Another Year Is Dawning

Another Year Is Dawning

Another year is dawning,
Dear Master, let it be,
In working, or in waiting,
Another year with Thee.

Another year of mercies,
Of faithfulness and grace;
Another year of gladness
In the shining of Thy face.

Another year of progress,
Another year of praise,
Another year of proving
Thy presence all the days.

Another year of service,
Of witness of Thy love,
Another year of training
For holier work above.

Another year is dawning,
Dear Master, let it be
On earth, or else in heaven
Another year for Thee.

The Wise Still Seek Him

The Wise Still Seek Him

The wise still seek Him,
they look to the Morning Star
they follow where He leads
no matter how far.

They come to praise Him,
to worship and adore
the wise still seek Him
wherever they are.

The wise still offer Him,
gifts from their hearts
faith, trust and love
nothing keeps them apart.

They seek His love,
His mercy and grace
the wise still seek Him
His Word they embrace.

The wise still seek Him,
this Babe, the Child, their Christ
for they know His life . . .
came at a great price!

Pressing On For God

Pressing On For God

The sands of time are sinking fast.
Another year has come at last.
God has brought us through so much.
His great love, our lives doth touch.

We hear the media give its bad news.
It seems that righteousness doth lose.
It seems sometimes that sin doth reign.
It seems that the world has gone insane.

Our God still reigns upon His throne,
And He can lead and guide His own.
Even as the ages and years doth roll,
Our Heavenly Father stays in control.

Let's trust Him and cast away all fear
As we press on for our God this year.
We can find the faith that we need.
Let's always pray! His Word, let's read!
Jan Bagwell
God Bless !
I just like to say,

"Thank You So Much.

We remember the men, who went off to war,
We remember today, what they all fought for.
We remember kids growing up with no dads.
For they laid down their lives, giving all they had.

Homes that will never, ever be the same again,
For the 'ravages of war' to almost every home came.
We remember the women, they were such brave hearts,
For 'freedom' and country', they played a great part.

We remember it all so clearly today,
For that kind of mem'ry will not fade away.
Today we remember, and we all say 'thank you,'
For the brav'ry, the sacrifice, and all you went through.

We remember the ones who lived to come home
Crippled and broken, mind, spirit and bone.
We owe you so much, we can never repay
For we can never give back, what the wars took away.

To those brave souls, who now are fighting for right,
We hold up your names, keep them ever in sight.
We pray for you all whether you're near or far,
That God will watch o'er you wherever you are.

Bring you safely home again, to loving arms
To family and friends, and no more sound of guns.
And to those who died while defending our lands,
We salute you all, with both our hearts and our hands,"

Will Jesus Return This Year?

Will Jesus Return This Year?

Another year has come and gone.
The Christians are still here,
Waiting for Christ to return.
Will He come back this year?

Will Jesus find us working
To get others into His fold?
Are we all making sure that
His salvation story is told?

We are waiting and listening
For that great trumpet sound.
We get excited thinking about
Our feet just leaving the ground!

Maybe it will be this year
That we'll meet Him in the air.
He'll take His children home
To live with our Savior there.

"Come up hither, my children!"
Maybe Jesus Christ will say.
Hopefully it will be this year!
We look forward to that day!

Indifference

Indifference

It has come! He is here! He is here!
Our Savior has come to us so near!
Born in a stable and lain in the manger
King Herod lurking, Oh what danger!

Magi heard of the baby from afar
Came to worship Him led by the star
Just as had been prophesied in days of old
Gifts for Him of frankincense, myrrh, and gold

Shepherds watched their flocks by night
Angels appeared to them from the Light
Your King has been born in Bethlehem this day
Make your way to worship Him and pray

As the Magi made their way to see the King
Where were the others with their gifts to bring?
As the shepherds made their way across the land
Did the others not see what was close at hand?

King Herod filled with jealousy and greed
Could not abide another King; God's very seed
In Jesus' day there were those who worshiped God's child
Other's were indifferent and some hated Him all the while

It sounds like the country in which I live
Many think Christmas is just a time for gifts to give
Never think of the Savior who came to save us all
Never think of the tiny baby who took the fall

Some hate Him with no plausible reason
They want to take His name out of the season
Happy holidays they say as they take your money
Just as Easter is now all about the bunny

How can you hate a man who lived a sinless perfect life
The one who can take from you all your struggles and strife
How can you hate the man who died for no reason except love
The only one who can open the door to heaven above

I pray that others can see the love He has for all society
That hardened hearts can soften as I make this plea
That nonbelievers can come to worship the tiny baby
Who came to earth for non other than you and me

Carols Of Christ

Carols of Christ

Though I enjoy some of the jingle bell music we hear in the Christmas season,
My favorites are those carols that tell the world of the true season's reason.
The ones that put Christ in Christmas and year after year they keep Him there,
For the devil tries to take Him out and there are many who have joined his lair.

Some tell of the miracle God performed when Jesus came on Christmas morn,
For this would be the one and only time that to a virgin a child would be born.
Telling us that He was born in a lowly stable, for there was no room at the inn,
Then of wise men who came bringing gifts to the special baby that lay within.

There are carols telling about angles in heaven praising this new born King,
When they joined together and lifted up their voices to honor Him as they sing.
Others proclaim Christ to be the Savior that the old prophets had written of,
Who someday would willingly give His life for our sins, doing so through love.

If not for these old carols, some would never hear what Chrisymas is all about,
Because all too often when Christmas is celebrated, Christ has been left out.
Then my prayer is that they are still being sung as Jesus appears in the sky,
Reminding us, He's the reason for the season and it was for us He chose to die.

Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, all is bright.
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia,
Christ the Savior is born!
Christ the Savior is born.
Silent night, holy night!
Son of God love's pure light.
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With dawn of redeeming grace,

Rejoice This Christmas Day

Rejoice This Christmas Day

Unto us a Son was given,
~rejoice this Christmas day~
a gift from God to you and I
the Truth, the Light, the Way.

To the world a Savior's born,

To every heart bound in sin,

To thirsty souls everywhere,
~rejoice this Christmas day~
and drink from the Fountain of Life

To all those who are heavy-laden,
~rejoice this Christmas day~

On This Christmas Morn

On This Christmas Morn

A promise to the world,
a child to be given
so many years foretold
so all could be forgiven.

