God' Blessings of Love and Wisdom

God's Blessings Of Love And Wisdom

Where there is hatred or resentment: Let love and understanding conquer;
Where there is trouble and stress: Let faith and peace prevail;
Where there is misunderstanding: Let wisdom and compassion overcome;
Where there is sickness and pain: Let God's hands heal thee;
Where there is failure and defeat: Let perseverance and victory prevail;
Where there is poverty or misfortune: Ask God to prosper you.
Where there is love: Know that God is always there;
Therefore abideth in the love of God and He will bless thy soul forever; and in His kingdom you will always be - secure and safe from all enemies; for He is the God Shepard of us All, and with Him we cannot fall;
Time is just an infinite space that would mean nothing without God's grace; and as we rush thru each new day - take time to pray; thank Him for His faithfullness, and praise Him for his graciousness;
A home He has built us that can never be destroyed - it's filled with love and overflowing with joy - it shelters and keeps our souls on earth as in heaven above; therefore, delight in His wisdom and His love;
Omnipotent is His love - it stops all harm and danger; endless is His love which surrounds His earthly angels and His heavenly angels above; mistakes we all do make - but He will forgive and make you complete; therefore, trust in Him - your most faithful friend, and victory you'll surely win.

Hard of Hearing

Hard of Hearing

Psalms 79–80, Romans 11:1–18
Key Verses: Romans 11:7–8

Ever hear of “selective hearing loss”? I don’t know if the condition is medically valid, but at times I have seen it. Here is what it looks like: a person hears some things but not others. What he hears is not due to volume or clarity but want. He hears what he wants to hear and tunes out the rest—selective hearing loss.

Now, have you ever heard of “spiritual hearing loss”? Again, it’s not a diagnosis found in medical texts, but it is in the Bible. And while we may smile at “selective hearing loss,” there is nothing humorous about “spiritual hearing loss.” Here is what it looks like: if anyone hears the truth and does not respond to it, the time may come when he will be incapable of responding.

Jesus spoke of it when He said, “‘They hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes’” (Matt. 13:15). Paul wrote of it here in Romans 11:7–8. What he says about hardening should be sobering to all, for the principle is universal. Those who reject God’s grace, trying instead to work their way into heaven, thinking they can make themselves righteous, may one day be incapable of responding to the free gift of salvation. Faith in Christ is sufficient; man’s substitutes for faith are insufficient.

It is good that you are reading the Bible daily. But remember that what makes a person a Christian is not his good deeds but faith in Christ. Keep reading, but be sure you have accepted Christ. “Spiritual hearing loss” is a sobering truth. If you have not done so yet, respond today to God’s grace.

Lost in Pain

Lost in Pain

I was talking to a friend
Just the other day
She seemed to have more pain
Than even she could say

For you see, she lost her husband
And it just does not seem right
The loneliness overwhelms her
Especially in the quiet of the night

I told her I have been there
I know how much it hurts
And just when it seems better
Pain comes back in many spurts

I know she loves her God
That He’s always part of all her days
But right now her pain is so intense
Her mind is in a sort of haze

So we talked and talked about Him
And how He loves her very much
When things are too much to bear
He will give her His personal touch

But she has to be receptive now
Turn over her grief and pain
To a God whose totally loving
She has so much she can gain

For He will help us with our struggles
He will pass the test of time
Be sure to ask His favor
If you’re lost in pain sometime!

'I Bask In The Love Of Jesus'

I bask in the love of Jesus,
In it I find my rest.
With it all trouble ceases,
Through it I know I'm blessed.
I know He's my Friend, my Savior,
My guiding Star at night.
He is the one I savor,
With Him, I have no fright.

I know that He loves me truly,
In that I am assured.
Even though I get unruly,
I'll always trust His Word.
He stays by my side forever,
I have no need to fear.
He will forsake me never,
He loves me oh so dear.

If there is one thing that I know,
It's that He loves you too.
Blessings to you He will show
To guide you safely through.
Just ask that He enter your heart
And stay eternally!
Grace and mercy He'll impart
Always for you and me!

Four rules , Drink, Steal, Swear,and Lie

I met this guy while I was in Greer and he has a
motto he lives by everyday. He said listen carefully and live by these 4
rules: Drink, Steal, Swear, & Lie. I was shaking my head 'no', but he
then told me to listen while he explained his four rules. So here they are:

1.. "Drink" from the "everlasting cup" every day.
2.. "Steal" a moment to help someone that is in worse shape than you
are.
3.. "Swear" that you will be a better person today than yesterday.
4.. And last, but not least, when you "lie" down at night, thank God
you live in America and have freedom.

I am not as good as I should be; I am not as good as I could be; but THANK
GOD, I am better than I used to be.

Jesus , Jesus , Jesus

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know
Oh Lord, what would have become of me
If you had not loved me so?

Where would my crushed heart go when delivered a blow?
Maybe to a comforting friend
But what would I do when that came to an end?

Who can give me back my mothers love?
Who can return me to my daddys knee?
Only you Lord, who gave it all to me.

Who can give me wisdom to see the Christmas tree?
And realize without you there would not be any me.

Who can hold me up Lord, when I can hold no more?
Only precious Jesus who will meet me at the door.

Who can look upon me when I am dead
And know the very number of the hairs upon my head?

Who can take the things we face down here
And turn them into victory
So we can face another year?

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know!

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His Resurrection?

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which wasplaced over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of span that stony coffin.

Is that important?

You'd better believe it! Is that significant! Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes, In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and everyone knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight,until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now, if the master was done eating he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, I'm done". But if the master got up from the table and folded his napkin, and placed it beside his plate the servant would not dare touch the table, because the servant knew that the folded napkin meant "I'm not finished yet."

The folded napkin meant, "I'm coming back!"

He is Coming Back! Praise the Lord!

Thy kingdom come

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:10

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:

Some time ago when farming in the lower part of the state of South Carolina, a farmer that had a plane and needed to put some flying time in the air ask me if I wanted to go along. Of course my answer was yes and we were soon in the air. As we flew over the dry river beds and spotted the actual old Santa Fe Trail wagon wheel tracks, the pilot asked me if I wanted to try my hands at flying the plane. I said, "Yes." Of course, he was sitting right next to me. He could fly it without me, but I couldn't fly it without him. He had his hands on the controls with me. He allowed me to participate with him. That's the way prayer is. God can do it without you, but God enables you to have fellowship with Him and teaches you a dependency upon Him.

Kneel before Him.

Meditate on 1 Chronicles 16:23-36.

Glory in His presence.

I will cry out to God

I WILL CRY OUT TO GOD MOST HIGH, TO GOD WHO PERFORMS ALL THINGS FOR ME. HE SHALL SEND FROM HEAVEN AND SAVE ME.
( PSALM 57:2-3 *NKJV )
Now, the short story..........................
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions. However one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened -everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me?" he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.
You know.....It's easy to get discouraged sometimes when things appear to be going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God! For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has a positive answer for it.
