A Tribute To George Beverly Shea

For many years I have heard
Singing by George Beverly Shea.
That is why I was so saddened
To hear of his death today.

In the Billy Graham Crusades,
George sang from his heart.
In that evangelistic ministry,
He certainly had a great part.

Oh, the joy of that home-coming
When he reached the golden shore.
His flight was set on ready,
For he was one-hundred and four.

This booming baritone is in Heaven,
Worshipping his Savior so dear,
Singing "I'd Rather Have Jesus"
More beautiful than he sang it here.

Will he sing "The Wonder Of It All"
With more verses added up there?
Yes, now he can see more wonders
In that Heavenly home so fair.

America's beloved hymn singer
Is gone and belongs to the ages.
He faithfully sang for Christ,
Singing from our hymn book pages.

Please remenber Mr and Mrs Billy Phillips in prayer . Last 2 years he lost both his mother and father .and now he has damage to his knee . His wife Mary has bad back problem may, have to be operate on in the near future

Heaven Awaits

  I've traveled this long road of life.

I've seen happiness; I've seen strife.
I've served God from place to place,
Telling the story, saved by grace.

Many miles I have traveled here,
Some sad, some filled with cheer,
But my weary soul will feel its best
When one day it enters Heaven's rest.

I must serve the Lord here below
Until He says, "It's time to go."
I must go about, trying to do good,
Pleasing God the way I should.

Going home will really be great,
But I should work here while I wait.
Still I am yearning more and more
To make my trip to that golden shore.

You changed my life from what it was

Let me be faithful in all my ways
So I can enter your gates with thanksgiving
And, your courts with all my praise.

Teardrops from God's eyes

The morning cold and raining, dark before dawn could come Blood stained tears from God's eyes come crashing All is lost above Lost souls are shattered all across the ground As they search for the lives they once lived But like the teardrops from God's eyes people are lost and forgotten never to be seen againMy love crys out to faith, to hope. My fears consume me whole A truth in god's eyes not even Jesus can behold People are dying, lost, and crying. Needing a place to go. Darkness overcoming, nothing left. The sun is growing cold Teardrops still fall from God's eyes. Full of sorrow, yet so full of life

But i see a shy light behind a small cloud Just longing to be bright.As God eases his fearful tears, a few more souls are found. The sun shines through, To brightin the day, then God shook his head and frowned. But oh I bet he smiled.

It only takes one-step . . .
to walk in His shoes
it only takes one heart
to spread the Good News.

It only takes one match,
to set a soul afire
it only takes one flame
for your faith to inspire.

It only takes one voice,
to make up God's choir
it only takes one mind
to become a Gospel crier.

It only takes one Christian,
to make a real difference
it only takes one believer
willing to go the distance.

It only takes one-step . . .
planted on the Word
it only take one heart
for the truth to be heard.
