When you were born again

When you were born again

Do you really know what happened
When you were born again ?
Do you really know God's gift
And things that He has said ?
Do you know the constants
Are not emotional trends ?
Do you really know what happened
When you were born again ?.

Do you really know you're righteous
And what that really means ?
Righteousness imparted
Is more than just being clean,
living with a conscience
That is always clear,
Do you know you're righteous
And what that really means ?.

Did you know that you got holy
And that you cannot sin ?
Your spirit became perfect
Now you're born again,
Sanctified position
And grace became your twins,
Did you know that you got holy
And that you cannot sin ?.

Do you see God as your Father
And that you are a son ?
Relationship restored
When He said that it is done,
Inheritance received
Now that you are one,
Do you see God as your Father
And that you are a son ?.

Did you know about your nature
And that it was exchanged ?
Christ's exchanged for Adam's
When Jesus took the strain,
New bias to do good
Desires come unexplained,
Did you know about your nature
And that it was exchanged ?.

Do you know what really happened
When you were born again ?
The Spirit giving promptings
Of what has been re-gened,
A free ticket given
To a kingdom that's not seen,
Do you know what really happened
When you were born again ?

Virgin Pure

Virgin Pure

One time a horrid thing occurred, but I'll keep that unspoken -
except to tell you how I felt - so sad, depressed and broken.
---
There's evil all throughout this world that eyes may never see,
but we can feel results of sin - and that, I guarantee.
So many have endured the pain, the torture, wounds and strife -
but hidden is satanic stains that steal away the life.

No soap and water cleans up sin. There's no 'work' we can do.
It's principalities we fight and faith will pull us through.
It took me years to realize that it's all in God's hand,
but let me tell my story first - so you may understand.
---
The fault was certainly not mine. I tried to just pretend
that others understood my pain about what really happened.

But like a vault, that pain was locked down deep inside my head.
Those reoccurring nightmares came each time I went to bed.

My mind was haunted day and night. Those nightmares? They were true!
I bathed and showered. Nothing worked! ...t'was nothing I could do.

Oh, how I tried! I used good soap, used all the soap I could,
but nothing washed away that sin. It wasn't any good.

Was I so blind for remedy, that I just couldn't see -
the answer? Then I realized, that it was not of me.

No, there was nothing I could do, but search and search and search,
but that's when I discovered Him. The answer was in church.

God's house. That's where He was. God sent His only Son.
Dark, sinful nightmares went away when His love had begun.

Once nightmares kept me up all night. I'd roll and turn and toss.
But then I thought, "Did Jesus sin when He was nailed to cross?"

Christ, like me, was innocent! It wasn't my Lord's fault!
Though Satan locks those horrors in, God opens tomb and vault!

No tomb could ever hold Him there! Sin can't imprison lives!
No vault can lock us up again when Jesus Christ arrives!

HIS LOVE has made me whole again and wasn't that my goal?
Yes, that my friends, brings me to tears. He cleans both body, soul.

The joy I have, now fills my heart. The problem's not with skin.
He wiped away those horrors and He brought me peace within!

So every time those thoughts come back - those things that are no more,
it's then that I remind myself that Christ wins every war.

Despicable, their ugly sin and blacker still, than coal,
but Christ gives peace of mind from sin. God cleansed my very soul.

No, baths and showers do not work and there's no other cure -
but Jesus, born of Mary, is. He made me virgin pure.

My Peace Provider

My Peace Provider

I now have the peace that surpasses
all understanding,
With time, instead of decreasing, it
is expanding.
It's with me at night as I say my
evening prayer,
Then as I open my eyes in the morning,
it is still there.

Peace that eases my mind when it is
filled with stress,
Providing me a needed comfort in my
hour of loneliness.
Slowing my heart beat when anxiety
quickens it's pace,
Leaving me better prepared for any
situation I may face.

This is a peace that is found only in
Jesus Christ our Lord,
In a relationship with Him and living
our life in one accord.
For each time I've experienced it, I
feel our bond has grown,
This peace our Lord gives, the purest
that man will have ever known.

Our Approachable God

Our Approachable God

We must approach our President
By going through secret service men.
It's hard to approach England's Queen
Unless you may be one of her kin.

Our God is an approachable God.
He is just a fervent prayer away.
We can pray to Him in Jesus' name
Any hour, any time of the day.

Communication lines are open.
He is waiting to hear our prayer.
Let's come before Him with praise.
We can tell Him our every care.

We can approach God through His Word,
As we read what he has to say.
We can also approach our Lord
When we bow our heads and pray.

The Law of Sowing and Reaping

The Law of Sowing and Reaping

There is a law we all should heed
As we live each day on this earth.
You will find it mighty indeed
But please understand it first.

It is a law that is universal,
Immense in its application.
You can be blessed by its daily rehearsal
Or doomed by its sure rotation.

The facts of this law you've already met;
It's the source of both joy and weeping.
What you sow is what you will get,
It's the Law of Sowing and Reaping.

In what circumstances will this law work?
It applies in all that you do.
Unkind words and deeds you shirk
Will surely come back to you

You will reap if you sow,
A fact that stands without doubt.
The nature of the seed that is sown
Is reproduced in the sprout.

You will reap what you sow.
Think clearly about that fact.
If heartache and sorrow you would forgo,
Be careful of how you act.

If love and respect is what you desire,
Then that is what you give out.
Choose to encourage and inspire
In whatever you speak about.

Whatever you sow, you will get more.
In addition, then multiplication.
Blessings or curses are in store
Unhindered by limitation.

We shall reap if we do not lose heart
So keep on doing what's right.
Pursue what is good and do your part
Keeping this law in sight.