Moonless night shining,
with the Morning Star
calling watchful shepherds
to come from afar.

Wise Men carry gifts,
meant for only a King
angels up in heaven
Glory ~ Glory ~ sing.

God became a man,
the Good News is born
begotten Son arrives
on this Christmas morn.

Our mighty God concedes,
to the wickedness of man
the Prince of Peace comes
to bridge the empty span.

Wonderful is His name,
Counselor to the meek
the Son was born of flesh
to give power to the weak.

Our everlasting Father,
knows our fallen state
so He sent His only Son
to save us from our fate.

A promise to the world,
our Lord and Savior is born
sing ~ Praises to His Glory ~
on this Christmas morn.
Isaiah 9:6
King James Version

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a
son is given: and the government shall
be upon his shoulder: and his name shall
be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The
mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace."

The Angels Kept Silent

The Angels Kept Silent

Away up the hillside
My Savior was led.
My humble Lord Jesus
With thorns on his head.

The angels above
Looked down on His way;
They kept silent as they
Watched Him that day.

They watched as the beam
Was dropped in a hole.
Wings trembled in rage
And made thunder roll.

Not long ago they watched
Above where he lay.
They rejoiced as the Savior
Was placed in the hay.

This time they watched silent,
They did not rejoice;
They did not echo in
Any harmonic voice.

Did they wait in their legions,
A single word to be said?
One word to prompt a rescue
Archangel led.

Did they know this way was
God's eternal plan?
From the sword in His side
To the spikes in His hands.

The angels kept silent
As He cried 'It is done.'
Did they weep as if
The enemy had just won?

As the Messiah was
placed into the grave,
Did they know of the plan
For human souls to save?

Three days passed as they
Watched the stony place.
The death shroud then fell
They looked upon His face.

Heaven could no longer
Hold back their voice;
Their silence was broken
In harmonic rejoice.

Hallelujah! He is risen!
He has risen from the dead!
He is alive! He is alive!
Just as He said!

Death has no victory,
Death has no sting!
For Christ is alive
He's the everlasting King!

The One

The One

We simply cannot grasp the loss
Until it becomes our painful cross
Whether we become the one
When at last all is said and done.

There is suffering and heartache
So humbling when we must take
Yet, if there would be but one
Who believes in God, the Son.

Rest and peace will surely come
Even when a body must succumb
Because God asks for us to care
Take the time to love and share.

And only time will truly tell
If we are the one, or the well
For the one who needs the friend
Might become you, in the end.

Life is hard and unpredictable
But God calls on the able
Yet sadly so many fail to give
In their own life they will live.

So hear the words the Savior sends
He says, "I have called you friends"
There is no greater love, cries the Son
When you are called to be the "one"

"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for a friend... I have called you friends..." (John 15:13-15)

God Sent A Special Present

God Sent A Special Present

He laid aside his glory, to be born as a babe.
This Holy God from heaven, in a cattle stall was laid.
No royal crown of splendor was placed upon his head,
He only had a manger of hay, to be his bed.

No birthday celebrations with food, and friends and toys,
Just some cattle lowing, welcomed this baby boy,
His parents knew this Baby, a special one would be
Fulfilling all God's promises, sin's Sacrifice was He.

Out on a lonely hillside, where shepherds tended sheep,
A choir of holy angels, their frightened eyes did see.
The sky was filled with splendor, angelic voices raised
Filling the night with praises for the gift of the Heavenly Babe.

Behold! We bring you tidings of peace, good will to men,
For unto you a Savior is born in Bethlehem.
He is a Gift from heaven, sent down from God above,
He came to bring salvation, and show the world God's love.

The shepherds came with wonder, and worshiped with great joy
This precious Holy Baby, Mary's brand new little boy.
Now this message has gone out so all the world may hear
God sent a special Present to all people everywhere.

Christmas Tears

Christmas Tears

I wonder if God cried when
He sent us his only son,
His most precious gift to offer
All of us with love.

Did a tear trickled down
His precious holy cheek
When he handed us his little boy
Did he then begin to weep?

I wonder if he cried when
Jesus was rejected.
Did his lips turn downward?
Was his heart broken and dejected?

For he'd given us his all,
His ultimate sacrifice,
Sending us his only child,
Were God's tears a surprise?

Christmas is a happy time
For all of those we see
But for the Heavenly Father
Maybe this could not be!

How he must have wept
Over his little boy who'd die.
His life,vanished in the wind.
Christmas had to make him cry!

Christmas, A Part of Christ's Story

Christmas, A Part of Christ's Story

To me, Christmas has great meaning.
It is really a part of Christ's story.
He came to this earth to die for us
From His beautiful home in Glory.

I wonder how His own Father felt
When it was time for Him to depart.
When in His love, He sent Jesus,
Did great sadness fill His heart?

God, in His love, sent His only Son.
For our sins, He was crucified.
This was the reason for His coming.
For the sins of mankind, He died.

Christ's story then continues.
In three days, He arose from the dead.
He then had victory over death
Just like to His disciples he said.

Jesus is now at God's right hand,
Interceding for us up in Glory.
If we call on Him to save our souls,
We can be a part of Christ's story.

Chocolate For Christmas

Chocolate For Christmas

Over in a third world country,
A missionary served God well.
The story of salvation's plan
To many people, she did tell.

She especially loved to teach
Those little children so dear.
She had a burden for the lost,
And she had a great mission here.

One of the little girls got saved.
She witnessed to her brother one day.
He asked, "How can I really know
That Jesus hears me when I pray?"

He said, "One day I tasted chocolate,
And I would like to have some more.
I will pray to Jesus and ask Him
For chocolate like I had before."

This little boy then prayed to Jesus
For some delicious chocolate to eat.
His sister knew chocolate was rare,
So inside she really felt defeat.

In America, in a Sunday School,
Joyfully every lad and every lass
Were busy gathering Christmas gifts
To send to that missionary's class.

One little boy brought a chocolate bar.
He brought a big king-sized one.
The teacher was reluctant to send it,
For chocolate will melt in the sun.

They carefully packed the chocolate
In the very middle of that crate.
Then they sent those Christmas gifts.
They didn't want them to be late.

