The Church

THE CHURCH

The Church is not a building;
It's a body.
It has no rooms for cleaning,
Or a lobby.
You cannot paint its walls -or-
Greet in the halls.
The Church is not a building;
It's a body.

The Church is not an office;
It's a body.
It's not a place for business
Or a party.
It's not where we meet -or-
Where we take a seat.
The Church is not a building;
It's a body.

The Church is not in town;
It is the City.
It's not built upon the ground
Or with money.
You can't hang up a sign
On brick, oak, or pine.
The Church is not in town;
It is the City.

The Church is the Bride;
Jesus is the Groom.
Together they abide
As new Jerusalem.

The Church is the Kingdom;
Its light is the Lord.
For us He has come,
So faithful is His Word!

Christ for the World

Christ for the World

In every tongue and nation longs a soul
For that which has the pow’r to make him whole
In darkness shed the light
Turn back the host of night
And lift the banner high, “Christ for the World”

The need is clear to all who want to see
For God has giv’n His truth abundantly
He tells us now to go
For everyone must know
The Lord of whom we speak, “Christ for the World”

There is no minor part in work for God
Each saved one is redeemed by Jesus’ blood
And for the task at hand
He’ll help you understand
The work you do helps show “Christ for the World”

The flesh must have no part in what we do
By faith we trust in God to lead us through
The way that works the best
Is when we simply rest
On God to show through us “Christ for the World”

This Sinner

This Sinner ~

 I haven't seen Jesus,
but, I know Him none the less
by faith, I can see Him clearly
His love for me I profess.

I haven't felt His touch,
His physical hand, I've not held
but His presence in my life
He has not hidden or withheld.

My ears haven't heard His voice,
but, I listen for His inflections
and I can hear Him distinctly
giving me advice and directions.

I know He loves this sinner,
for He has gazed into my heart
though the world may judge me
mercy and forgiveness He imparts.

I have not heard or touched Him,
nor have I've seen Jesus' face
but, one thing I know for sure
I am saved by His grace!

"Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom,
though now ye see him not, yet
believing, ye rejoice with joy
unspeakable and full of glory:"

Alone With God

Alone With God

The snow is falling on the hill
and this Day will  soon pass.
My house is peaceful, calm and still.
The time went by so fast.

It's time to be alone with God
and reminisce today...
To contemplate amazing Love
that takes my breath away!

The beauty in a baby's smile;
The pain to hear it's cries;
To see a heart break in a child
brings teardrops to my eyes.

God holds my life within His hand
and feels my heartache too.
Although I cannot understand...
He's there to see me through.

He cares enough to set me free
to choose the right from wrong
and waits for me so patiently.
His love is just that strong.

Circle of friends

Circle of friends

Oh,joy can be profound
Though foes be around
In the circle of friends
Life beautifully blends

It's so nice to be real
To know one understands how you feel
In the circle of friends
There's no need to pretend

Cheering us in times of tears
Helping us through heart-felt prayers
Through life's curves and bends
Friends help us comprehend

That we are needed and loved
Uniquely by our Father above
Through triumphs,through tears
Friends will always stay near

Oh,what joy,what joy!
Their company we really enjoy
Precious ones so dear
Lending us listening ears

Beaming their seraphic smile
Heaven enfolds us a while
Enjoying their warm embrace
We're wrapped in sweet grace

Their love helps us glow
And forget our sorrows
In the circle of friends
Broken hearts will mend

Oh,lost peace is found
At their lovely sound
Sweet,melodious voices
Encouraging right choices

Angels though in disguise
Giving us timely advice
Oh,the rare treasures God sends
In the circle of friends
