July 4th

July 4th

During this special time of the year
The corn is usually knee-high,
The watermelons are juicy
As flags wave proudly in the sky!

Families are enjoying picnics
Eating Hot dogs and Apple pie;
They are celebrating Freedom
On this day, the Fourth of July.

Birds are singing, freedom bells ringing,
June bugs are darting in their flight.
Folk gather wherever they can
To watch fireworks light up the night.

Worshippers gather throughout the land
Gladly sing patriotic songs.
Millions express their gratitude
For their families and their homes.

The smell of someone’s barbecuing
Is carried on a summer breeze.
Hear the crack of the baseball bat!
Kids cheerfully play “hide and seek”.

Hey listen, here comes the ice cream man,
He’s making his way down the street!
Women wave, men tip their hats,
Children are filled with joyful glee.

Andy Griffith still entertains us,
The flag still brings tears to our eyes!
People walk a little taller
On this day, the Fourth of July

Colors red white and blue remind us
Of the great price of being free.
Thank God for the sacrifices
Made to purchase our liberty!

So, Happy Birthday, America!
Your flag we will proudly lift high!
Thank God for you, America
On this day, the Fourth of July

America the Beautiful

America the Beautiful

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet,
Whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine,
Till all success be nobleness,
And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

This song is so beautiful and so inspiring , that I believe that God himself inspire
it . Thank you for reading this blog . May God keep his hands on you and your's this holiday and bring you back safe .

A Prayer for my Friends

A Prayer for my Friends
Dear Lord if I could only be
Worthy of one wish from Thee ,
I would not ask for wealth or fame –
For I have more in Jesus’ Name;
I would not ask for homes and lands –
My treasuries lie in Jesus’ hands;
I would not ask for health or food –
For Thou dost give me all that’s good ;
But I would that I could see ,
Just how the greatest friend to be
To see Thou’st given me to love ,
Both here and in our Homes above –
That , Lord , the love Thou hast given me
Might fill their life and soul , that they
Will never question , never fear ,
My love for them is just veneer –
But man each time I clasp their hand ,
Feel friendship true , and understand
That of Thy many gifts I see ,
They are the precious ones to me .
AMEN !

How Great the yield from a Fertile Field

How Great the Yield from a Fertile Field
The farmer plows through of fields of green
And the blade of the plow is sharp and keen ,
But the seed must be sown to bring forth grain ,
For nothing is born without suffering and pain ,
And God never plows in the soul of man
Without intention and purpose and plan.
So whenever you feel the plow’s sharp blade
Let not your heart be sorely afraid ,
For , like the farmer , God chooses a field
From which He expects an excellent yield ,
So rejoice though your heart is broken in two ,
God seeks to bring forth a rich harvest in you.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you . Cast all your anxieties on him , for he cares about you

The Valley

The Valley
I have been through the valley of weeping ,
The valley of sorrow and pain ;
But the “God of all comfort” was with me ,
At hand to uphold and sustain .

As the earth needs the clouds and the sunshine ,
Our souls need both sorrow and joy;
So He places us often in the furnace ,
The dross from the gold to destroy .

When He leads through some valley of trouble ,
His powerful hand we can trace ;
For the trails and sorrows He sends us
Are part of His lessons of grace .

Often we shrink from the purging and pruning ,
Forgetting the Husbandman knows
The deeper the cutting and paring ,
The richer the cluster that grows .

Well He knows that affliction is needed ;
He has a wise purpose in view ,
And in the dark valley He whispers ,
“ Hereafter thou know what I do”

As we travel through life’s shadowed valley ,
Fresh springs of love ever rise ;
And we learn that our sorrows and losses
Are blessings just sent in disguise .

So we’ll follow wherever He leadeth ,
Though pathways be dreary or bright ;
For we’ve proof that our God can give comfort
Our God can give songs in the night .