Christmas came, and all the gifts
Were gladly given to every child.
The little brother opened his gift,
And with joy, he really went wild.

"Look, Sister! Jesus does hear
When I get on my knees and pray.
I have a big piece of chocolate
For my special Christmas gift today!"

Little brother went to the teacher.
He humbly got on his knees to pray.
He asked Jesus Christ to save him.
He received Jesus that very day.

Christmas TIme

Christmas TIme

Christmas Time

Yes, Christmas is the time,
Where little boys and girls.
Will finally receive,
Long sought for special toys.

A time when moms,
Bake cakes and pies.
When folks will gather,
Of renewing family ties.

And ones who rarely smile,
Have grins upon their face.
Those who always hurry by,
Have greetings in there place,

They don't even comprehend,
They say, "tis the season",
GO on their merry way,
And never know the reason.

I wonder why that is,
Why all that "peace on earth"
It started in a stable,
With a virgin giving birth.

It's a love I can't explain,
I will not even try.
That God would send his son,
Born - just to die.

But isn't it ironical,
though Him no honor pay,
The world spends its millions
To Celebrate His day!

Strength of Character!

Strength of Character!

It's easy to be appreciative,
when all is going well
when there is no conflict
upon which to dwell.

But, when times get tough,
we often aren't thankful
our attitudes don't reflect
the reasons we are grateful.

It's through the storms of life,
where we can learn to start
how to grow and develop
gratefulness in our heart.

So when taken off course,
don't think of it as detour
be thankful God's creating in you
a stronger strength of character!

Too Heavy

A young man was at the end of his rope.

Seeing no way out, he dropped to his knees in prayer.
"Lord, I can't go on," he cried. "I have too heavy a cross to
bear."

The Lord replied, "My Son, if you can't bear its weight, just
place your cross inside this room. Then, open that other door
and pick out any cross you wish."

The man was filled with relief and said "Thank You, Lord," and
he did as he was told.

Upon entering the other room, he saw many crosses.
Some were so large that the tops were not even visible.
He spotted a tiny cross leaning against a wall.
"I will take that one, Lord," he said.

The Lord replied, "My Son, that is the one you just brought in."

When life's problems seem overwhelming, it helps to look around
and see what other people are dealing with.

You may consider yourself much better off than you imagined.

The Sundial

The Sundial

At the center of the garden amidst nature's vibrant hue
Stands a metal sundial sprinkled with the morning dew
With the rising of the sun, the purpose comes in view
As shadows fall, revealing time, the day begins anew

Shadows move as the sun marches across the sky
Receding and advancing as time passes by
From morn to eve, on quick wing those shadows fly
Bringing forth the coming darkness of night, ever nigh

One's life here is but a shadow flitting quickly pass
Present for a brief moment, then fading lake the grass
Our days in this world disappearing oh so very fast
With the coming night so near, we wish the day would last

Frantically clinging to every precious ray of light
Pushing back those ever marching shadows of night
Grasping hold of every moment so tight
Not wanting to give up a single day without a fight

If only we knew that day is night and night is day
Then in the present, we'd not so eagerly want to stay
For no fear in the night's darkest shadows would lay
When into the blessed arms of Jesus is our path's way

A Christmas Charity Choice

A Christmas Charity Choice

Ann was no stranger to wealth.
She even owned a Rolls-Royce.
Every Christmas, Ann had to make
The Christmas charity choice.

Ann discussed it with Sam, her hubby
A month before Christmas was here.
"Sam, I really want to do something
Unusual for our charity this year."

"Exactly what do you mean?" he asked.
"Choose some worthy cause," my Dear.
"Sam, I prayed and made a decision
To help some homeless ones this year."

"I will act like a homeless person
And hang out with them somewhere,
And maybe I'll find special needs
Among some homeless people there."

Sam began to grin and laugh aloud.
Then he began to shake his head.
"That's too dngerous, Ann, you know.
You could very well end up dead."

Ann found some faded old clothes.
Then she tried to dress like a bum.
She prayed and found a homeless group,
Who were sharing a bottle of rum.

They shunned her as she appoached.
She was not part of their clan,
But she stayed with them anyway
And observed each woman and man.

Soon an old truck rolled to a stop.
There exited a lady and a man.
They handed a sandwich to everyone.
"God bless you," said Betty and Dan.

When they left, Ann found a letter.
It fell from the truck to the ground.
It was an eviction notice. Said Ann,
"My charity choice I have found!"

Ann wasted no time that very day,
For such speedy plans she laid.
She found them and wrote a check.
"With a sandwich, your bills are paid!"

Betty and Dan were not homeless yet,
But because they did God's will,
God honored this with Ann's gift.
They are helping the homeless still.

Spirit Intercessory Prayer

Spirit Intercessory Prayer

Pray when sore trials come
And you're burdened with care.
Pray having faith, believing.
Our burdens, He will bear.

Pray when your heart grieves,
And you don't know what to say.
Depend on the Holy Spirit.
He will help us when we pray.

Pray even when words fail you,
And all you can do is cry.
The Holy Spirit helps us pray
When all we can do is sigh.

Pray when the circumstances
Seem to be beyond our control.
The Lord will send us answers,
And peace will fill the soul.

The Spirit makes intercession
When we know not what to pray.
He can help us talk to God

Christmas Is Coming.

Christmas Is Coming.

Christmas is coming
And Apples getting fat
Lots of lovely gadgets
Landing on your mat
You may have an I Phone
An I Pad or a Mac
But there is an alternative
That won't leave you in lack.

Jesus is the answer
He comes to you intact
No need of apps or downloads
He is complete, in fact
You'll have no need of gadgets
He'll give you all you need
Just focus on His peace and love
You'll be forever freed.

Her Old Rocker

Her Old Rocker

I quietly sat in her rocker,
a squeaky and rickety chair.
With paint almost gone, it had weathered,
but no, I did not even care.

The folks in the yard were all browsing.
The yard sale was going quite well.
As people were browsing the items,
a man came and asked if I'd sell.

He asked if I'd sell her old rocker.
He asked me what I'd sell it for.
He gave a most generous offer,
then said he could pay a bit more.

I answered, "Her chair's not for sale.
My grandmother used it alot.
She held me as we both rocked gently
right here in this very same spot.

