Spring is here

Chinook winds blow at winter’s end,
spring rushes to the thresh hold
of muddy lanes and patchy snow,
of trees budding grand and bold Crocus and tulips push through soil,
bluebells and buttercups flourish,
plowed fields await fresh plantings
spring sunshine soon will nourish

Fleeting rainstorms kiss the face
of each flower in God’s design,
rainbows appear, then fade away,
leaving promise of glory divine Pitter-pat rhythms play on tin roofs,
cozy afghans cover our laps,
stretching cats recline on chair backs
as fireplace crackles and snaps Sunbeams streak through cloudy skies,
migrating geese fly above,
hints of fair weather changes bringing spring,
the season we love

THE FAITHFULL FEW

In the cold still air the melodic sound of the old bell tolls it's beckoning call
A warm sounding welcome, to all

Approaching the old double doors,
a warm handshake greets those who come;
the Faithful Few;
some old, some new.

The threshold beneath the old double doors,
worn smooth by little passing feet,
the echo of laughter
with children racing to their favorite seat

With all heads bowed and eyes closed tight
The warm caress of words prayed by the preacher
With love and delight

Listen to the songs of love and praise
Look up into the loving eyes of Jesus who seem to say
"Welcome Ye Faithful Few!
Do not forsake me
I will keep my promise

"I WILL COME FOR YOU"

THIS TOO WILL PASS

All external circumstances and material things change.
No matter what your circumstances, remember, THIS TOO SHALL
PASS!
A king called all of his wise men and counselors together for a meeting. He addressed them and said: “I want you to go and think, read, and research. Consult the wisest and most learned men in the land. Spare no expense. I want you to find the ONE statement that will get me through all situations in life. Whether I am on top of the world or in the pits, find that statement. I don’t want to learn long and complicated philosophies. I want one simple statement. Find it or write it; I don’t care, just bring me the statement.”
The men left and consulted for months. They finally returned and handed the King a scroll. The King unrolled the scroll.
On it was written four words: “THIS TOO SHALL PASS”
That was it. The wise men explained. When you are on top of the world, that is but a fleeting moment, things change, always remember, this too shall pass. When you are in the pits, all nights are followed by day, at your lowest moments remember also, this too shall pass. All external circumstances and material things change.
No matter what your circumstances, remember, THIS TOO SHALL PASS!
The wise men reminded the great King that this would get him through his earthly things but the truly wise knew there were things beyond this earth and life. Things those were eternal. True wisdom they reminded the King was in the ability to recognize the fleeting temporal things of the material world from the truly eternal things.
O Great King they said, “Most of the things that you worry or gloat about are temporary and our four words apply.”
Dear Readers, for most of your situations. . . THIS TOO SHALL PASS!
God has you and your life in his hands , and he love you .

My Hand In God's

Each morning when I wake I say,
“I place my hand in God’s today;”
I know He’ll walk close by my side
My every wandering step to guide.
He leads me with the tenderest care
When paths are dark and I despair—
No need for me to understand
If I but hold fast to His hand.
My hand in His! No surer way
to walk in safety through each day.
By His great bounty I am fed;
Warmed by His love, and comforted.
When at day’s end I seek my rest
And realize how much I’m blessed,
My thanks pour out to Him; and then
I place my hand in God’s again.

Live life to the fullest, for the future is scarce.
It’s only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, we will then begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.

Power Of His Love

Power Of His Love

Life is too short to gripe and complain.
It will only cause me sorrow and pain.
Like a garden needs rain and sun to grow, I must nurture the seeds I sew.
Lots of praying to the good Lord above, to give me the strength to love and be loved.
To help and protect me for all I hold dear, and hold back the demons that live on my fears.
For I am not perfect and this we both know.
Your son is my savior, my heart and my soul.

One night a man came to our house and told me, “There is a family with eight children. They have not eaten for days,” I took some food and I went. When I finally came to the family, I saw the faces of those little children disfigured by hunger. There was no sorrow or sadness in their faces, just the deep pain of hunger. I gave the food to the mother. She divided it in two, and went out, carrying half the food with her. When she came back, I asked her, “Where did you go?” She gave me this simple answer, “To my neighbors-they are hungry also.”
I was not surprised that she gave–because poor people are generous. But I was surprised that she knew they were hungry. As a rule, when we are suffering, we are so focused on ourselves we have no time for others.
Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.

Always Something Good

Always Something Good

Poems that remind us that life holds many good things, even when there are times we do not like. Plus find poems about prayer to encourage you. We hope the wisdom in these verses inspire you.

I shall be glad when summer comes,
As it's my favourite time.
The sun, the beach, the big blue sky,
The mountains I love to climb.

But just because summer is,
My favourite time of the year.
It doesn't mean I won't look back,
To all seasons with great cheer.

Fall and winter lose the warmth,
That spring and summer find.
But there are still great thing about,
Seasons that are unrefined.

The thing to try and keep in mind,
No matter what the day,
Is there is always something good,
To give thanks to God in prayer.

Look and find the things you love,
Make the most out of all you can.
Don't stop and wait for life to pass,
Life's too short to be a season fan.
