Trees Praise God

Trees Praise God

(remembering our trip to Jim Thorpe, PA)

FATHER, how beautiful are your CREATIONS! ! !
We see YOU in YOUR HANDIWORKS.

We traveled to a place so lovely, so divine
that my heart was lifted to a place sublime,
Hills and dales, glens and mountains
strewn with dancing trees
swaying in the breeze;
Lifting their branches
high in the sky
Waving praises to God.

Cruising the highways enjoying nature's beauty
Trees atop the mountain were level except one cutey,
which seemed to shout out loud, 'Here I am!
Look at me. See?
I am up here and taller than the rest.'
The sight of this tree brought us joy-filled glee
As we drank in the view
with sky so blue
And marsh-mellow clouds floating by.

The trees in shades of green spectacular
seemed to have their own personality and venacular
Sage, Spruce, Silver, Blue, Kelly, and Forest ~
God painted an extraordinary view
in
Greens of every color and hue.
We saw their age and their youth,
strong and sturdy,
tired and worn or young and thriving
while we were driving
A sight to behold,
like gold.

FATHER, how beautiful are your CREATIONS! ! !
We see YOU in YOUR HANDIWORKS.

Sunday Prayer 1

A Sunday Prayer 1

Oh Merciful Lord I come to you today
and ask you to look down on our children,
the future of Mankind.
Each one needs your guidance
if they are not to stray
and your protection just in case they do.
The future of this world
lies within their tiny hands.
Therefore, I come to you My Lord
to look out for these children of many lands.
Point the way to kindness and humility,
guide them safely there
so they can learn and see.
Teach them that this mother earth
is not just theirs alone.
It is shared by countless other creatures,
large and small,
that we must protect it
not only for just ourselves,
but also for all the other living things that inhabit it to.
Therefore, my Gracious Lord
will grant this prayer for me today.

Amen

Trinity Sunday

Trinity Sunday

Creator, Saviour, strengthening Guide,
Now on Thy mercy's ocean wide
Far out of sight we seem to glide.

Help us, each hour, with steadier eye
To search the deepening mystery,
The wonders of Thy sea and sky.

The blessed Angels look and long
To praise Thee with a worthier song,
And yet our silence does Thee wrong. -

Along the Church's central space
The sacred weeks, with unfelt pace,
Hath borne us on from grace to grace.

As travellers on some woodland height,
When wintry suns are gleaming bright,
Lose in arched glades their tangled sight; -

By glimpses such as dreamers love
Through her grey veil the leafless grove
Shows where the distant shadows rove; -

Such trembling joy the soul o'er-awes
As nearer to Thy shrine she draws:-
And now before the choir we pause.

The door is closed--but soft and deep
Around the awful arches sweep,
Such airs as soothe a hermit's sleep.

From each carved nook and fretted bend
Cornice and gallery seem to send
Tones that with seraphs hymns might blend.

Three solemn parts together twine
In harmony's mysterious line;
Three solemn aisles approach the shrine:

Yet all are One--together all,
In thoughts that awe but not appal,
Teach the adoring heart to fall.

Within these walls each fluttering guest
Is gently lured to one safe nest -
Without, 'tis moaning and unrest.

The busy world a thousand ways
Is hurrying by, nor ever stays
To catch a note of Thy dear praise.

Why tarries not her chariot wheel,
That o'er her with no vain appeal
One gust of heavenly song might steal?

Alas! for her Thy opening flowers
Unheeded breathe to summer showers,
Unheard the music of Thy bowers.

What echoes from the sacred dome
The selfish spirit may o'ercome
That will not hear of love or home!

The heart that scorned a father's care,
How can it rise in filial prayer?
How an all-seeing Guardian bear?

Or how shall envious brethren own
A Brother on the eternal throne,
Their Father's joy, their hops alone?

How shall Thy Spirit's gracious wile
The sullen brow of gloom beguile,
That frowns on sweet Affection's smile?

Eternal One, Almighty Trine!
(Since Thou art ours, and we are Thine,)
By all Thy love did once resign,

By all the grace Thy heavens still hide,
We pray Thee, keep us at Thy side,
Creator, Saviour, strengthening Guide!

Spirit Jesus

SPIRIT JESUS

Spirit Jesus
Shadow Of The Hummingbird
The light was off to the right side of me.
The Angel had my attention first.
He appeared just to my left.
Forty feet tall his wings folded around HIM
like a man wears a cloak.
A Helmet on HIS head.
He does not need his SWORD.
The Sword was hidden under wings so nice.
The light was not from this world but
portal in the center of the universe.
The place eye want to go when leaving mortal coil.
Otherworldly experience was natural unto me.
This mourning this very day eye did see GOD.
Inn the shadow of the hummingbird that winked at me
with wings beating imppossibly quickly so fastly.
The Spirit of the LORD who lives in every creature.
And loves us every one of us no matter what we have done.
He was in the Angel of the SON last nite that visited me.
And then in the hummingbird that winked at me again HE loved me.
Inn the shadow of the little thing is where eye saw my GOD.
We are all just living inn the shadow of GOD's SON.

Crucified with Jesus

Crucified With Jesus

I am crucified with Jesus,
It is no more I who live,
I am well content with weakness,
Perfect power to receive,
And the life He now lives in me
Is my only righteousness.
Jesus gave His own self for me,
How can I desire less?

When my soul goes down to Egypt
To indulge in worldly thought,
And I’m living for my pleasure,
Not for Him by whom I’m bought,
May He rescue me from bondage
With His title to forgive.
Since I’m crucified with Jesus,
My own life I cannot live.

When I’m feasting on the manna
From my Savior’s vast array
In the holy heav’nly places
Where His blood has made a way,
How the old things are supplanted
By the new in Christ my Lord.
Crucified and raised with Jesus,
Wondrous life in me outpoured!

When I see the One who loves me
In His splendor on the throne,
Any glory He bestows me
Will be His and not my own,
And the scars of my Redeemer
Will outshine the crowns for me.
I am crucified with Jesus,
Linked to Him eternally.

God's Face

God's Face

God's Face

We have no need to see God's face
The presentation given to every child and every race.

God has placed before us master works of love
From deserts to mountains and a cooing dove.

To select out of billions our gift of sun
Like a face of God, the holy eternal one.

Rivers to lakes and the oceans wide
Twins of love as groom and bride.

Harvest to plant and keep
Giver of rain and time to sleep.

An earthly gem suspended in the sky
Gifts of our children and never to ask why.

All we are and all we hope to be
Reflected in all of God's children to give thanks to thee.