I turned back the years to my childhood.
It seemed it was just yesterday.
Through planting and summer and harvest,
she whispered in music this way,

"I love you just like Jesus loves you.
I'll hold you as long as I live.
And if you have faith in me darling,
I promise to always forgive."

The man smiled sincerely and stated,
"I can't afford one quite like that.
Your rocker there surely is priceless."
He left with a tip of his hat.

I smiled yet my eyes became dampened,
as visions of grandma came back.
She sat in this very same rocker,
when she had her last heart attack.

In Heaven she has a new rocker,
without all the paint worn away.
She holds a young child without mother
and whispers the very same way...

"She loves you just like Jesus loves you.
Regretting her choice, she'd relive.
But pray that she's trusting the Father,
He's faithful and sure to forgive."

I quietly sat in her rocker,
a squeaky and rickety chair.
With paint almost gone, it had weathered,
but no, I did not even care.

Have you ever really wondered?

Have you ever really wondered?

Have you ever really wondered,
stopped your busyness and pondered
and taken the time to work out
what Christmas is really all about?

Why all the Christmas decorations,
the hard work and preparations?
Why do we give all the presents
if it is only a pretence?

Come, let us go on a Journey
and ask God to help us to see
that in Bethlehem far away
God came to earth on Christmas day.

Hear the angels sing from heaven
“Peace on earth and good will to men”
Join shepherds looking down in awe
as God in the manger they saw.

For this wondrous child born on earth
Who came to us through virgin birth
is Jesus Christ the Risen Lord
and Everlasting Son of God.

It was an incredible plan
to be born on earth as a man.
The Immortal, God Only Wise
became a babe to pay sins price.

Now we have found the real reason
why we celebrate this season.
Through this event in history
God showed His love for you and me.

For that Child in Bethlehem born
has heralded a brand new dawn.
God Himself had come to the earth
to redeem us all through new birth.

Age Of Entilement

Age of Entitlement

What spurs the seasons of this life
Which bleed upon the sod?
We squander love and hate alike
To serve lust's lesser god

Freedom is not entitlement
To please our shallow pride
On autumn's crimson diadem
Brave men of honor died

Beneath the gray November sky
Beneath the warm spring sun
Beneath the fireworks of July
Our freedom has begun

Dare we to spill one hallowed breath
In thoughtless chivalry,
Or live as though we own the earth
Bought once through history?

Seasons and mankind mark the soil
Where soldier's blood-drops fell
If freedom's cost evades our toil
Then we are bound for hell

What spurs the seasons treading time?
Tis not entitlement
That brings the rain or sun to shine
On meadows that we plant
Pleading entitlemen

We gather harvest of the field
Yet, who evokes the sod?
Can we preserve our freedom's shield
Yet spurn the hand of God?

Excess of things leaves senses dulled
To need and poverty
Our reckoning is not annulled
By our prosperity

Winter, spring, summer and fall
Will we be diligent?
Or blindly stumble through them allt?

Day Star

Day Star

 My Day Star arises,
with the morning light
He shines in dark places
all through the night.

When the dawn breaks,
He gets up with me
and all of His splendor
my eyes, open to see.

He enlightens my soul,
with His glory and grace
and His love I can feel
bringing joy to my face.

His Spirit rests on me,
in my soul, He quakes
when I read His Word
my heart to Him shapes.

I seek Him each morn,
His wisdom He bestows
the Light of the world
in my life, forever glows.

My Day Star arises,
with me each new day
He shines in dark places
as I go along my way!

The Church Goes On

He really planned to go to church.
He knew it was important, and would help him in his life,
Because of all the turmoil that he faced, and all the strife.
But somehow days just slipped away, and then the months and years,
While he kept struggling with his guilt, his problems and his fears,
And so, the church went on without him.

He said he soon would go to church.
He oft recalled the childhood times he went to Sunday School,
And how he learned John 3:16, and said the Golden Rule.
And he remembered pictures taken with his blushing bride,
While at the altar vows were said, as they stood side by side.
But now, the church went on without him.

He truly meant to go to church.
He worked so many hours each week, and when the weekend came,
He needed time just to relax, or practice his golf game.
And there were dozens of small tasks that he alone could do.
Before he even finished them, his weekend time was through.
And so, the church went on without him.

He promised he would go to church.
When friends and family begged him, he had lots of reasons why
The time was not convenient, but it would be by and by.
Soon things would settle down, and he would have more time to do
The countless tasks that he'd put off, and some that were brand new.
But still, the church went on without him.

He finally went to church.
His friends all came to see him, and to say a last farewell.
And many eyes were teary as they heard his funeral knell.
They thought of all the wasted years, and blessings cast aside,
Because he thought he'd find the time for church before he died.
And still, the church goes on without him.

Prayer for Our Church
Dear Lord, please bless our church today, and as we gather here,
We ask that You'll prepare our hearts to hear your message clear.

Although we are unworthy of Your Holy Name we bear,
We pray that through our lives the world will feel Your tender care.

Anoint our lips to testify of all Your love and grace,
And use our hands to aid each needy person that we face.

Help us to be responsive to the Spirit's still, small voice,
And may the way of Godliness be always our first choice.

Equip us with Your armor for the battles that we fight,
And give us strength and courage as we walk the path of light.

Increase our understanding of the Scripture that we read,
And help us not grow weary as we scatter precious seed.

We pray our church will always be a beacon to all men,
Proclaiming truth and righteousness till Jesus comes again.

Thankful For Parking Lot Pennies

Thankful For Parking Lot Pennies

'Twas the day before Thanksgiving
When I went on a shopping spree.
I took my granddaughter, Emily
Shopping for a Christmas tree.

We walked through parking lots
And found pennies on the ground.
By lunchtime, Lillie had noticed
That many pennies we had found.

We ate lunch at a restaurant,
And when we started to pray,
Lillie said, "Let's thank God
For the pennies we found today."

"Thank you for this food, Lord,
And for this time with Lillie too
And for the parking lot pennies,
Our thankfulness also is due."

After we finished our prayer,
And we ate our delicious food,
Lillie said, "For a fudge sundae,
I think I am really in the mood!"

We ordered sundaes from the waiter,
And little Lillie announced to him,
"Grandma has parking lot pennies.
We prayed and thanked God for them."

