Granda's Hands

GRANDMA'S HANDS
Grandma, some ninety plus years, sat feebly on the patio bench. She didn't Move, just sat with her head down staring at her hands. When I sat down Beside her she didn't acknowledge my presence and the longer I sat I Wondered if she was OK. Finally, not really wanting to disturb her but Wanting to check on her at the same time, I asked her if she was OK.She raised her head and looked at me and smiled. "Yes, I'm fine, thank you For asking," she said in a clear strong voice."I didn't mean to disturb you, Grandma, but you were just sitting here Staring at your hands and I wanted to make sure you were OK," I explained To her."Have you ever looked at your hands?" she ?asked. "I mean really looked at Your hands?" I slowly opened my hands and stared down at them. I turned Them over, palms up and then palms down. No, I guess I had never really Looked at my hands as I tried to figure out the point she was making.Grandma smiled and related the following story:"Stop and think for a moment about the hands you have, how they have served you well throughout your years. "These hands, though wrinkled, shriveled and weak have been the tools I Have used all my life to reach out and grab and embrace life. They braced And caught my fall when as a toddler I crashed upon the floor. They put Food in my mouth and clothes on my back. As a child my mother taught me to Fold them in prayer. They tied my shoes and pulled on my boots. "They held my husband and wiped my tears when he went off to war. They have been dirty, scraped and raw, swollen and bent.! "They were uneasy and clumsy when I tried to hold my newborn son. Decorated with my wedding band they showed the world that I was married and loved someone special. "They wrote my letters to him and trembled and shook when I buried my Parents and spouse. They have held my children and grandchildren, consoled neighbors, and shook in fists of anger when I didn't understand. They have Covered my face, combed my hair, and washed and cleansed the rest of my Body."They have been sticky and wet, bent and broken, dried and raw. And to this Day when not much of anything else of me works real well these hands hold Me up, lay me down, and again continue to fold in prayer. "These hands are the mark of where I've been and the ruggedness of life. But more importantly it will be these hands that God will reach out and Take when he leads me home. And with my hands He will lift me to His side And there I will use these hands to touch the face of Christ." I will never look at my hands the same again. God reached out and took my Grandma's' hands and led her home. When my hands are hurt or sore or when I stroke the face of my children and husband I think of Grandma. I know she Has been held by the hands of God. And I, too, want to touch the face of God and feel His hands upon my face.

Jesus , Thou Divine Companion

Jesus, Thou Divine Companion

Jesus, Thou divine Companion,
By Thy lowly human birth
Thou hast come to join the workers,
Burden bearers of the earth.
Thou, the Carpenter of Nazareth,
Toiling for Thy daily food,
By Thy patience and Thy courage,
Thou hast taught us toil is good.

They who tread the path of labor
Follow where Thy feet have trod;
They who work without complaining
Do the holy will of God.
Thou, the Peace that passeth knowledge,
Dwellest in the daily strife;
Thou, the Bread of heaven, broken
In the sacrament of life.

Every task, however simple,
Sets the soul that does it free;
Every deed of love and kindness
Done to man is done to Thee.
Jesus, Thou divine Companion,
Help us all to do our best;
Bless in our daily labor,
Lead us to the Sabbath rest.

Life and Death and Present and Future

LIFE and DEATH AND PRESENT and FUTURE

Wisdom of world, foolishness before God, As scripture says: Lord knows, wise men's thoughts: Nothing to boast about in anything human, The world, life and death, present and future.All our servants; but we belong to Christ, Christ belongs to God, we are Christ servants, Stewards entrusted with mysterious of God, What is excepted of stewards? Each one, Should be found worthy of his trust, not that, It makes the slightest difference to us, As for us, it makes the slightest difference Whether human authority approve, Lord alone our judge, must be no passing, Premature judgement, leave that for Lord's coming, He will light up all hidden in the dark, Reveal secret intentions of men's hearts, Then the time for each to have whatever, Praise, we deserve from God, is it that we, Have everything we want-that we are rich, Already in possession of our kingdom?

Joy and peace in believing

Joy and Peace in Believing

Sometimes a light surprises
The Christian while he sings;
It is the Lord who rises
With healing in his wings:
When comforts are declining,
He grants the soul again
A season of clear shining,
To cheer it after rain.

In holy contemplation,
We sweetly then pursue
The theme of God's salvation,
And find it ever new:
Set free from present sorrow,
We cheerfully can say,
E'en let th' unknown to-morrow
Bring with it what it may.

It can bring with it nothing
But he will bear us through;
Who gives the lilies clothing,
Will clothe his people too:
Beneath the spreading heavens,
No creature but is fed;
And he who feeds the ravens,
Will give his children bread.

Though vine nor fig-tree neither
Their wonted fruit shall bear,
Though all the field should wither,
Nor flocks nor herds be there:
Yet God the same abiding,
His praise shall tune my voice;
For while in him confiding,
I cannot but rejoice.

My Heart Is God's Home

My Heart Is God's Home

I may have to cry sometimes
But I never cry alone
God is there to wipe my tears
Because my heart is God’s home

I may stumble and fall sometimes
But I never stumble alone
God is there to pick me up
Because my heart is God’s home

I may have to suffer sometimes
But I never suffer alone
God is there to ease the pain
Because my heart is God’s home

It brings me joy to know
That I am never alone
God is with me all the time
Because my heart is God’s home

Sky's Touch God's Blessings ...American Love

Sky's Touch God's Blessings...American Love!

When I stare at the sky
I can feel God's presence
I can feel the Power of nature
I can feel a part of it all

When the sun lay its lights upon me
I can Feel God's blessings
and the power of being alive

When laying by the beach
even with my closed eyes
in a Sunny Day, I can hear peace
from the Ocean waves, and love
from God's allowance to such a live Paradise
For God I pray, Thank you!
May I thank God enough for all HIS blessings
and love, to let us all live here
In this American Paradise!

God's Will and Plan

God's Will And Plan

God's Will And Plan

From out of the thought the universe came as an inclusive one
Life, lights and minds, to be shared by those who live under a sun.

The thought was formed with order and change according to a plan
Earth had various forms of lfe, along with the minds of a woman, and a man.

Life was to be a shared equal responsibility of both women and men
Children to be protected, provided for; and prepared; for their time of when.

The planet was given all that was necessary for life to survive
Mother Nature to do what was necessary, for humanity to stay alive.

Each child was to be protected until their minds energy was unique and one
Children are different yet the same, as each has a seed, 'waiting fo become'..

The cells of each body their destination accomplished by a key
The sense's to feed the mind and also its long and short-term memory.

Every cell of energy, matter and chemicals into a shape or a form
The umbilical chord is cut and another human is about to be born.

Fertilized egg into an embryo ithen a fetus and then a human form
A trimester of three to total nine, as the brain connects to process and inform..

Another seed to become a being worthy of the gift of earthly life and time
A human being of individual thought and value, as the continuity of our line.

Every child is a child of God on loan to us to protect, nurture and prepare
To raise each with love and be instilled, with the meaning of 'fair'.

Soon we will be gone and it will be their turn to be called grand
Humanity is an equally shared experience; between both woman and also man.
