Give us daily awareness

Give us daily awareness

On life’s busy thoroughfares
We meet with angels unawares –
So Father , make us kind and wise
So we may always recognize
The blessings that are ours to take ,
The friendships that are ours to make
If we but open our heart’s door wide
To let the sunshine of love inside .

Lost in Pain

Lost in Pain
I as talking to a friend just the other day
She seemed to have more pain than even she could say
For you see, she lost her husband
And it just does not seem right the loneliness overwhelms her
Especially in the quiet of the night
I told her I have been there I know how much it hurts
And just when it seems better pain comes back in many spurts
I know she loves her God
That He’s always part of all her days
But right now her pain is so intense
Her mind is in a sort of haze
So we talked and talked about Him
And how He loves her very much
When things are too much to bear
He will give her His personal touch
But she has to be receptive now
Turn over her grief and pain
To a God whose totally loving
She has so much she can gain
For He will help us with our struggles
He will pass the test of time
Be sure to ask His favor
If you’re lost in pain sometime!

My Strength , My Fortress

My Strength , My Fortress
In troubled times – I turn to God .
He is my refuge from the storm ,
and in the shelter of His arms –
I feel secure and warm .

He is my strength ,my fortress ,
my warmth when I am cold ,
and when I reach out I find
His hand for mine to hold .

Often on life’s ocean
my ship is turned and tossed .
His light guides me safely home
when I’m frightened and lost .

He stills the restless waters ,
and calms the raging storm ,
and in the shelter of His arms
I am secure and warm !

Burnt Biscults

burnt biscuits

I love this message....hope all of you will too.

Happy New Year!!

When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every
now
and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made
breakfast after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and
extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see
if
anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at
my
mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told
him
that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on
that
biscuit and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom
apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what
he
said: "Honey, I love burned biscuits."

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he
really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said,
"Your
Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides
- a
little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!"

Life is full of imperfect things.....and imperfect people. I'm not the
best
at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like
everyone else. But what I've learned over the years is that learning to
accept each others faults - and choosing to celebrate each others
differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy,
growing, and lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the
good,
the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet
of God. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give
you a relationship where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker!

We could extend this to any relationship. In fact, understanding is the
base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or
siblings or friendship!

"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket - keep it
in
your own."

God Bless You..... Now, and Always....

Thank you , brother Mike Wells for sending me this .

Gardeners of God

Gardeners of God
The seeds we sow are made to grow
In acts and deeds we do
And what we harvest , in return ,
Is what our efforts grew .
So, if we sow God’s seeds of love-
Throughout our years of time –
The crops we harvest, every day ,
Will always be divine .

It is , for us , to sow his cares
In deeds of every kind
And live the christian way of life-
In body , heart and mind –
So we may harvest , every day ,
The joys he wills to be
To gardeners of his love and care –
And Christianity .

He cares for you . 1 Peter 5:7

The Beauty of a snowflake

In the beauty of a snowflake,
Falling softly on the land ,
Is the mystery and the miracle
Of God’s great, creative hand ,
For what better answers are there
To prove His holy Being
Than the wonders all around us
That are ours just for the seeing