"Is that right?" he answered her,
Seeing the child, who was only three.
"Maybe my grandma will leave a tip.
You'll like the pennies, you'll see."

The waiter and I both chuckled
At the boldness of this little tot,
But I really was thankful that day
For pennies found in the parking lot.

Who are you { in Christ ]

WHO ARE YOU? TO WHO YOU ARE! (IN CHRIST) -
THE 40 I AM'S

Who Do You Think You Are?

Proverb 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he...
Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Summary
What we think has a direct effect on how we feel, act and perform in our life. The Word of God has the answer to everything we need to be successful, victorious over-comers in life. When the enemy attacks us it is usually in our thought life. Knowing who we are in Jesus Christ will keep us strong when we are challenged in our emotions or with negative situations.
What we treasure in our hearts should be the Word of God. We can pull it out and confess it to defeat the enemy. We should confess it daily over our loved ones, our lives, our pastors, teachers and leaders to cover them and our families in the effectual truth of God.
The mind of a born-again Christian must be renewed with the Word of God on an on-going basis to keep it in line with the truth of God. Learning to hear, when God speaks comes from developing a relationship with Him through prayer and meditation, Bible reading and fellowshipping with believers on a regular basis.

The 40 I Am's

I am a child of God, (Romans 8:16) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
I am forgiven, (Colossians 2:13) And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
I am saved by grace through faith, (Eph. 2:8) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
I am justified by his blood, (Rom. 5:9) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
I am sanctified, (1 Cor. 6:11) And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
I am a new creation, (2 Cor. 5:17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
I am redeemed from the hand of the enemy, (Ps. 107:2) Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
I am redeemed from the curse of the law, (Gal. 3:13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
I am delivered from the powers of darkness, (Col. 1:13) Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
I am led by the Spirit of God, (Jn. 6:13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
I am a son of God, (Rom. 8:14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
I am kept in safety wherever I go, (Ps. 91:11) For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
I am getting all my needs met by Jesus, (Phil. 4:19)  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
I am casting all my cares on Jesus, (1 Pet. 5:7) Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, (Eph. 6:1) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
I am doing all things through Christ who strengthens me, (Phil. 4:13) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
I am an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus, (Rom. 8:17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
I am heir to the blessings of Abraham, (Gal. 3:14) That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
I am observing and doing the Lord’s commandments, (Deut. 28:1) And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
I am blessed coming in and blessed going out, (Deut. 28:6) Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
I am an heir of eternal life, (1 Jn 2:25) And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
I am blessed with all spiritual blessings, (Eph. 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
I am healed by His stripes, (1 Pet. 2:24) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
I am exercising my authority over the enemy, (Luke 10:19) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
I am the head, and not the tail; and above only and not beneath, (Deut. 28:13) And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
I am more than a conqueror, (Rom. 8:37) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
I am establishing God’s word here on earth, (Matt.16:19) And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
I am an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony, (Rev. 12:11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
I am daily overcoming the devil, (1 Jn. 4:4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
I am not moved by what I see, (2 Cor. 4:18) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
I am walking by faith and not by sight, (2 Cor. 5:7) (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
I am casting down vain imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, (2 Cor. 10:5a) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,
I am bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, (2 Cor. 10:5b) and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
I am not conformed to this world, but being transformed by the renewing of my mind, (Rom. 12:2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
I am a laborer together with God, (1 Cor. 3:9) For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
I am the righteousness of God in Christ, (2 Cor. 5:21) For he hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
I am an imitator of God, (Eph. 5:1) Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
I am the salt of the earth and the light of the world, (Matt. 5:13-14) Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
I am blessing the Lord at all times and continually praising the Lord with my mouth. (Ps. 34:1) A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

A Special Thanksgiving Day

A Special Thanksgiving Day

They gathered at the old home place
To celebrate another Thanksgiving Day.
They knew it would not be the same,
For dear Grandpa had passed away.

They tried not to mention Grandpa.
It might make Grandma feel bad.
They did not want to take the risk
Of possibly making Grandma sad.

They all gathered around the table.
Uncle John  was asked to say grace.
They secretly pondered the question,
"Who would sit in Grandpa's place?"

Then each of them viewed the scene.
Grandma had set the table with care.
At Grandpa's place, there was no plate,
But his old Bible was sitting there.

"Dear Grandpa loved the living Word,"
Grandma smiled and cheerfully said.
"His soul lives up there with God,
Even though his body is now dead."

Everyone smiled cheerfully at Grandma.
Then they bowed their heads to pray.
They knew that Grandpa was happy too
On this very special Thanksgiving Day.

Blessed Hour of Prayer

Blessed Hour of Prayer

That hour when I fall on my face,
And pour out my heart in prayer;
I perceive in that lonely place,
God's pouring presence and power.

There's no moment like the minute
When on the Spirit's wings I fly;
And from my somberness exit,
Hallowing the Father on high.

Son and Spirit have my worship;
Blood and body tremble at praise.
At the peak of longing, I weep;
Enveloped by compassion's haze

Oh! What favor it is to me,
Fresh grace and mercy to obtain!
Calling on the throne so boldly,
Telling the Master of my pain!

Then I feel His hands on me, ease
Burn my burden which comes lighter,
My heart's plight is exchange for peace--
 Been taken as answered prayer...

The Unused Power

The Unused Power

What would have already been accomplished on this earth if only a handful of people had faith equal to a grain of mustard seed?

Think about it. Mountains jumping into the sea? Demons fleeing? Mulberry trees being uprooted and planted again, untouched by human hands, just because a person told it to? (See Matthew 17 and Luke 17.)

Figures of speech, you say? Jesus didn't really mean those things would happen, you explain?

Then God has news for you: It s just that kind of thinking that has kept amazing things from happening.

The problem with immovable mountains isn't the lack of power available, it's looking in the wrong places. We depend so much on our own abilities, our intelligence, our money, our church, that we have no need to call down the extraordinary power of God.

That dependency on self is also why we have no choice but to deny that Jesus meant what He said in those passages that tell what unblemished faith will accomplish. We don't tell a mountain to throw itself into the sea because we know that those things just can't happen (Matthew 17:20). If we need a mountain moved, we form a committee, plan for years, raise the money, buy the earth moving equipment, and then struggle to move one small protrusion before the brethren get tired, bored, or just plain lose interest. Move a mountain? We can't even level a hill before we give up and change projects. Because our experiences belie the statements of Jesus, we have no choice but to relegate them to the world of the metaphor. Surely He couldn't have meant it for real! Those things do not happen!

