Your Arrow

Let my aim be sure
As my heart be pure
When I fire Your Arrow
To save those in sorrow

Your Mighty Arrow
Of deliverance
Removes sorrow
And brings repentance

Your Arrow of Victory
By Your Authority
Brings Love and Mercy
And indeed Grace it does carry

Everyday is Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a special day we celebrate each year
When friends and family meet and gather especially near

A day of remembrance for the blessings we've received
A day for thanking the Almighty one in whom we believe

The first Thanksgiving was celebrated at Plymouth Rock
When the Pilgrims made a feast from their meager stock

And took the time to thank God for seeing them through thus far
And I'm sure they thanked Him for heaven and earth and His guiding stars

They had survived many a hardship over their first year
And thought it time to celebrate with merriment and cheer

They knew that God was the source of all of their good fortune
And that they must give thanks for all the blessings they had gotten

So once a year we celebrate Thanksgiving Day so dear
But really we should celebrate each and every day of the year

For God so richly blesses us each and every day of our lives
If not for him, not only would we not survive, we would never thrive

So each day when you rise to greet the morning sun
Have yourself a Thanksgiving Day for all that God hath done

Lord, We Give You Thanks...

Lord, we give You thanks, for the bounty of this land,
As you have touched the earth, with the power of Your hand,
Causing grain to flourish, giving forth our daily bread,
Love's provision for Your children, that we are always fed.

Lord, we give You thanks, for the fruit of the tree,
Whose seed is in itself; a wondrous mystery of Thee...
And for the horn of plenty, overflowing from the fields,
The fatness of the earth, and the harvest that it yields.

Lord, we give You thanks, for the sun that's in the sky,
For the seasons of the moon, and the dew that falls from high.
For the hills watered from Your chambers, as You satisfy the earth,
Then send forth Your warmth, to nourish its rebirth.

Lord, how great are your works! In wisdom You made all,
To heed Your mighty voice, and hearken to Your call.
We praise You Precious Father, today and every day!
Please bless our time together, as we bow our heads and pray.

Lord, we give You thanks, for our family and our friends,
As we gather in Your Name, please help us comprehend,
That every good and perfect gift, is from Your Throne Above,
That we may see Your glory, and be nourished by Your Love!

Be Still . . .

Be still, my soul, be at peace,
let not thy worries overcome.
Be still, and know He is your God,
and will . . . your heart strings . . . strum.

Be still, my heart, and let go,
let surrender be thy sweet release.
Be still, and know God's saving power,
to eternity, can never fail or cease.

Be still, my mind, and give Him thy all,
let thy weakness take you to your knees.
Be still, and know of God's sufficiency,
where His glory, surpasses all thy needs.

Be still, my spirit, admit thy defeat,
let thyself dwell on things from above.
Be still, and know He is in control,
and be strengthen, by and in His love.

Be still, my soul, be at peace,
let Him complete in thee His perfect will.
Be still, and know He is your God,
and will . . . your heart strings . . . still.

Psalm 46:10

Jesus, A True Friend

Jesus gives great peace
in a time of war
always there to help
the needy soul and poor
Jesus will never fail you
when you need His guiding hand
He'll pick you up and carry you
till you reach the promised land

Jesus never fails, His love will carry you
He is ever faithful and a friend so true

Jesus will always love
and never forsake you
Even when the sea is stormy,
He'll see you through
Jesus has all power
to give the victory
He already conquered the enemy
on the cross of Calvary

Jesus never fails, His love will carry you
He is ever faithful and a friend so true

Jesus is never bitter
His love is true and strong
You can always count on him
to never do you wrong
Jesus' love is always constant
and steady to the end
In Him you could never find
A more truer friend

He's Still There

When troubles come our way,
And sorrows seem to stay,
And our blessings seem so bare,
Our God reigns! He's still there!

When storms howl all night,
And nothing turns out right,
And it seems that life's not fair,
Our God reigns! He's still there!

When the storm clouds roll away,
And we see the light of day,
Yes, it seems that He doth care.
Our God reigns! He's still there!

When we're on the mountain top,
It seems the blessings do not stop,
And our blessings we want to share,
Our God reigns! He's still there!

Our God is there all the time,
If we're rich or have not a dime,
In good health or in great despair,
Our God reigns! He's still there!
