Judas takes the Fall

Judas takes the Fall

Judas takes the fall

I thought of Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve that followed Jesus;
His name is one of betrayal, a name that doesn’t please us.
Young Judas was filled with greed; he tried to force the Masters hand,
He wanted Jesus to rise and lead, driving Gentiles out from Holy Land.

Jesus knew well the one, whose name, was appointed to betray.
He dipped the bread into cup of wine, and passed it Judas’ way.
Judas took the bread from Christ; as Satan possessed him then,
Go and do this awful deed. Be quick! It was a matter now of when.

Judas met with the high priests, it was thirty pieces of silver he would gain.
He’d lead the guards where Jesus prayed, in agony and pain.
“Father, if it be thy will, let this cup pass me buy,”
But God’s promise to fulfill, Jesus had to die.

Into the garden came the guards, Judas had lead them there.
And with a kiss to Jesus’ face, he took the devil’s dare.
“Thy betray the Son of Man with a kiss,” Jesus replied,
Guards seized Jesus and arrested Him, so that He’d be tried.

When the mock trial was over, the Sanhedrin had won the bout,
They mocked, and scoffed, and struck the Christ, before they took Him out;
Accusing Him of blasphemy, “Crucify Him,” was their shout.
Judas now with loss for words, He’d taken another route.

Judas now in agony, realized the deed he’d done,
His tormented soul plagued him now; he’d betrayed God’s only Son.
His plan of action, its course was run; the plan had been ill gain.
He took the silver back to the priests, too late now to complain.

The priests laughed at Judas, as he threw his silver to the ground;
The agony was much too great, solace could not be found.
Insane with grief and shame, he could not understand,
How he could follow, love and betray, Christ the Son of Man.

The pain tore deep into his heart, as rendered by a knife;
And as to relieve the deed he done, Judas took his own life.
He hung himself upon a tree that broke, and Judas tumbled down;
He hit the earth with awful force, his guts spilt over the ground.

Why was Judas chosen, for Satan to possess his mind?
God’s plan had to be put in place, in order to save mankind.
Jesus taught about the love of God, His mercy and His grace;
Judas had chosen to do the deed; he knew what he would face.

I felt remorse for Judas today, and you might recall;.
To implement God’s saving grace, Judas would take the fall.
Judas was possessed by Satan; or was he sound of mind;
But for the job that Judas did, should God treat him so kind?

God is our Creator, and sustainer of all life,
But sometimes God works miracles, in our time of strife.
God loves all His children, regardless of their sin;
But don’t let Satan possess you, instead let Jesus in.

Judas has to answer, for all that he has done.
If Judas hadn’t done it, you might have been the one.
And much the same, yet in other ways, The Son we might betray,
Guard your heart, be vigilant, and don’t forget to pray.

God Raised Him Up

God Raised Him Up

Jesus died upon the cross
And was placed in a darkened tomb
But from that dark, there came a spark
That would all darkness doom

For Jesus was the Son of God
He died on the cross for sin
He endured death’s strife, He reentered life
Yes the dead Christ rose again

He did not break the prison bars
No He did not struggle free
Here the deceased was sweetly released
By heaven’s most lawful decree

Christ’s Resurrection is the proof
That the cross is our relief
It exposes lies, and it justifies
For it leads us to belief

Today the gospel is confirmed
Unbelief is sheer conceit
For the debt was paid, the way was made
“He is risen” is our receipt.

For the Son said “It is finished”
Then the Father said “Amen”
Christ drank the cup, God raised Him up
Victorious over sin.

Way of The Cross

Way of The Cross

Tis important to remember,
the holy Standard that was set for us!
Its purchase was selflessly made
by our beloved Christ Jesus.

Upon Calvary, this single sacrifice
of Jehovah's perfect, atoning Lamb
completely demonstrates the truest form of Love
from our God, the Great I Am.

Lord, we may not entirely comprehend,
how Your ways are superior to our own,
but we need to realize that we're called
to reach towards Your Kingdom throne.

From the cruel spilling of Your Son's royal blood,
the ransom for Humanity was fully paid;
and the foundation of Heaven's eternity
has been utterly sealed and forever laid.

Understand the Ties?

Understand the Ties?

When someone is so nice to you that tears come to your eyes,
how often do we think of them and understand the ties?

A mere "thank you" is not enough, nor is a pretty card -
and smiles and hugs? They too fall short as inch does to a yard.

When someone acts unselfishly and goes the extra mile,
so priceless are the friendships of the loyal caring smile.

And also true, when life surrenders full and total loss,
that everything falls ever short when viewing full, the cross.

When someone dies for what we've done, it's something to behold.
His precious, loving, selfless act is worth much more than gold.

When someone is so nice to you that tears come to your eyes,
how often do we think of Christ and understand the ties?

The Answer is the Empty Tomb

The Answer is the Empty Tomb

My heart is full of worry
And my mind with anxious care
The answer is the empty tomb
His body is not there

My soul is filled with fear and shame
My life is filled with dread
The answer is the empty tomb
Christ risen from the dead

The world is full of sorrows
All the cities full of woe
The answer is the empty tomb
The whole world needs to know

The youth are filled with unbelief
The schools are filled with doubt
The answer is the empty tomb
The Savior made it out

No matter what you’re facing
No matter how it feels
The answer is the empty tomb
A risen Lord that heals

In the Midst of Storms

In the Midst of Storms

I'm in the midst
Of a raging storm.
Who do I see?
A radiant Form.

"Take My hand;
Don't look around.
Only safety in Me,
Can be found."

I have disobeyed;
I turned and ran.
Forgive me, Lord;
I'll follow Your plan.

"Just in time,
I prepared a 'whale';
My love for you,
Will never fail."

Doubts and fears
Have overcome me;
I need more faith
To trust You, fully.

"The power I have
To calm the sea,
Will get you through
Until eternity."

I praise Your Name,
My Great Deliverer.
In the midst of storms,
You'll leave me, never.

Even To This Mountain

Even To This Mountain

"I have led My children onward
Through the Wilderness of Sin,
Through ways lone and twisted,
With enemies hemmed in.

I clave the rock and gave them drink.
I lit their way with cloud and fire.
I fed them with angel's food,
And My Right Arm did not tire.

Onward, upward--teaching them
In all things to obey;
And those, who overcome, will know
I have led them all the way.

Tempting Me, forsaking Me,
I gave them their desire
But, I also brought them discipline
By rod, and death, and fire.

Those who repented, I forgave.
I opened Grace's Fountain.
Like a flock, I--The Good Shepherd
Led them even to this Mountain."

Mount Zion! Great and Glorious!
Her beauty streams with Light.
Heaven's border--God's own Sanctuary
Where all within is Right.

Oh, Shepherd, forgive my wanderings!
Feed me ever with with This Fountain...
That I may rejoice in truth to know
You have led me even to This Mountain!
Rev 21:10-12
And the angel carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from God...