And, by our own faithlessness, we ensure the truth of our beliefs. Those things don't happen.

But the fact that they don't happen isn't because Jesus didn't promise them. He did. Oh, how He did. And their lack of occurrence doesn't in any way validate our faulty theology. Just the opposite. It proves the very thing that Jesus taught. When faith exists in a pure form it takes very little to turn the world we know upside down. When it exists not at all or in very flawed form, mountains sit stagnate and trees grow unbothered (Matthew 21:21).

Why do those things require faith? Isn't God able to do what He wishes whether we have faith or not? After all, how many humans with great faith did He need to speak everything into creation?

No, our faith doesn't give God power. Neither is our faith a power unto itself. Faith isn't the generator in the dam making the power; it's the transmission line through which the power gets to where it needs to go. The smaller the line, the less the power. The larger the line, the greater the power. Quite simply God won't bring His power into the lives and dreams of those who won't believe what He does when He does it. He won't work His miracles to have us thank our lucky stars or praise the universal false god called coincidence. Just as Jesus wouldn't work miracles in His home town because of their lack of faith, He won't work wonders for us when our faith lacks just like theirs.

Want to see the impossible? Then forget about hitching your wagon to a star, dragging yourself up by your own bootstraps, or sucking it up to make it through the game. Forget about you and what you can do because as long as you lean on yourself you'll never command mountains or trees or demons to do your bidding. But when you immerse yourself into and completely trust in His power, you will see things the world is convinced cannot happen.

Ready to use the unused power?

Surrender in faith.

With Our Mouths

If with our mouths, we confess,
our faith in God above
then why don't we show others
unconditional love?

If with our mouths, we declare,
Jesus is our salvation
then why with this world
do we still have a flirtation?

If with our months, we admit,
we have been set free from sin
then why does Satan's armies
still end up with the win?

If with our mouths, we profess,
Jesus is the Lord of our life
then why do we still live
with turmoil and inner strife?

If with our mouths, we assert,
we walk with the Lord
then why in our hearts
isn't His Word stored?

If with our own lips, we worship,
giving honor to our King
then why are we so detached
from the lyrics that we sing?

Forgiveness: It Flows Out Of Love

Forgiveness: It Flows Out Of Love

Definition: Forgiveness means to endure, sustain, pardon of sins (letting them go as if they had never been committed), remission of the penalty, release from bondage or imprisonment. (Original Greek & Hebrew meanings)

FOUNDATIONAL SCRIPTURES
Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.

Colossians 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

Mark 11:25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 "But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."

Romans 5:5, "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."

Forgiveness comes from love.
Forgiveness is a free gift from God, but it is conditional.
Forgiveness is a command from God

Unforgiveness is an enemy of Love, it hinders our love walk, it hinders our destiny.
Why is it sometimes so hard to forgive? Unforgiveness is a form of fear. It holds us back from releasing forgiveness because we fear being hurt again and not being able to recover from the damage someone else caused us. Learning to forgive is a process, it’s an act of the will that requires you to make a decision to forgive by faith, just as in healing, you decide to believe the Word of God that you can be healed, and hold onto and confess the scriptures until they produce your healing. You know you have the ability to forgive (love- forgiveness flows out of it) inside you, it was deposited in your heart when you accepted Jesus. Paul says in Romans 5:5, "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
Now,

    1. Make the decision to forgive (act of the will)
    2. Pray for those who hurt or used you
    3. not allow the devil to stir up all those bad emotions over and over again, causing you to fall back into the turmoil of unforgiveness, just rebuke satan immediately and remind him, you have already forgiven them and your not taking that stuff back!!!

God would not command us to do something we were incapable of doing. So know, that God has given you the ability to forgive! Start confessing the Word! Start releasing your faith about it! Get rid of those fears. Confess scriptures that lift you up out of that hurt such as: "No weapon formed against me shall prosper, (Isaiah 54:17) and stand on the Word that "God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus", (Philippians 4:19) Let the knowledge of the merciful, protective love of God cast out all your fears, (1 John 4:18).

To forgive, just make a decision now, in faith, don’t wait on your feelings to change, make them change by quoting the Word of God and remember the devil is behind all the negative things people do. Fill your mind and heart with the promises of God that apply to your situation. Always speak and act in accordance with that decision. Don't say anything negative about that person. Do not rehearse the problem in your mind or with your mouth. Look for ways to bless that person...

Jesus says in Matthew 5:44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you..." and one more thing, these three steps work when forgiving ourselves for all the wrong things we have done to ourselves and others. Do not allow satan to have control over you through the negative emotion of unforgiveness.

I've told my friends, there's one more thing I wanted to teach them to do when their mind becomes overwhelmed by the accuser of the brethren, another name for the enemy or devil because he accuses us of all the wrong things we do to make us feel bad, guilty or confused and that is when we perfect praise, praising God for how good he is and how much we love him, the devil hates this and will flee. In Psalms it says God will inhabit His praises. So when in need of some peace and or joy in your mind say, thank you Lord for all you do, thank Him over and over, tell Him you love him, sing a praise song or hymn, but be real about it or try to. Release your faith aloud by quoting scriptures, it will build up your faith in Him and stir up your spirit and bring you joy in the Lord.

Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said to them, "Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

Kingdom of God Principles ( Healing Is For Us ]

Healing Is For Us

Appropriating faith is not believing that God can, but that God will. The healing of the body is a central element of the gospel.

Know that it is God's will to heal. It is impossible to have real faith for healing as long as there is the slightest doubt as to it's not being God's will. It's not God's will for us to be sick it is God's will for us to be well.

Healing is not unconditionally promise to all Christians regardless of their conduct. The most important thing about healing is having Fellowship with God; God loves us and wants only the best for us. Our healing has been bought and paid for with the blood of Jesus.

Most important about healing is being right with God before asking for healing remember Jesus went to the cross in spirit, soul, and body to redeem man in spirit, soul and body. Jesus died for our: * sickness * pains * transgressions * iniquities * peace * healing, so we should have no doubt when we ask God for healing that we will be healed.

