Tears From Heaven

Tears From Heaven

I believe that the Lord does sorrow
And sheds His tears upon the earth
When we hurt or avoid our brother
The jar of tears is filled with both The jar of tears, it overflows
With God’s cherished pain and unfailing love
“Why do you crush my heart, my child?
Accept each one for what they’re worth.”
Tears of lost voices
Tears of shame
Tears of compassion
A deep pool in the heart again
Flowing endlessly, this river of life
Never to run dry, never to flood
And in its path is health and salvation
All mixed with fragrance, peace and God’s love

The "Must" Factor

The "Must" Factor

Sometimes we use some words
That are not pleasant to hear.
Words like "work" or "toil,"
We may not hold so very dear.

Then we have decisive words.
We use "must" instead of "should,"
Or we use the little word "will"
Instead of the bigger word "would."

We can call it the "must" factor
When decisiveness is at stake.
We sometimes use the word "must"
When some point we want to make.

Jesus used the word "must"
In His ministry down here below.
When you read the four Gospels,
This fact you will also know.

"I must abide at your house."
Jesus had Zacchaeus in sight.
"Ye must be born again,"
Jesus told Nicodemus one night.

Jesus came to die for us,
For God sent His only Son.
He is the way we must be saved.
His way is the only one.

Acts 4: 12   Neither is there salvation in any other ; for there is none other name under Heaven given among men ; where by we must we must be saved .“

Decently And In Order

Decently And In Order

We are living in a modern age
Where any and everything goes.
Some churches compromise standards
To try to please even their foes.

When we do the work of the Lord,
Let us set our standards high,
For He deserves our very best,
And that is the reason why.

Let us do everything decently
And in order for our Savior.
Let us give Him our very best
And try to live within His favor.

Let's obey God's commandments
And seek His will every day.
Let's read and study God's Word,
And let us never cease to pray.
1 Corinthians 14: 40, "Let all things be done decently and in order."

He was a Carpenter

He was a Carpenter

He was a Carpenter. He worked with wood.
His work was flawless. His work was good.
"Come to Me," He said, "and I'll give you rest
for my yoke is easy and My way is best."

He spoke of heaven and He spoke of hell.
Great words of wisdom He spoke so well.
He reached out to all and cured the blind.
Opening their eyes and freeing their mind.

"What manner of man is this," the people cried.
"He's the Son of God," the prophets replied.
But they hung Him upon a cross of wood
although He came from God and He was good.

For this Carpenter, this Man divine,
this Friend of sinners, this Friend of mine,
placed so much value upon my soul
that He laid down his life to make me whole.

Matt  12 : 55-58
55] Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
[56] And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
[57] And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
[58] And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.56

Poet Friends

Poet Friends

They write soft words with loyal pens
about God's love that far transcends
our drear, dark worlds of futile ends.
So thankful I, for poet friends.

Though Bibles have at times been banned,
we've come to search and understand
that narrow pathway God has planned
which leads us to the Promised Land.

For each of us who are forgiv'n
and faithfully are ever liv'n,
a unique journey God has giv'n
from home on earth to home in Heav'n.

It's true, so let each poem gird
creation's rainbow, rose and bird
and other things that run in herd
with Heaven's rhyme, with Heaven's word.

Away from earth's distracting din,
in Heav'n we'll read these words again,
so write some poems. Now begin.
Make readers smile with widest grin.

Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we smile,
sometimes the words, we can't compile -
and though we cry through earthly trial -
our God shines through. It's all worthwhile.

From earthquake to the mourning dove,
God's great creation speaks thereof,
so I give thanks to God above
for poet friends ,.

Thank you!

With My Whole Heart

With My Whole Heart

How should I worship God?
How should I give Him praise?
With my whole heart, I'll worship.
To Him holy anthems, I'll raise.

He loaded me with benefits.
Blessings from Him overflow.
With my whole heart, I'll worship.
My love for Him, I'll show.

Great is God's loving kindness!
I must exalt His holy name!
I will sing His praises forever.
For Him, I'll stand with no shame.

God sent His only begotten Son
To die for a lost sinner like me.
I accepted Jesus as my Savior.
I'll praise God for eternity!
