Indeed, He Hears

Indeed, He Hears

My prayer is that I'll not grow weary of praying for those on my list,
That I will lift them up daily, making sure that not even one is missed.
For at times it appears my prayers are in vain, but I know it's not true,
Thing is Lord, You are working in areas that could be only known to You.

Lord I'm sure there have been many believer's prayers that You've heard,
Who became discouraged when what they'd expected never occurred.
Yet Lord, some of those prayers from back then, are answered today,
Through time, You moved mountains that were standing in the way.

When on earth, Jesus prayed, setting an example for all mankind,
That as we go to The Father, there's complete trust in Him we'll find.
He knows our needs as He knows our hearts and all that is stored there,
Therefore we should be mindful of this as we go to Him in prayer.

Today, every time I pray, I believe that God will answer them all,
It'll be as He sees best, with perfect timing, when He hears my call.
For I know that He's never made a mistake and I know He never will,
Then since His Son became my Savior, my cup He's continued to fill.

Non-Negotiable God

Non-Negotiable God

We like to barter, wheel and deal
And find it rather nice
When with our ingenuity
We fetch a better price

We haggle or we might complain
If need be, raise our voice
Immune it would appear to shame
We with our deal rejoice

And so it is upon the earth
When people strike a deal
They love those things that they acquire
And how it makes them feel

Our God has got an offer too
To remedy the fall
The terms are all unchangeable
And it’s one size fits all

The offer goes something like this
Surrender all you’ve got
Receive your righteousness from Christ
Become what you are not

By faith you trade your life for His
While Jesus pays the bill
Your sins so many He forgives
And you adopt His will

We’re free to contemplate the deal
To weigh the good and bad
To look for some alternative
Which might be to be had

You will discover that it’s vain
To re-address the terms
His offer’s non-negotiable
And God stands pretty firm

The Lord has struck a deal for all
But some the tires kick
Convinced that they will end up with
The short end of the stick

Negotiating with the Lord
Just doesn’t make much sense
As though in indecision He
Is sitting on the fence

He’s not like man in that He has
Some deep inherent needs
Nor sits perplexed or all confused
And for assistance pleads

The gift of God, eternal life
You surely can’t afford
Paid with the precious blood of Christ
Such love can’t be ignored

No coupon will reduce the cost
That God wants all is real
Since in ourselves we’re not worth much
His offer is a steal!

By Grace I am Saved

By Grace I am Saved

Grace Alone
By God’s Grace alone I am saved by Thee;
A grace that is always free and boundless.
Someday, by grace, there’ll be a crown for me;
So, there’s no reason to fear what’s groundless.

By Your Death, You redeem my sinful lot.
By Your Laws, all my works are rejected.
All claims of merit, they’re as good as rot;
By You, Mighty Savior, long expected.

It pleases You to give me Sabbath rest.
Your Gift to me brings a new beginning;
Even when sin’s sorrows roll through my breast;
And the Devil’s threats seem overwhelming.

By Your Blood, deliverance is now wrought.
By grace, God’s Son was on Earth appearing;
It was for my welfare that You have sought.
Before You came, my heart was all fearing.

It’s grace, free grace, through the Begotten Son;
By grace, You have paid for my salvation.
That is all my faith needs to rest upon -
Your Words that were penned by inspiration.

With sins, God’s grace would be losing, it seems.
By Laws, I have heard and lived my sentence.
By Your glory, mercy, and love that beams;
Always causing God-driven repentance.

But then, someday, through strong faith I’ll obtain;
Through all fierce conflicts and bitter anguish.
Yet, by Your anchor, I will still remain.
By grace, no more need for my heart to languish.

My heart’s part of this fierce spiritual race;
Even by grace, when my death has found me;
I’ll know how my soul was saved by Your grace;
And there is nothing more to oppress me.

Always certain, whether its’ felt or not;
By grace, even Satan can see it.
I’ll always share whatever You have taught;
So, the Flag of Faith now I can share it.