Appropriating faith is not believing that God can, but that God will. The healing of the body is a central element of the gospel.

As central as faith is to experiencing the Lord's healing touch, there is another biblical approach to receiving healing. It does not replace faith; rather, it seems to complement faith for healing by bringing another factor into the equation that is, the mercy of God. Healing is received by faith, but many of those seeking healing overlook another important way of access to God's healing touch that is, the mercy of God. Healing is the result of God's mercy and grace.

Mark 10:46-47 (NKJV) Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"

A brief look in the Gospels will show Jesus healing people often in response to appeals to Him for mercy.

Mercy is defined by Webster's Dictionary as: 1) compassion or forbearance shown to an offender or subject; clemency or kindness extended to someone instead of strictness or severity; 2) a blessing regarded as an act of divine favor or compassion; 3) relief of distress; compassion shown to victims of misfortune.

Grace is defined by Webster's Dictionary as: 1) benificence or generosity shown by God to man; especially divine favor unmerited by man: the mercy of God as distinguished from his justice; 2) a short prayer either asking a blessing before or giving thanks after a meal; 3) disposition to kindness, favor, clemency or compassion: benign goodwill; the display of kindly treatment usually on the part of a superior.

Healing is God's mercy. The granting of mercy is governed solely by God's free and sovereign pleasure. We can't earn it. Anytime someone receives healing, it comes by God's mercy. We can cooperate and meet God's conditions, but the bottom line is, it's the mercy and grace of God. The Lord is not obligated to show His mercy on me or you, If He does not bestow mercy on us, and chooses rather to leave us in our sickness, this is His privilege. Trophimus was not healed, in 2 Timothy 4:20 it shows us that we are not always healed. We may not be healed at times, but god always has a reason.

Sometimes our sickness might be a reminder that we need to have more trust in God. Paul, the Scriptures tell us, that he had a torn on his side, but God told him his grace was sufficient. Read these Scriptures concerning Paul's vision and his thorn in 2 Corinthians 12:1-10 remember God had granted Paul a vision of the highest heaven, and Paul had heard words that couldn't be repeated and had seen sights that couldn't be recounted. But because of this experience, god had given him a "thorn"a weakness that continually reminded him of his utter dependence on god.

The exercise of God's mercy is always regulated by His sovereign will and pleasure. God is not influenced by anything other than that which pleases Him. Therefore He said to Moses, "I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy" (Exodus 33:19).

All sickness and pain is ultimately the result of sin especially the fatal sickness of death itself. But it is God's will to heal. Jesus intended healing to being part of the Christian mission of deliverance. Sin is the work of the devil so disease is of the devil. Faith begins where the will of God is known. Faith must rest on the will of God alone, and not our own desire or wishes.

We must learn to push out of the way and press beyond: * selfishness * disobedience *unconfessed sins * double mindedness *lukewarmness * doubt * emotions * feelings * symptoms.

Healing is God's will, The Old Testament records many occasions of healing by God's power. While He was on earth, Jesus was an instrument of healing to all who looked to Him in faith. Miraculous healings continued to accompany the ministries of the Apostles and other believers who walked in faith in the Lord's promises to heal the sick.

We must put away any sickness by our faith, just as we would put sin away. As Christian we must not consciously tolerate sin for a moment, yet how tolerant are we toward sickness, that we even pet and indulge our aches and pains, instead of resisting them as the works of the devil, but saying instead that we are suffering for Christ.

Faith is being so convinced of the absolute truth of the decorations of God that are recorded in the Bible that we act on them without doubt. Faith means to receive the written promise of God as his direct message to us. Praise God for your healing, because to withhold praise will show either unbelief or ingratitude. Praise him because praise is comely for the righteous. Psalms 33:1

it's important for us to remember that our Lord is gracious. Sometimes our healing doesn't occur right away, but in faith we must believe that it did occur. Even though we don't see it or feel it just knowing that God heals us is enough. It may take even up to a year or more at times the important thing is to keep the faith.

"Healing is for all of us".

KINGDOM OF GOD PRINCIPLES

KINGDOM OF GOD PRINCIPLES

The Bible says for you to first seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the things that the world seeks after, food, drink, clothing, shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33 (Paraphrased).

What is the "Kingdom of God"?

The Kingdom of God is God's way of living, a system of sowing seed (the Word of God) and reaping a harvest (the result of sowing seed, confessing that specific scripture in prayer and faith), based on the Law of the Harvest (found in Genesis 1:11-12) which generally means that what you plant, is what is going to be in your harvest, which is your heart (mind) and out of your heart spring the issues of (your) life. (Proverbs 4:23). I think that this law lines up with a Kingdom principle that is both physical and spiritual in nature.

Most good-natured people will receive a gift and want to return one in return, it is innate to most of us with a good consious to reciprocate. The Bible says give and it will be given unto you, pressed down, shaken together, and running over shall men give unto you. (paraphrased).

In Malachi 3:10, when you bring your tithes and offerings into the storehouse you are subject to the blessings and promises of God to His people. On the other hand when you do not, you open yourself up to the curse. God also promises to rebuke the devorer for us when we tithe.

In Deuteronomy chapter 30, starting at verse 15 and again in verse 19, the Lord sets before us and asks us to choose; life and good or death and evil or blessings or cursing, and then He adds "choose life". We live in a duel system world. It's either doing things God's way, (the Kingdom of God) or the Satan's way (the way of the world), there is no in-between. If we line up our life with the principles from God's Word in faith (believing, trusting and confidently expecting) we will receive the good life, the blessings and promises, including protection from God, our heavenly father.

What is His righteousness?

His righteousness means Jesus' righteousness. Jesus was made righteous and that righteousness is ours when we believe in Him and are born again through Him.

When Jesus began His ministry, He proclaimed the Kingdom of God is at hand.

Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God through parables

    The Sower - Mark 1-20
Casting seed into the ground - Mark 26-29
The Mustard Seed Mark - 30-34

Mark 4 (King James Version)
The Sower
1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. 2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, 3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: 4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. 5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: 6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. 8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. 9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
(The Explanation)
14 The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. 18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. 20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Casting Seed into the Ground
26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

The Mustard Seed
30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: 32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. 33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it. 34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

Glory , Glory , Glory

Glory, Glory, Glory

Glory, Glory, Glory,
God's awesome power
strikes in the darkness
at this gloomy hour.

