For Evermore

For Evermore

When my worries are final over,
and I stand in peace galore
all my fears and trepidation
will not trouble me ~ evermore.

When my nights are full of light,
and I stand on freedom's moor
all my struggles and my labor
will not beset me ~ evermore

When my heart stops to beat,
and I stand at mercy's door
all my pain and all that hurts
will not grieve me ~ evermore.

When my days on earth are done,
and I stand ~ to plea and implore
all my sins and transgressions
will not damn me ~ evermore

When my last breath is taken,
and I stand on heaven's shore
all my sobs and every sorrow
will not be ~ for evermore!

Revelation 21:4

"And God shall wipe away all tears from
their eyes; and there shall be no more
death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away."

Happy Ever After

Happy Ever After

If only there could be a happily ever after,
Days of fragrant flowers and a life full of laughter,
A place of liberation for my soul to run free
Like an eagle soaring high above the trees.

Oh…to feel the breathe of God blowing in my face
As I dance with the stars that God has put in place.
How my soul would rejoice just to be totally free
For I am weighted down with sins captivity.

Even nature's longing for the day of perfect rest
When the curse is lifted and we become heaven's guest.
We're groaning and travailing, longing to be released
From this dreadful curse of life without perfect peace.

Oh… soul I know that it can't be very much longer
Till we're finally there in the happily ever after.
Some say this cannot be, that there is no such place
But we will be taken there by his love and grace

To a place where all creation will finally rest
A place where we'll go after the trials and the tests!
In the happily ever after, spirits running free
As we fall into Jesus arms just loving on thee!

Meanwhile, we groan as we're longing to be released,
To be clothed with our Father's righteousness and peace.
We will enjoy the presence of his holy laughter
Living with our Father in the happily ever after!
II. Cor. 5:2, Rom. 8:18-23
"Meanwhile we groan, longing for our heavenly dwelling because when we are clothed we will not be found naked. For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling."

Courage To Live :

Courage To Live :

To those who have tried and seemingly have failed ,
Reach out ,dear Lord , and comfort them today ;
For those whose hope has dimmed ,whose faith has paled,
Lift up some lighted heavenly torch , I pray .
They are so frightened ,Lord ;reach out a hand .
They are so hurt and helpless ; be their friend .
Baffled and blind ,they do not understand –
They think this dark and tangled road the end .

Oh ,touch to flame their hope that has burned low ,
And strike with fire faith,s ashes that are dead .
Let them walk proudly once again ,and go
Seeking the sure and steadfast light ahead .
Help them to move among their fellow men
With courage to live ,courage to try again .

This Tiny Cross of Pain

This Tiny Cross of Pain

Though prayers for healing
 seemed in vain ,
God helped me learn
 to live with pain ;
To use the very
 thing I dread
For closer walk
 with Him  instead ;

And how to lend
 a listening ear

To those who hurt\

 and shed a tear

of symapathy,

or press their hand –

worth more because

I understand .

Dear God ,if that’s

the only way

You’d have me serve

from day to day ,

please use this

tiny cross of pain

 for others

 and for Heavens’s gain !

Penned With Love

Penned With Love

Back in a corner, where she hid,
I met a little child, I did.

She was a quiet, fragile child
who never laughed and seldom smiled.

Her eyes were blue, her hair light brown,
but she was hurt and feeling down.

Her clothes were tattered, filled with holes.
like many people and their souls.

I spied her tears when she had cried.
I had not known her mother died.

Her age was eight, or maybe nine.
Her troubles were much more than mine.

I knelt down close to her and said,
"Have you a home? Have you been fed?"

Despite the crowd that gathered 'round,
our space was quiet - without sound.

I reached deep down in pocket and
I held your poem in my hand.

I opened scrap of paper proud,
then read your poem right out loud.

My eyes became a fuzzy blur.
I know you wrote it just for her.

She reached for me with all her hurt.
I hugged her back, ignoring dirt.

Words can't replace a bed and food
but fills with joy, the attitude.

I haven't seen her for awhile,
but know your poem made her smile.

Though some write many, some write few.
We've penned with love our words to view.
So write your rhymes unselfishly
with kindness, care and empathy.
And don't be hurt when I'm away
out sharing poems day to day.
Much better than some silly toy,
your words, for some, give real joy.

Back in a corner, where she hid,
I met a little child, I did...
Thank you  very much Sandra , as you wish I will not use your last name .

Quiet Heart

 Quiet Heart

A quiet heart is one,
soaked in confidence
for God’s mighty power
has in it, dominance.

A quiet heart is one,
having nothing to fear
for it knows God’s promise
is to always be near.

A quiet heart is one,
steeped in eternal peace
for the faith that it holds
brings it constant release.

A quiet heart is one,
standing calmly still
for it knows to seek daily
God’s most perfect will.

A quiet heart is one,
immersed in assurance
for it knows the race . . .
is won on endurance.

Isaiah 30:15

“For thus saith the Lord God,
the Holy One of Israel;
In returning and rest shall
ye be saved; in quietness and
in confidence shall be your
strength: and ye would not.”

Holy Spirit"s Power

Holy Spirit's Power

This year I want to be,
filled with the Holy Spirit
to His mighty boldness . . .
I want daily to commit.

I want to be enlightened,
when I read the Good News
I want to help show others
the path they need to choose.

I want to be encouraged,
as I advance in the fight
I want to inspire others . . .
to come to the Saving Light.

I want to help set free,
the captives of the dark
I want to ignite in them
the Holy Spirit’s spark.

I want to exchange my pain,
for praise and joyfulness
I want to be a testimony
to God’s peacefulness.

This year I want to help,
others to learn to cope
I want them to see in me
the reason for my hope!

Acts 4:31

“And when they had prayed,
the place was shaken where
they were assembled together;
and they were all filled
with the Holy Ghost, and
they spake the word of
God with boldness.”
