What's It All About

Some are a little conflicted
About saying the sinner's prayer
No worries for God is smiling
He loves the heart laid bare.

But will Jesus walk into a heart
Just because of a simple prayer?
Again I say no worries dear ones
I believe God is already there.

No one knows your heart like God
If with Him you truly long to be
Christ gives the invitation to all
"Come live in Me," says He.

"But of Him you are in Christ Jesus
Who became wisdom for us from God"
Though not a prayer, but a walk
Down the rugged path Jesus trod.

You are in Him and He in you!
Words of hope and glory, I shout!
For He is able and I am not!
That's what the Christian life's all about.

The Truth will set you free !

The Truth, The Light, And The Way

Three men were hanging on crosses
After court proceedings were done.
Two of them were proven criminals.
Between them was God's only Son.

One criminal railed on Christ saying,
"Save Thyself if Christ Thou art."
The other said, "Don't you fear God?
In wrong doing, Christ had no part."

That criminal turned to Christ and said,
"When You're in Your Kingdom, remember me."
Jesus answered that criminal and said,
"With Me, today in Paradise you will be."

Jesus died to save both of these men,
And He died for you, and He died for me.
One of these men was forgiven of sin,
But the other criminal chose not to be.

Yes, three men were hanging on crosses
On that dreadful Crucifixion Day.
The One Who was hanging in the middle
Was the Truth, the Light, and the Way.

Remember only the truth will set you free

Empty Vessel.

I am an empty vessel
I'm nothing rather grand
The Lord has chosen simple me
To be His voice and hands
I know He lives within me
I know I have His power
But there is something stopping me
 Because all I do is cower.

It all comes down to taking risks
Embarrassment must cease
You see somebody needing help
The Lord will give you peace
To go and take His love to them
To aid them with their pain
This is just what Jesus did
His death is not in vain.

A Mature Birthday Celebration

 

A Mature Birthday Celebration

On this day I celebrate another birthday as I sit here
rhapsodizing and soliloquizing of the incredible grace and
blessings of God on my life!

My real wealth is in my salvation, my relationships, my joy,
my peace and the love in my heart! The older I become, the more
I appreciate the little things in life that others often take
for granted.

It is not about where I am or what I have but who I am with that
matters most. In earlier years I rejoiced over things, but now
I am fulfilled by pursuing my purpose, leaving a legacy and
reaching my destiny.

In essence, the longer I live the more I realize that it is not
about me but ALL about HIM and serving others!

I'm honored to be His servant...
still cheerfully serving!

When the wine runs out

When the wine runs out and all seems so bleak.
To whom shall we go and who shall we seek?
When the options are gone and all seems lost,
how shall we get more and who'll pay the cost?

When life runs short and our days are numbered.
When times are difficult and we feel encumbered.
Let's go to Jesus and all our burdens share.
Tell Him all our problems and leave them there.

When hope seemed so hopeless, and all seems lost
nothing seems possible and too great the cost.
God’s wonderful promise we can believe.
Let’s reach out to Jesus and His love receive.

For there on the cross with arms opened wide
“I love you so dearly,” The Lord Jesus cried.
“All is forgiven for I've paid the price
and you've been redeemed by my sacrifice.”

Matthew 11:28 - “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

The Great Poet

Oh, God is the great poet,
the universe of rhymes.
With perfect balance- all His stars
yet speak in these dark times.

Our Great Creator perfectly
sets worlds with his dictate-
while man discovers one small speck
then thinks that he is great.

He boasts of all his theories
and brags of every gain,
but can't interpret simple things-
or gravity explain.

He sits atop his buildings.
He peers down his long nose,
but topples with confusing words-
for that is how it goes.

Oh, God is the great poet-

Conquerors

We can be conquerors,
if to Jesus we run
we can be victorious
if to sin, we shun.

We can be endurers,
if our Bible's we read
we can be defenders
if to God's will, we heed.

We can be champions,
if in afflictions, we grow
we can be victors
if the Good Word, we sow.

We can be winners,
if we run a faithful race
we can be examples
if we finish with grace.

We can be conquerors,
if we heed to Jesus' call
we can be role models
if we share His love with all!