The Cross of Calvary

The Cross of Calvary

O cross of Calvary to thee I cling
My life, my love, all that I bring
I render unto Christ my Lord
All lovingly admired, adored

O cross of Calvary to thee I look
My sins and burdens all forsook
To bear the only I can bear
I worship thee in praise and prayer

O cross of Calvary to thee I gaze
Thy lovingkindness shall amaze
The dimmest portion of my mind
My heart to wonder is resigned

O cross of Calvary to thee I bring
An offering made unto my king
Who my lips to Him inspire
Songs and hymns of His desire

O cross of Calvary to thee I make
A promise that I cannot break
In pledge to love and all forsake
To follow thee this vow I take

O cross of Calvary to thee I pray
I come to thee and loving say
How great I owe to thee who died
This debt of love thee glorified

O cross of Calvary to thee I plead
For those I love I intercede
Thy grace and mercy them impart
Thy love to touch a tender heart

O cross of Calvary to thee I go
The time will come when I shall know
My living here has reached its end
I rise to thee in heaven’s land

O cross of Calvary to thee I confess
All my flaws and unworthiness
Shall be cleansed and washed away
Before thee stand on judgment day

O cross of Calvary to thee I bless
Thou whose love art blissfulness
With whom I find joy through the pain
Sweeter yet my blessing gain.

Placing My Trust in God Today

Placing My Trust in God Today

I place my trust in God today;
So, when uncertainties arise,
I know it’s He who knows the Way.
I trust His judgment, true, and wise.

I’ll place my trust in God today.
He’ll lead me with His strong Hand;
Even when I can’t see the Way
Until I reach the Promised Land.

I place my trust in God today;
Being led by His guidance, safe, and sure;
Alone I could not find my way;
Now, I can rest in peace, secure.

I have placed my trust in God each day;
Nothing has overwhelmed me there.
I’m committed, yielded to His Ways;
I’m there beneath His eternal care.

I’ll place my trust in God each day;
Each burden, God will help me bear;
And, while I walk the narrow way.

I place my trust in God today;
Led by His Hand, I will not fear;
Even though the skies are gray;
I know that God is always near.

Moving to Heaven

Moving to Heaven

When death comes, God will move me to a home in heaven, a home that's being prepared for me.
Jesus is building this home for me, and I will soon see this home, a home that's free!

I will take nothing with me, as the death angel and I leave this old world behind.
For I will have everything that I need in heaven, things, that I would have never had on my mind.

I'll never have to worry about bills, sickness, pains, or any kind of despair.
Jesus has furnished all of heaven, so there shall never be a problem there.

I'll never need a car which often has the need to be repaired,
With God's power, I think of where I want to be in heaven, I'm there!

In heaven,I will never have to buy clothes, shoes, or anything else to wear,
For I will be robed in God's righteousness and clothed in His care.

I will never have to worry about losing anyone that becomes my friend,
For everyone in heaven will be family, so friendships will never end.

A broken heart and sadness will be something that I will never have to experience again,
For there will be no broken hearts or sadness in heaven and heaven will never have an end.

You Before Me

You Before Me

The love song of the Savior is "you before me"
To the extent of His choice to die on a tree
For the sins of all people, oh how can this be
A love that's so sweet, exceeding eternity.

What love is displayed as earth clutches His knees
Bowed down in the garden, to the Father He pleads
A way out if desired, all angels would lead
But Christ weeps at a heaven without you and me.

Eternity past witnessed complete harmony
Only now to be broken in Gethsemane
Oh why, Son of David, for this ungrateful breed
Would you bear guilt, so heavy, to set captives free?

If only a fraction of the cost we could see
Sin crushing the life of our Omnipotent King
Even greater the fact that He bled willingly
Might then sin be vile to God's worst enemies?

But this is the love that exceeds eternity
When Christ laid down His life singing "you before me"
Oh God You are forever exalted as He
Who prized us more than His own life, let us sing!
