If ye abide in me

"If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7

Do you want to know the will of God in your life? Here's a test: how much time do you spend reading the Bible? Do you think God really believes we want to know His will when we don't take even 15 minutes a day to read the one book above all books that God has specifically written to show you His will, to reveal His will to you, to unfold His will to you?

Your first step in knowing His will is the surrender principle -- surrendering our will to His. Your second step is the scripture principle. Read His word, meditate upon it, share it, and study it. When you bow to His will and read His will, you'll know His will. Commit to read God's Word at least 15 minutes a day for 30 days. When the month is over, reevaluate what you have learned and ask God to help you be obedient to daily Bible reading from this day forward.

Jesus Loves Me Senior Version

Jesus Loves Me Senior Version

M
any years ago, while watching a little TV on Sunday instead of going To church, I watched a Church in Atlanta honoring one of it's senior Pastors who had been retired many years...

He was 92 at that time and I wondered why the Church even bothered to Ask the old gentleman to preach at that age. After a warm welcome, introduction of this speaker, and as the applause quieted down he rose from his high back chair and walked slowly, with great effort and a sliding gate to the podium. Without a note or written paper of any kind, he placed both hands on the pulpit to steady himself and then quietly and slowly he began to speak....

"When I was asked to come here today and talk to you, your pastor asked me to tell you what was the greatest lesson ever learned in my 50 odd years of preaching. I thought about it for a few days and boiled it down to just one thing that made the most difference in my life and sustained me through all my trials. The one thing that I could always rely on when tears and heart break and pain and fear and sorrow paralyzed me...the only thing that would comfort was this song .........

"Jesus loves me this I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to him belong, we are weak but he is strong..... Yes, Jesus loves me... The Bible tells me so." When he finished, the church was quiet.

You actually could hear his foot steps as he shuffled back to his chair. I don't believe I will ever forget it. A pastor once stated, "I always noticed that its was the adults who Chose the children's hymn 'Jesus Loves Me' (for the children of course)

During a hymn sing, and it was the adults who sang the loudest because I Could see they knew it the best." Senior version of Jesus Loves Me Here is a new version just for us who have white hair, or no hair at all. For us over middle age (or even those almost there) and all you others, check out this newest version of "Jesus Loves Me". It is quite cute, so read, sing and enjoy:"

JESUS LOVES ME

Jesus loves me, this I know, Though my hair is white as snow. Though My sight is growing dim, Still He bids me trust in Him.

(CHORUS)

YES, JESUS LOVES ME...YES, JESUS LOVES ME... YES, JESUS LOVES ME FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO.
Though my steps are oh, so slow, With my hand in His I'll go On Through life, let come what may, He'll be there to lead the way.

(CHORUS)

Though I am no longer young, I have much which He's begun. Let me Serve Christ with a smile, Go with others the extra mile.

(CHORUS)

When the nights are dark and long, In my heart He puts a song. Telling Me in words so clear, "Have no fear, for I am near."

(CHORUS)

When my work on earth is done, And life's victories have been won. He will take me home above, Then I'll understand His love

(CHORUS)

I love Jesus, does He know? Have I ever told Him so? Jesus loves to hear me say, That I love Him every day.
God Bless Us All!!!

Give it Jesus

A little boy was trying to roll a rock as his father watched from a distance. The boy was heaving and sighing, but he couldn't turn the stone over. His dad, with a smile said, " Son, are you using all of your strength?" He said, "Yes, Daddy, I'm using all my strength." And the father said, " No, you're not because you have not asked me to help you. My strength is your strength."

Sometimes we wrestle with problems and say, " I don't know what to do." Our Father wants us to say, "I've run out of my strength," and run into His. He is there. There is no problem too big for Jesus to solve. Do you believe that? I hope so.

Is there a problem too big for you to solve?

Give it to Jesus.

He can handle it.

Great Men

I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord." Isaiah 63:7

One time, a man came into a village, and he asked an old man living there, "Any great men born here?" And the old man said, "No, just babies." Great men are not born; great men are made investing in the lives of others, sharing His love, and showing His mercies. Our calling is to be poured out into the lives of others for His glory. There is not a magic formula that instantly makes us sanctified. Sanctification is a process.

How can you show His mercies to a lost co-worker or neighbor today?

Pray about it and then watch for how God provides!

Love

IF I HAVE THE GIFT OF PROPHECY AND CAN FATHOM ALL MYSTERIES AND ALL KNOWLEDGE, AND IF I HAVE A FAITH THAT CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS, BUT HAVE NOT LOVE, I AM NOTHING."
( 1 CORINTHIANS 13:2 *NIV )

The Apostle Paul wrote these words almost 2,000 years ago, and they still apply to God's Children today! For it is written: GOD IS LOVE. WHOEVER LIVES IN LOVE LIVES IN GOD, AND GOD IN HIM."
( 1 JOHN 4:16 )

When we live a life filled with love for each other we become filled with the fruit of the Spirit! And "THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS AND SELF-CONTROL."
(GALATIANS 5:22)

It is then that the emptiness we had within disappears, for it is then that GOD is in us,
and we are in HIM!

So "I PRAY THAT YOU, BEING ROOTED AND ESTABLISHED IN LOVE, MAY HAVE POWER, TOGETHER WITH ALL THE SAINTS, TO GRASP HOW WIDE AND LONG HIGH AND DEEP IS THE LOVE OF CHRIST, AND TO KNOW THIS LOVE THAT SURPASSES KNOWLEDGE --THAT YOU MAY BE FILLED TO THE MEASURE OF ALL FULLNESS OF GOD." ( EPHESIANS 3:17-20 )

Have a tremendous day knowing that God Loves You, and is always there with you as well!
