God Will Not ask Me

God Will Not Ask Me

God is not going to ask me how much I made.
He will ask me how much I gave.

God will not ask me about the size of my house.
He will ask me did I invite Him in.

God will not ask me about the elegance of the neighborhood.
He will ask me how I treated my neighbor.

God will not ask me what kind of car I drove.
He will ask me did I give those with no car a ride.

God will not ask me about the beauty of my wife.
He will ask me did I treat her with love.

God will not ask me about the style of my clothes.
He will ask me did I help clothe others.

God will not ask me the size of my bank account.
He will ask me how much is in my heavenly account.

God will not ask me how many children I fathered.
He will ask me if I was a good father to my children.

God will not ask me did I achieve fame.
He will ask me about my reputation.

God will not ask me if I traveled the world.
He will ask me did I improve the world.

God will not ask me about the troubles that I had.
He will ask me if I helped comfort the troubled.
God will not ask me if I did miracles in the name of His Son.
He will ask me if I really knew Him.

A woman was at work when she received a phone call that her small daughter was very sick with a fever. She left work and stopped by the pharmacy to get some medication. She got back to her car and found that she had locked her keys in the car. She didn't know what to do, so she called home and told the baby sitter what had happened.

The baby sitter told her that the fever was getting worse. She said, "You might find a coat hanger and use that to open the door."

The woman looked around and found an old rusty coat hanger that had been left on the ground, but said to herself, "I don't know how to use this."

She bowed her head and asked God to send her help. Within five minutes an old, beat-up motor motorcycle pulled up with a bearded man who was wearing an old biker skull rag on his head.

The woman thought, "This is what You sent to help me?" But she was desperate, so she was also very thankful. The man got off of his bike and asked if he could help.

She said, "Yes, my daughter is very sick. I stopped to get her some medication and I locked my keys in my car. I must get home to her, please, can you use this hanger to unlock my car?"

He said, "Sure." He walked over to the car, and in less than a minute the car was opened.

She hugged the man and through her tears she said, "Thank you SO much! You are a very nice man."

The man replied, "Lady, I am not a nice man. I just got out of prison yesterday - for car theft."

The woman hugged the man again and with sobbing tears cried out loud, "Oh, thank you God! You even sent me a professional!"

Live. Love. Laugh.

A Perfect Day

A Perfect Day

God stretches out His loving hand
His blessings to bestow ,
And guides us in our daily lives
Because He loves us so .

He fills our hearts with joy and peace
We’re always in his care ,
He knows our need and want
And answers every prayer .

He heals all pain and solves all ills
Which often come our way ,
His grace shines down upon us all
To create a perfect day .

Ever Since Gethsemane

Ever since Gethsemane
Where Jesus walked His lonely way ,
A garden’s soft serenity
Has marked a special place to pray .

My garden knows no holiness ;
The Master’s footsteps never trod
Along these paths , yet I confess
I’ve seen His mark upon the sod .

My garden takes on special grace
And I find love and lasting peace
Within the confines of this place
As golden summer days increase .

If I should pause to meditate
And offer prayers on bended knee ,
Suddenly , by some strange fate ,
My garden is Gethsemane !!

My Country Home Place

My Country Home Place

Give me sweet hay barns
And windswept hollows ,
White rumpled clouds laced
With the flight of swallows.

Give me fields of tall corn
In waving green rows ,
And the bright orange pumpkins
That harvest time knows.

Give me rippling creek water
Where children splash and wade
With stately oak trees lending
Cool intervals of shade .

Give me bright meadow daisies
On rolling green hills
And fruit pies cooling
On wide windowsills .

Give me these Summer miracles
In treasured beauty traced ,
Where life’s delights await me
In my country home place .
