Did you know that the type most newspapers use for astounding events is called "second coming" type? These are large, heavy, black letters reserved for only the most stupendous, amazing, front page news - such as the return of Jesus Christ. Many will remember seeing this banner headline used to announce the surrenders of Germany and Japan, marking the end of World War II. It also told the news of the assassination of John F. Kennedy and the shooting of President Reagan. This blood heading style has proclaimed successful flights into space, presidential election winners, and other dramatic events of universal importance.
One day mankind will witness the great event for which the "second coming" type was named for - the return of Jesus Christ. Yes, the savior will literally come back to this planet He left so long ago. He will fulfill the promise He gave to His disciples before He ascended to heaven. And when He does, it will command the attention of all earth's inhabitants. The whole world will know that the Lord Jesus is alive. Truly it will be a headline event"!

Just One Day
If I could live to God for just one day ,
One blessed day , from rosy dawn of light ,
Til purple twilight deepened into night ,
A day of faith unfaltering ,trust complete ,
Of love unfeigned and perfect charity ,
Of hope undimmed , of courage past dismay ,
Of heavenly peace , patient humility-
No hint of duty to constrain my feet ,
No dream of ease to lum to listlessness ,
With my heart no root of bitterness ,
No yielding to temptation’s subtle away ,
I think , in that one day would so expand
My soul to meet such holy , high demand
That never ,never more could hold me bound
This shriveling husk of self that wraps me round,
So might I henceforth live to God always

Regarding Brad
THEY DREW OVER A QUART OF FLUID OF HIS LEFT LUNG.... THURSDAY WILL BE HIS LAST RADIATION TREATMENT....FRIDAY HE WILL BE GOING FOR MRI AND X-RAYS....THEN HE WILL FIND OUT IF HE WILL HAVE TO UNDERGO CHEMO TREATMENTS FOR THE CANCER...THANKS FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS...BRAD IS NOT A QUITTER HE IS A FIGHTER AND GOD IS IN CONTROL...
When I was sitting in church last night and was hearing thousands of people standing up and praising God and thought what a blessed man I am .

Cross-Currents

There are streams from the heart of the ocean ,
That flow toward the rocks on this shore ;
From the north and the south they are coming ,
And they meet with a rush and a roar.

Far above on the crags I am watching
The conflict that never shall cease ;
I can see how the struggle is faring ,
Why that ocean can never know peace .

In our hearts there are conflicting currents
That rush in from here and from there .
We are warned that some will break on us ,

But others steal up unaware .

In his heaven above , God is sitting ;
And He sees every battle we fight .
He knows why there’s always a struggle
In our lives as we strive for the right .

Prayer for Our Great Nation

Almighty God , we make our earnest that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection ; that Thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government ; to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow citizens of the United States at large , And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice , to love mercy , and to demean ourselves with that charity , humility and pacific temper of mind ,which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion , and without and humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be happy nation . Grant our supplication , we beseech Thee , through
