One Great Lady

The world has given to us
great ladies from everywhere
Their contributions in life
have filled the atmosphere

Paintings and flags are remembered
and books and recipes too
So many gifts they've given
freely to me and you

But the greatest gift of all
great ladies are remembered for
Is love for life and children
just being there and more

One lady that stands out
from all the others I know
Is my mother one great lady
God's gift to earth below

She didn't write a book
or fight in any war
She just labored every day
to give to me and more

My mother is in heaven
in perfect peace and rest
I love you Mom and this I say
You were and are the best!
