omit.

Jesus said the unforgiven sin is The
Holy Spirit being denied,
Often this will happen all because
of a person's stubborn pride.
As self control takes over and God's
ways are simply put aside,
The Holy Spirit failed to penetrate
the heart each time He tried.

As it's written, all have sinned and
fell short of God's glory,
Yet there's hope for Jesus gives joy
to an otherwise, tragic story.
For this is why He came to earth, the
reason His blood was shed,
That hell can be avoided and as death
comes, there's nothing to dread.
