Lighten up Today

I am condensing the last 25 years in to this poem. I have had many struggles. Some very intense. But even though God didn't spare me from trouble in every situation, He always was with me through it. Sometimes young people can't see light at the end of the tunnel. And some of us older folks can lend a helping hand. I wish the best for all who read it.

Lighten Up Today

When you're going through life's valleys,
And you think there's no way out,
You're not the first to feel this way,
There's hope, without a doubt.

It was easier many years ago,
Thought life would stay that way,
But now you feel like crap,
And it seems it's here to stay.

Your friends have tried to help,
But you tell them it's no use,
You think one has it in for you,
It seems you can't get loose.

Set the problem aside today,
Have fun and take a break,
You have no idea until you try it,
What a difference it can make.

So your trouble didn't vanish,
What time you were away,
But it sometimes makes it easier,
And can help you through the day.

If you feel like giving up,
How will you ever Know,
If you had diverted your attention,
Learned what God wants you to know.

He wants you to be blessed He does,
He loves you till it hurts,
He's cared about you many years,
Since you were a little squirt.

If the devil tries to scare you,
You know he's telling tales,
Jesus defeated him completely,
The day he got those nails.

What ever you are going through,
Keep a song playing in your heart,
And give thanks to God above,
You don't push a shopping cart.

Use a little humor today,
It makes things seem much lighter,
And I'm hoping that you real soon,
Will feel a whole lot brighter.

God's Poetry

What is God's poetry?

God's Poetry

When you look at the trees. you feel inner peace.
And when you see the seas..you feel blessed.
God's poetry is all around us.
To know his beautiful pictures on his great canvas is beauty to the beholder.
No fortune teller can surpass his knowledge and no painter can outdo his pictures of wonderful love.
We should all love God, for He is Truth, life and the Way!
Each day..we should praise him and give true thanks for everything He has done for us.
Indeed..God is a true poet and in the holy bible, you will find the truth and word of real meaning and love...and above all, you will feel tranquility when one day you meet God.
He is the most special spirit to admire and adore.
And He is precious to many people.
And those that attend church meetings are doing what is right in their hearts.
Yes God is a true poet and loving toward all his children.

He Shines His Light

He Shines His Light

He shines his light
Upon my life
He shines his grace on me
If it was not for him
my life would hang
Like a man hanging from a rope
I would float in darkness
My sins would over shadow me
My toil would grow great
He shines light on me
If it wasn't for him my spirit would die
I would cry a river of tears
My eyes look upon on a hill
Where angels fly and spread joy and peace
If it was not for him
I would be lead a stray
My days would be dark with gloom
My precious soul would be doomed
For it was not for him I would not be alive
I would struggle and fall to the ground
If it was not for him
My life would be stuck in limbo
He shines his light on me
To see me through
To keep me strong
And keep me from falling into
A world pool of sin

Best Friend of All

 Best Friend of All

Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood ... to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.  Revelation 1:5-6
How sweet the sunshine after rain,
And sweet the rest that follows pain,
But sweeter far His face to see,
The Son of God who died for me.

But not until He calls me home,
No, not till then will I behold
The Saviour who did die for me,
And bore my sins on Calvary.

He suffered, bled and died alone,
Alone, alone for you and me,
Could I for shame reject such love,
  A sacrifice from God above?

I do accept His sacrifice,
Will serve Him now for evermore.
For only such a Friend as he,
Could pardon, cleanse and make me free.

If you receive His pardoning grace,
You'll meet Him yonder face to face,
And have a home in Heaven above
Where all is joy and peace and love.

Then when around God's throne we meet
And lowly bow at Jesus' feet,
A song of praise we'll ever sing
To Christ, our Saviour, Lord and King.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.  Revelation 4:11

If

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
