Content


Content

We are all walking to Him
Each at a different pace
None the less we are going
To that unimaginable place.

The road is sometimes difficult
But time passes quickly by
Until a feeling of content
Breathing a heartfelt sigh.

He waits with open arms
Our journey soon will end
His peace flows so sweetly
From angels that He will send.

The look of sorrow is fading
There is nothing we will miss
All of the hurts inside us
Replaced by exquisite bliss.

We pass others on the road
Their tears touch our soul
Knowledge and wisdom fill a heart
So close to becoming whole.

Wanting to live a godly life
Trusting only in His Word
Every prayer we cried to Him
He answered and He heard.

We are all walking to Him
On a road that is Heaven sent
To hear Him whisper softly
Dear ones, I bring to you content.

I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

When Things Seem Hard to Bear

When things seem hard to bear,
And friends can't really help you;
Remember the three Hebrew children.
In the fire, the Son of God was there, too.

When things seem hard to bear,
And it's difficult for you to pray;
Remember Daniel in the Lion's Den,
Who lived to see another day.

When things seem hard to bear,
And you think, "If only I could";
Remember Joseph, sold by his brothers,
Who rose to power for God's good.

When things seem hard to bear,
And your days are closing in on you;
Remember Peter in prison walls,
Who walked out; he had more to do.

When things seem hard to bear,
And you've lost money and health;
Remember Job and his faith,
Who was given double his wealth.

When things seem hard to bear,
And Satan won't let you be;
Remember Christ and the cross,
Who died to set you free.

When things seem hard to bear,
And no one's there to really care;
Remember God has a listening ear,
Who will hear your every prayer.

Heaven Is On My Mind


Heaven Is On My Mind

Someday I'll shed this mortal flesh
And fly away to my Heavenly home,
Leaving behind this old world,
And in sin no more will I roam.

The closer I get to that goal,
I think of Heaven more and more.
How will it be when I arrive
Upon that celestial, golden shore?

Yes, the gates are made of pearl,
And the streets are made of gold,
But also God's Word tells us
That the half has never been told.

Will my loved ones meet me there
When I arrive on that glad day,
Or will my Savior greet me first
When I arrive at my home to stay?

Will I have to wait in line
To see my dear Savior's face,
Or will I see Him just shortly
On my arrival in that place?

Am I too Heavenly minded
To be of any earthly good?
I must be about God's business
And work the way I should.

Still, I am so very anxious
To see my dear Savior's face.
I want to thank Him for His love
And for His matchless grace.

Wait + Trust = Calm


Wait + Trust = Calm

Waiting . . .
waiting on my Lord,
praying for His will
praying even harder
to learn to be still.

Trusting . . .
trusting in my Lord,
praying for an answer
praying even harder
tranquility I will conquer.

Believing . . .
believing in my Lord
praying for His peace
praying even harder
this calm will never cease.

Waiting . . .
waiting on my Lord
I think I finally got it
praying not to loose it
praying even harder
never to forget it!

Thank You, Jesus

Thank You Jesus,
for giving me ~ my heart's desire.
Thank You for keeping my soul,
for You on constant fire.

Thank You for Your beauty,
the gift of Your grace.
Thank You for keeping me warm,
in Your everlasting embrace.

Thank You for this moment,
when I feel You so very close.
Thank You for always being,
the heartbeat in my prose.

Thank You for answering,
my heart's deepest prayer.
Thank You for showing me . . .
how much ~ for me You care.

Thank You from the top,
and the bottom of my heart.

for giving me this new start!
