Life Principles that Ensure Success

Proverbs 24: Life Principles that Ensure Success

Here is what makes a family strong, the elements for success:
Parents choose appropriate values around which they coalesce.
They construct the foundation of their home with wisdom from on high
Furnishing it with His wealth of knowledge from heaven's endless supply.

Godly wisdom brings power and strength to one's intellect and spirit,
But sadly so many reject His Word and simply will not hear it.
God's Wisdom is too high for such fools; they live in the worldly system.
Until they turn to God above, there is nothing that can assist him.

If you faint in times of trouble, your strength is feeble indeed.
Those who love God run the race with an inexorable will to succeed.
The righteous may fall time and again but rise to continue the race
Knowing the day is coming soon when he will see Him face to face.

Rescue those unjustly sentenced; unfairly condemned to die-
The infant still in his mother's womb, helpless to utter a cry.
Don't try to tell God a child born will spoil your satisfaction.
You will be judged not by your words, but solely by your actions.

Do not admire evildoers or envy the wicked folks,
For evil people have no future, nor do have any hope.
The Day of Judgment will surely come; they cannot flaunt their sin.
For them the Lake of Fire awaits, and they will be thrown in.

If you are a man of authority, one trusted to be a judge,
Don't use your office to favor your friends nor to advance a grudge.
If you declare the wicked righteous, your reputation is stained.
There is no way such obvious sin can ever be explained.

I observed a lesson in the field of a lazy farmer indeed.
It don't know why he sowed the soil with his valuable seed.
Thorns and nettles covered the field, the walls were broken down.
There will not be much of a harvest to take to market in town.

A little slumber, some extra sleep, too many stops to rest
Brings poverty and devaluation, your property worth less and less.
It is hard to see enterprise fail because of a lack of ambition
Instead of success he finds himself in the opposite condition.

I trust these proverbs written above, whose source is God's perfect Word
Will be treasured by those who read them; their message clearly heard.
Heed the advice of omniscient God; no one knows life better:
There's far more joy being an owner than to serve as a lazy debtor.

"...an angel of the Lord appeared to him (Joseph) in a dream and said,
"Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid
to take Mary home as your wife,
because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit."

Psalm of David.

The Lord is My Shepherd
1{A Psalm of David.} The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Heart Disease

Heart Disease Heart disease,
is on the rise . . .
so many now
the truth despise.

Their love for God,
has lost its beat
they won't admit
their own defeat.

Heart disease,
has run amok
so many now
stuck in sins rut.

So many needing,
a defibrillator
so they can return
to their Creator.

Heart disease,
is on the rise . . .
but those faithful
are remaining wise!

We Are The Clay

We Are The Clay

The clay cannot tell,
the Potter what to do
if its to be made . . .
into something new.

For, it is full of lumps,
hard and marred places
it needs His grace
to fill in all the spaces.

The clay cannot say,
to the Potter, do this
it needs to be pliable
or blessings it will miss.

For, it is full of cracks,
fissures and large gaps
He needs to work His mercy
into the wayward scraps.

The clay cannot tell,
the Potter what to do
it must remain pliant . . .
until He is good and through!

The Road To Calvary

The Road To Calvary

The Bible is an atlas
and the verses are a map
that shows each person
exactly where they're at.
Don't take a detour,
no telling where they'll lead
for there aren't any detours
on the road to Calvary.

Jesus is the bridge
that connects us to our God
and He walked the trail
that you and I have trod.
He paved the way for us
by dying for our sin.
How we don't have to go
exactly where He's been.

He walked the road to Calvary
and took a trip to hell
and preached to the sinners
that had already fell.
He showed them the scars
that upon His back He bore
and those that came back with Him,
a robe and crown they wore.

Listen very carefully
for now it's time to go.
Jesus loves you more
than you will ever know.
Follow the map
that He left for you and me,
for there aren't any detours
on the road to Calvary.

The Reasons Why

The Reasons Why

Two People lie sick, each a child of the King
Both with fevers increasing, both which death longs to sting
Both have hands laid upon them, both are covered with prayer
Both are anointed with oil, both are showered with care

But for one there's a miracle, he is raised from death's bed
Beyond all medical reasons, the sickness has fled
But, the other has left us, though the prayers had been so bold
And we stand at the casket with the body so cold

When Your Word was true for both
And to both, Your love, You gave
Why is so, Lord
That one died, but the other you saved?

"Lord," we are asking, "why did the child die?"
"All the Scriptures that we stood on… were they all just a lie?"
"What happened God? How much faith did we need?"
"We truly thought we had a least a mustard seed!"

But, we must realize that if we could figure God out
Surely, in our eyes, He would lose much of His clout
Being unsearchable is a part of being divine
No one really wants a God smaller than their own mind

For now, the sky may not be blue, there's nothing but rain
Yet, we still praise God in the midst of our pain
And as hurt as we are, we know God is there
As we learn to accept that life is not fair

But, God has a made a promise, one day He'll share His 'secret things'
Let us meditate upon that, and the gladness that it brings
For after that awesome Rapture, or one the day that I may die...
I will get to ask my questions... and learn The Reasons Why

Our knowledge is fragmentary, incomplete and imperfect, and our prophecy, that is, our teaching, is fragmentary, incomplete and imperfect. But when the complete and perfect comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away. When I was a child, I could talk, think and reason things out only as a child could. But, now that I've become a man, I am able to talk, think and reason beyond a child's level. But, for now we are still like children looking in a mirror that gives only a dim and blurred reflection of reality... unable to understand, but a time will come when we shall see things in true reality and God face to face! When that time comes, then I shall know and understand things fully and clearly, in the way that God has always known and fully understood me. The words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:9-12

Life Lessons

 Life Lessons

It has been said that life is the most patient teacher. You will be presented with the same experience over and over until you learn the best way to deal with the situation. This is not because life is cruel. Rather, it is because things have a way of coming back to haunt us when we don't deal with them. One form of intelligence is the ability to learn from mistakes. When you are presented with a painful experience, take the time to think about how you can avoid it in the future. This is an example of a lesson learned.
