3D

3D
==
When I took my kids to see their first 3D movie, I was blown

away with how the glasses altered my vision.

Not like I expected though.

I was not overly impressed with the 3D effects in the movie

itself; what really surprised me was what happened when I exited

the theater.

When I came out of the theater and removed my 3D glasses,

I experienced the greatest parable of life.

"Life is how we view it."

After wearing glasses where one lens was red and the other was

blue, my eyes had adjusted to the colors.

Now with my naked eyes, out of one eye the world had a blue tint

and out of the other eye the world had a red tint.

I could not believe my eyes, I had never heard of that

phenomenon before. I rubbed my eyes and closed one eye and

alternated them over and over. Everything looked redder, then

everything looked bluer, over and over.

I had enough scientific knowledge and common sense to know the

whole world was not changing colors, timed perfectly to the

instant I shut one eye and opened the other.

This was the most altered my vision had ever been, yet it was

perhaps the clearest I had ever seen the world.

I now saw the argument between the optimist and the pessimist

solved, it depends on which eye you have open.

In your life, do you focus on those who have more than you or

those who are less fortunate than you?

Do you focus on how bad your job is or that you have a job?

Do you focus on the smallness of your closet and house, or do

you see that you have so many clothes you don't have room to

store them?

What eye are you looking out of?

If you want the world to look differently, it may be easier for

you to open the other eye than to paint the world.

What's Under Your Robe?

Sin isn't just the kind,
observed with the eyes
there can be so much more
no matter the disguise.

People may point out,
the obvious sin in our life
but it's the sin that's unseen
that will cause eternal strife.

Sin that can't be seen,
that we keep deep within
doesn't go unnoticed
though we think it's hidden.

For God sees our hearts,
the sins we're harboring
He knows every deep secret
that we are nurturing.

We need to check our robes,
look under what it covers
there may be sin in us . . .
He wants us to discover!

Bleeding Hearts

Bleeding Hearts

We search for love,
in all the wrong places
we seek acceptance
in strangers faces.

We go to chat rooms,
join a dating service
hoping our soul mate
comes to the surface.

We go to dances
we party, we dance
scanning the crowd
for a little romance.

We wish and we hope,
we beg and we pray
our truest of loves
will come our way.

We are often foolish,
unwise and soft-hearted
and our bleeding-hearts
are often discarded.

So, if you are looking,
for someone to eternally love
just open up your heart
and look up above.

Jesus loves you,
like no one else ever will . . .
the emptiness in your heart
His grace will quench and fill!

Hallelujah ! It May Be Today

Hallelujah! It May Be Today!

I'm gazing toward the eastern sky
And wishing that maybe today,
Jesus will meet us in the air
And will rapture His church away.

I'm not attached to this world.
I can leave everything behind.
I won't need to take anything,
Not any baggage of any kind.

All my problems will be solved
As I leave them all here below.
I will abandon all my sorrows,
Along with my troubles and woe.

It really would be nice to avoid
The services of the undertaker.
I would like to go home today
With my Savior, the upper taker.

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!
Come quickly and take us away!
I'm watching, waiting, and working.
Hallelujah! It may be today!

I want Myself to know

        I want Myself to know
I have to live with myself and so
I want to be fit for myself to know.
I want to be able as days go by,
always to look myself straight in the eye;
I don't want to stand with the setting sun
and hate myself for the things I have done.
I don't want to keep on a closet shelf
a lot of secrets about myself
and fool myself as I come and go
into thinking no one else will ever know
the kind of person I really am,
I don't want to dress up myself in sham.
I want to go out with my head erect
I want to deserve all men's respect;
but here in the struggle for fame and wealth
I want to be able to like myself.
I don't want to look at myself and know that
I am bluster and bluff and empty show.
I never can hide myself from me;
I see what others may never see;
I know what others may never know,
I never can fool myself and so,
whatever happens I want to be
self respecting and conscience free.

My Prayer
"God give us men and women to match our mountains,
God give us men and women to match our plains ,
Men and women  with empires in their purpose
Men and women with throbbing , conquering brains .

Give us men and women to lead our nation ,
Give us men and women with holy zeal ,
Men and women aflame with truth and wision
Men and women who bear the heavenly seal .

Give us men and women who love the Bible ,
And it's percept do obey ,
Give us men and women who have convictions
And are Christians all the way .

Give us men and women  who follow Jesus
Give us men and women who love their Lord ,
Men and women with hearts pure and courageous
Men and women led by God's Eternal Word "

In Christ Jesus

In Christ Jesus

I am so very happy and glad today,
For all my sins are washed away!
They are under the blood of the Lamb.
I stand justified before the great I Am.

I am in Christ, my Lord and Savior.
I am happily living in God's favor.
I will witness for Him in every place,
Telling others of His saving grace.

I love Christ Jesus with all my heart.
For Him, I want to always do my part.
I strive to be more like Him every day
In how I behave and in what I say.

For my Lord, I want to be on fire,
For serving Him is my utmost desire.
The inner joy I have will not cease.
Being in Christ gives wonderful peace.

The Move
In order for God to take you to another place,
He must first move you from where you are.
The move often seems like disaster,
but it's only the creaking and groaning of a reluctant door.