Troubles may be brewing,
but His awesome love
beams down brightly
from His throne above.

Times may be testing,
but His awesome peace
to all of His believers
will never fail or cease.

The tempest is a blowing,
but His awesome trust
keeps His faithful standing
in the strongest gust.

The earth is a trembling,
but His loving flock
knows He will not forsake
those clinging to the Rock.

Glory, Glory, Glory,
God's awesome wonder
is shaking up the world
amidst His mighty thunder!

SOUL RESTORATION

SOUL RESTORATION

Lord, I look to you to restore my soul
You fill me up and make me whole

I look only to you and no other
As you are my father and your son is my savior

I want to do your will and walk in your ways
I want to feel the drops of your amazing grace

Forgiving, loving, miraculous, and breath-taking
Always on my side and never forsaking

Walking next to me every step of the way
Your arms around me and never going away

I feel your overwhelming love inside
You are everything I need; You always provide

Broken, I came to you and raised up my hands
Feeling worthless and lost with no where to stand

At times I may fall from your path and stray
But I just look up at your face and you show me the way

Blessed, I am for everything, even for experiencing strife
You sacraficed your only son so that I could sin and now Choose LIFE!

Honoring Our VeteransOn Veterans' Day, we try to honor
The veterans who served our nation.
I am thankful for their service,
Transferring from station to station.

Some veterans fought on front lines.
Many veterans served in harm's way.
Special honors are due these veterans.
Let us give them honor on this day.

Some fought in fox holes and trenches
In some foreign lands across the sea.
Others protected our dear home front,
Providing safety to you and to me.

Let us be thankful to all our veterans,
And let us pray for our nation too.
May God bless America, our great land,
And for God, may Americans stand true.

The Theater

The Theater
A villager came to the big city for the first time in his life.
He was amazed at the many wonders in the big city. He wanted to
buy something to bring back to his village. Most of the items
needed electrical connection and his village didn't even have
any electricity. He was delighted when he found a flashlight.
He bought the flashlight, which fascinated him every time he
pushed the switch and a bright light came on.
As he continued on his way, he noticed people waiting in line.
He inquired what this line was for and was told that they were
waiting to enter a theater where there was a movie playing.
He had no idea what a movie was, but decided to wait in line
too. He paid for a ticket and was ushered into a dark room.
After a little while, a picture started playing. He was
fascinated to see the beautiful scenery and all the action on
the screen.
Then he remembered the flashlight in his pocket.
"I will shine the flashlight on the picture, so I will see it
even better." He took out the flashlight and shone it straight
at the screen, but to his amazement the picture became faded.
From all sides people started shouting that he should turn off
the light!
"But I only wanted to get a better view of the picture," he said
to the one sitting next to him.
"Don't you know? Here, we see only in the dark!"
replied his neighbor.
The moral of the parable:
The same is in the theater of this world. Many of the pleasures
and values which people pursue have value only because we find
ourselves in spiritual darkness. When we bring spiritual light
into our lives, these values and pleasures fade, for they are
only imaginary and temporary.

Abba

“Abba, Father,” Jesus said, “Take this cup from me”
whilst praying in the garden of Gethsemane.
“I know that all things are possible for You
and that there is nothing that You cannot do.”

“Yet not what I will but what You will,” He said
as in deep anguish great drops of blood He bled.
Then He went on to complete salvations plan
agreed by the Godhead before time began.

“Abba, Father,” like Jesus we too can cry
as we pour out our soul to the Lord on high.
For sons and daughters of Mighty God are we
and never more in slavery shall we be.

The Spirit of Christ is dwelling in our heart
and causes all the dread and fear to depart.
For our Lord Jesus drained that bitter cup dry
when He bowed His head upon the cross to die.

“Abba Father,” the Spirit has testified
that we’re the children for whom He has died.
We’re heirs of God and co-heirs with Jesus Christ
sharing in His suffering and sacrifice.

No more as orphans for the Father we know
we’re in His family where life's riches flow.
Led by the Spirit we gaze upon His face
and His love floods into our soul by His grace.

We are sons and daughters of the living God
when we walk the same pathway that Jesus trod.
We’re saved by His grace and purchased by His blood
and trusting in the promises of our God.

3D

3D
==
When I took my kids to see their first 3D movie, I was blown

away with how the glasses altered my vision.

Not like I expected though.

I was not overly impressed with the 3D effects in the movie

itself; what really surprised me was what happened when I exited

the theater.

When I came out of the theater and removed my 3D glasses,

I experienced the greatest parable of life.

"Life is how we view it."

After wearing glasses where one lens was red and the other was

blue, my eyes had adjusted to the colors.

Now with my naked eyes, out of one eye the world had a blue tint

and out of the other eye the world had a red tint.

I could not believe my eyes, I had never heard of that

phenomenon before. I rubbed my eyes and closed one eye and

alternated them over and over. Everything looked redder, then

everything looked bluer, over and over.

I had enough scientific knowledge and common sense to know the

whole world was not changing colors, timed perfectly to the

instant I shut one eye and opened the other.

This was the most altered my vision had ever been, yet it was

perhaps the clearest I had ever seen the world.

I now saw the argument between the optimist and the pessimist

solved, it depends on which eye you have open.

In your life, do you focus on those who have more than you or

those who are less fortunate than you?

Do you focus on how bad your job is or that you have a job?

Do you focus on the smallness of your closet and house, or do

you see that you have so many clothes you don't have room to

store them?

What eye are you looking out of?

If you want the world to look differently, it may be easier for

you to open the other eye than to paint the world.

What's Under Your Robe?

Sin isn't just the kind,
observed with the eyes
there can be so much more
no matter the disguise.

People may point out,
the obvious sin in our life
but it's the sin that's unseen
that will cause eternal strife.

Sin that can't be seen,
that we keep deep within
doesn't go unnoticed
though we think it's hidden.

For God sees our hearts,
the sins we're harboring
He knows every deep secret
that we are nurturing.

We need to check our robes,
look under what it covers
there may be sin in us . . .
He wants us to discover!
