Eternity

Eternity

Pull back the curtain of eternity
Give us a glimpse from within
Of the new life that awaits God's children
Those, whom he has saved from sin.

No day or night will we know in that place,
No moon or sunlight will shine.
No pain or sickness can enter that realm,
This world of eternal time.

We'll all gather round the marriage table,
We'll be there from far and wide,
No denominations or church labels,
Just unity in the Bride.

We'll spend eternity in his Presence,
We'll sing and praise and rejoice,
A thousand years will seem but a day,
As we extol with unending voice.

The Big House

The Big House

The splendor of the Big House
Awaits on the day we'll meet
As loved ones gone to Heaven
Gather lovingly at His feet.

For every Christian warrior
Is drawn to this Holy place
The majestic house of Jesus
And a promise to see His face.

Meet me at the Big House
So many are waiting there
Where eternity is our reward
Being blessed without a care.

Oh how I long to see them
With peace in my heart
That every soul that left me
Knows the moment I depart.

What a glorious plan for us
A time our Lord arranged
We travel to it faithfully
In a heartbeat we are changed.

Meet me at the Big House
We will walk a floor of gold
A white robe trails behind us
Then His voice we hear, behold!

It is beyond my imagination
But in my mind I can see
A path that leads to Heaven
When the Big House calls to me.

Basking in the warmth, the glow
Our tears fall never more
My Father stands to greet me
Opens wide the Big House door.

Meet me at the Big House
My loved ones and every friend
Meet me at the Big House
Where His light shines without end.

Heaven is on my mind .

Heaven  is on  my  mind .
Someday I'll shed this mortal flesh
And fly away to my Heavenly home,
Leaving behind this old world,
And in sin no more will I roam.

The closer I get to that goal,
I think of Heaven more and more.
How will it be when I arrive
Upon that celestial, golden shore?

Yes, the gates are made of pearl,
And the streets are made of gold,
But also God's Word tells us
That the half has never been told.

Will my loved ones meet me there
When I arrive on that glad day,
Or will my Savior greet me first
When I arrive at my home to stay?

Will I have to wait in line
To see my dear Savior's face,
Or will I see Him just shortly
On my arrival in that place?

Am I too Heavenly minded
To be of any earthly good?
I must be about God's business
And work the way I should.

Still, I am so very anxious
To see my dear Savior's face.
I want to thank Him for His love
And for His matchless grace.

Stars

Stars

This thought has truly captured me
A thought that begs for more
That stars are actually openings
Holes in the heavenly floor.

I imagine a light shining through
As our Lord steps over a star
A momentary darkness comes, but
His shadow is not really so far.

Gazing at His incredible creation
Dazzled by the sparkling night
A brilliant white robe falls gracefully
My mind can envision this sight.

Sometimes one streaks across the sky
Leaving a trail of heavenly dew
Are there holes in the floor of Heaven?
Where His light is shining through.

Oh, millions of stars glimmer above
Where time is an endless space
Surrounded by the house of God
And a dream to touch His face.

The shadow of Him so very close
Only a mere universe away
It is just a breath to Him
A breath and maybe a day.

This thought has truly captured me
That stars are holes in the floor
Openings to our Savior's house
My heart can't conceive much more.

Lord, my eyes are lifted upward
Once again Your shadow, I see
Stepping over one last star
When at last You come for me.

When Heaven I Shall See

When Heaven I Shall See

Sweet aromas fill the air,
No more pain or earthly care,
No more cane or rocking chair,
WHEN HEAVEN I SHALL SEE

The brightest Light the world has known,
The Son of God, His Glory shown,
Hand-in-hand, with me alone,
WHEN HEAVEN I SHALL SEE

All my friends and family,
That I have so long, longed to see,
Will all be there awaiting me,
WHEN HEAVEN I SHALL SEE

My mansion stands out bright and bold,
Of solid diamond, pearl and gold.
A quiet pond and fishing pole,
IN HEAVEN I SHALL SEE

Sweet Hosannas fill the air.
I'll sing out loud without a care,
For my voice will be perfect there,
WHEN HEAVEN I SHALL SEE

I'll thank my Savior face-to-face,
For saving me in my disgrace.
Eternal life shall be my place,
WHEN HEAVEN I SHALL SEE

There'll be no friends to let me down.
No broken hearts or looking down.
I'll feel God's presence all around,
WHEN HEAVEN I SHALL SEE

For now I must be in this world,
And satan's arrows at me hurl.
My Christian armor I unfurl,
FOR HEAVEN I SHALL SEE

Some day I'll leave my armor here,
And hear a great angelic cheer,
As to my Father I draw near,
AS HEAVEN I SHALL SEE

My heart will cry with every beat
"Praise You Father! Oh how sweet.
To spend forever at Your feet!"
WHEN HEAVEN I SHALL SEE

To See My Savior's Face

To See My Savior's Face

I looked through photo albums,
And memories flooded my heart.
Seeing many departed loved ones
Really made my teardrops start.

I looked through my Bible
And then read John fourteen.
My glad heart filled with joy
As I began to picture that scene.

Someday my God will call me
To that great Heavenly home.
Then I will see those loved ones,
And nevermore will I roam.

My greatest desire when arriving
In that glorious, beautiful place
Will be to meet my precious Savior
And to look upon His dear face.

Running to Dad

Running to Dad

You can run to your Father no matter what
Covered in sin, encrusted with smut
You haven't done anything He hasn't seen
And only His touch washes you clean
You can hide in a corner and bury your head
But shame like a jam will eventually spread
Slipping into your night, devouring your day
Like a child in mud, and fingerprint play
At first it feels good, and it all seems so right
When playing in darkness we turn out the light
Dancing in shadows and trying to find
Our purpose in life though traveling blind

The mountains are steep, the valleys are low
Wrapped in such recklessness from head to toe
Trying to climb it all on our own
But no one was made to do it alone
Yet still we continue to do our own thing
Holding on to a branch in desperate cling
All the while falling on the edge of a cliff
Where the stench of our sin leaves a terrible sniff
Hovering over, the portals of Hell
Dying of thirst with no wishing well
How foolish the child who tries to enact
The ways of his folly, so deeply intact

Run to your Dad, go ahead He's still there
He's already heard each heart wrenching prayer
His pockets are full of mercy and love
His compassion and grace fit just like a glove
He sees you in the distance, His heart just can't wait
To wrap His arms around you and wipe off the slate
That has kept you in a prison of sorrow and shame
Only the Father can call you by name
There is no one on earth who completely understands
And once you are there in the palm of His hands
Your Father in Heaven will never let go
There is peace in the presence of Your Daddy's glow.....
