He Watches Over You

Praise Jehovah on the mountains
In the valleys, over plains
Praise Him in the cities
And in the wild terrains
Praise on the oceans
Or when flying in the blue
Praise Him everywhere you can
That’s where He watches over you

Praise Jehovah when you’re working
When you’re eating, when you play
Praise Him when the dark storms rage
And on the calmest of your days
Praise Him when the sun is bright
And when the darkness hides the view
Praise Him every time you can
That’s when He watches over you

Praise Jehovah with your loving heart
When you’re happy, when you’re sad
When you’re doing what you know is right
When you’re tempted to be bad
Praise Jehovah in your choices
And in everything you do
Praise Him if it means your life
That’s how He watches over you

Praise Jehovah because he loves you
Because He gave His son to die
For that gift you can’t repay
No matter how you try
Praise Him for Christ sacrifice
For His grace and Gospel true
Praise Him for His perfect love
That’s why He watches over you

Love Letter from God

Today I received,
a love letter from God
I opened up my Bible
here is what I read . . .

I am your Creator,
before you were born
I molded and formed you
just like the dew in the morn.

I’m the remedy to your needs,
I am your soothing balm
I’m the peace in your storm
I am the voice that is calm.

I’m all the grace you need,
in Me, there is eternal life
I came so that I could bear
the burden of your strife.

I am your staff of comfort,
I will shield and protect you
through life’s complexities
together we’ll journey through.

I am the anchor of your soul,
a safe place to run and hide
I will never forsake you . . .
I am always at your side.

I’m the lamp unto your way,
with my Word I will guide
I am the One who you feel
stirring up deep inside.

I am your Creator,
I knew you from the start
that is why I gave to you
for Me ~ a loving heart!

Love Came to Conquer

Love came to conquer,
Love came to deploy
mercy and grace
so sin it could destroy.

Love came to stop,
the adulterer and murderer
the thug and the thief
the blasphemous perjurer.

Love came to overcome,
the anxious and worried
the fearful and the afraid
the troubled and wearied.

Love came to defeat,
the back bitter and gossiper
the arrogant and the conceited
the prideful, ego worshiper.

Love came to overpower,
the rebellious and greedy
the contentiously belligerent
the sordid and seedy.

Love came to conquer,
each and every sin
Love came to save
Love came to win!

Romans 8:35-39

  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

 

A Thread of Faith

It only takes a thread of faith,
to keep you from unraveling
it only takes one strand of trust
so God can do some dazzling.

It only takes one single cord,
to have patience in all things
it only takes a fiber of hope
to see the strength God brings.

It only takes a wisp of conviction,
to believe in what you can’t see
it only takes a little rope
to see how great God can be.

It only takes a remnant of belief,
and a willingness to pray
it only takes one heartfelt cry
for God to save the day.

It only takes a thread of faith,
to weave your salvation story
it only takes one strand of trust
for God to have all the glory.

Observing Presidents' Day

We have been blessed in America
By our God's almighty hand.
We should be ever thankful
For the freedom in our land.

Passed to us is a great heritage
From past leaders in our nation.
Many prayed, seeking God's guidance
Through wars and much tribulation.

We've had some great presidents,
Who have led in an honorable way.
We give them tribute and honor
On their own very special day.

We celebrated Washington's birthday
In the past throughout our land.
Some states honored Lincoln too.
For the Union, he took a stand.

In the nineteen-eighties. we changed.
We now call it Presidents' Day.
In February, the third Monday,
Honor to our presidents, we pay.

What can we do to truly observe
This special Presidents' Day?
Thank God for blessing our nation
And for the President, we can pray.
